Hotel Julia is situated outside of the main city centre, however there are buses and the metro an easy walk away. The hotel is comfortable and generally quiet, however as it's an older hotel the soundproofing between rooms was not so great. The staff were helpful and as we were there on a public holiday they offered a free continental breakfast which was very nice. There was excellent WIFI. If you don't need to be in the middle of Madrid, then this is a good option. There are also plenty of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets in close proximity.

It would be good to have had a power socket on both sides of the bed, but that really is the only thing.

Spent 4 nights and here’s what I like about this hotel: - Friendly staff - Nice room with a bathtub - Super comfortable bed, I slept like in heaven - Regular room service - There was free breakfast on Saturday and Sunday - There’s a common coffee break area with a coffee machine and a kettle with supply of coffee capsules and tea bags - There’s a climate control system in the room so it was warm despite the cold weather outside. - Would definitely book again

- Lack of plugs near the bed. There was one on the bedside and another one under the table, so for two people it was quite inconvenient to charge our devices.

It was very clean and stylish.

There was no coffee in the room and only after we asked reception on the phone, we were told it is downstairs. We also had VERY noisy teens in the adjacent room and they banged the door about 50 x in the early morning hours. We again called reception but the noise continued until I myself went out to silence them. We had to travel fare the next day and had very little sleep in the end

- the hotel was very clean - free public parking - the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable - in general, the staff was helpful - it is located near two metro stations

- on weekdays, the breakfast is served in a cafeteria next to the hotel with not many options. However, the tostada with tomato was quite good - on the day before we left, we asked the reception if there was any way we could take our breakfast the next day a little bit earlier because our flight was early in the morning. The man was quite rude, saying it was not possible without even letting us finish. Luckily the lady that was in the breakfast room was very helpful and understanding and let us take our breakfast 20min earlier

Fantastic design from the seventies! Stainless steel doors, natural wood interior, everything is built to last! You feel old quality standards when staying in this business hotel! Easy ride to the airport. Old school air conditioning system, you can open windows and it is still running gives you a cool feeling! Probably youngsters will not understand and appreciate it but if you are an architect over 40 this is your place!

Breakfast is served in a cafeteria nearby, for hungry Lithuanian is very limited: glass of orange juice, one cup of coffee, toast and scrambled 2 eggs.

Nice modern hotel, quiet, clean and spacious with helpful staff. Great value for money and was really accessible to the main bus station for onward travel (25 mins). Will stay again.

If you are going to be spending most of your time in Central Madrid, this is probably not the most ideal spot (40 mins to Sol). There is also not much immediately around, and the location is half way between the 2 metros (15 mins walk).

Very clean and well presented. The bathroom and shower were very good.

There was no tea and coffee in the room. The hotel provided an area on the first floor where you could make your own though.

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, good shower, good desk. Wifi and lift worked well. Good double glazing which efficiently blocks street noise. Good air conditioning. I'll stay there again.

Breakfast was basic, in the very noisy public bar next door. Staff there look like they despise visitors, serving you casually while chatting to locals. I asked for the fruit option and was told: "no fruit, too late", at 8:30am!

The stay was amazing, the staff are so helpful and kind and the room was nice and clean. We also enjoyed the location of the hotel, a bit far from Madrid center so we make roughly 20/30 min on a car ride to go everywhere in Madrid without any traffic jam around the hotel. A good value for the money :)

1. The parking is not included with the hotel stay, so you need to pay extra 10€ per day, which was not described as so when I first booked, as it shows in hotel description that the parking is included. But, there is plenty of free parking places just in front of the hotel, so we didn’t need to book the extra parking. 2. The breakfast is mid to be honest, could be way better.

Room and bathroom are great. Just what I need when travelling.

Breakfast is really not good. I took the room « with » breakfast to try the « menu ». It is very limited and not at all my expectation of a breakfast. Next time I take the room without breakfast and go somewhere to eat.
