I can't understand why this hotel only has 3 stars... Everything is perfect! 🤩 The room was a great size, with a huge and comfortable bed, spotlessly clean (rooms cleaned meticulously every day), a bathtub with a shower, and a hairdryer. The hotel's location is also perfect. The rooftop pool was spotless, and although tiny, there was always plenty of room to cool off. ☺️ The front desk staff was very helpful, and we got lots of advice on trips around the area and to Gibraltar. Thank you ♥️♥️♥️!!!! And the breakfast... Simply delicious 😋 There was plenty of everything and a wide variety... From the usual breakfast dishes like eggs, bacon, sausages, fresh bread, and local cold cuts, to a whole host of fresh fruit and pastries. The coffee was wonderful. 😍 The hotel's surroundings were the best! Still in the heart of the city, but a little off the beaten track to avoid the evening noise and crowds of tourists. Surrounded by tiny pubs serving tapas and traditional Spanish cuisine. I recommend it with all my heart!!! ♥️♥️♥️

This hotel is perfectly situated right in the heart of the old town. (and just 15 minutes in a taxi from the airport). The hotel staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful - all spoke perfect English (which was great as my Spanish is terrible!) and couldn’t be more polite if they tried from offering a special price for breakfast for my 6 year old, to giving directions around town, to booking us a taxi. The room was clean with a comfy double bed (no king size if you’re used to that though…) and blackout curtains for the morning. The room was cleaned daily including fresh fluffy towels and bedding changed. There’s a safe in the room and several plug sockets dotted around. The rooftop pool was perfect - small but there were never more than a few people in it and very clean. The decking had been newly laid but just a warning - the floor is ridiculously hot so don’t even think about trying to get from the pool to the sun deck with shoes on!! (I tried it… it wasn’t a good look…) Reviews had mentioned the noise at night. Or more, early hours of the morning. Yes it did happen. Was it loud? Yep. Did it seem like the balcony doors were open when they were in fact firmly closed? Also yes. But it was fine - at no point did it stop me or a 6 year old getting to - or staying - asleep and it wasn’t constant by any stretch. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!

Cosy hotel , everything clean and comfortable - good breakfast - location excellent, in walking distance to museums , cathedral and lots of restaurants. Great view from terrace and swimmingpool á great addition once ready after construction.

Disappointed that the swimming pool was under construction. We checked out on the day of the power cut and excperienced the caos that followed - your hotel was fully booked and we were stuck in Malaga without accommodation (3 elderly ladies) it was á trying time for everyone and your staff could have shown á bit more service attitude and empathy. p.s. We found á nice hotel in the end)

My wife is Gluten intollerant and the staff were very helpful in catering for her dietary needs. Francisco on reception was extremely helpful with all aspects of our booking from Greeting to also providing a kettle with tea/coffee making facilities, and giving us details of tourist information. We had a very pleasant stay at the Exe Malaga and would not hesitate to recommend. All our room preferences were catered for. Hotel was in a great location, very close to Cathedral and centre without being too noisy.

The breakfast was a bit lukewarm and the scrambled eggs were “okay”. Other than that everything else was fine and there was plenty of choice.

Lovely bright room with windows in the bedroom and bathroom.All staff very friendly and welcoming.Pool was great and solarium lovely.great views all around the building . Ideal location to access the restaurants and bars. Breakfast consisted of a great selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, juices, cakes, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon.8

I possibly would have sat out tor longer periods if there had been a parasol on the terrace as there is very little shade there.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, on arrival we were given a run down of what to do with our short stay and upon checkout the staff were so helpful about minding our bags. Perfect location-surrounded by lovely cafés, bars and only a short walk to all of the major sites in the area Loved the access to the sun terrace as well as the option of the pool Really comfortable, airy and clean room with a lovely bathroom and comfy beds.

Our room was a little noisy-we could hear people in other rooms and the ambience of the street late in the evening. Nothing of note unless you're a particularly light sleeper.

We have just stayed 5 nights in this hotel it is a fantastic location everything about the hotel was just perfect staff amazing breakfast good but location just makes this hotel .We got a free taxi from airport to Hotel via booking .com because we payed for our stay in full when we booked it well worth it .

The rooms to the front of the hotel can be a little loud at night time but it did not bother us as we wore ear plugs and they worked great .That would not put us off staying again .I will be letting all my friends in Ireland know about this hotel .

Great location if you are going there with friends as it is in downtown and there are many bars and clubs only a very short walk away from the hotel! The hotel itself is very nice. Always somebody at the front desk to help or to open the front door if you are back very late. The pool and the solarium were lovely to use.

If you had a bedroom close to the pool it was very noisy sometimes but we didn’t really mind it.

We stayed during the week before Christmas. We had a family room for 2 adults and our 2 kids. Double bed and double sofa bed. It was spacious and airy. The bathroom was excellent and had all amenities including hairdryer, shampoo and bodywash. Water and snacks on arrival. Mini bar and a beautiful balcony to watch the world go by. The staff were incredible - genuinely helpful and friendly. Supplied a decent iron and board for our arrival as I'd called a couple of days before . Location was brilliant, right in the shopping centre, but easy to walk to the port and beach areas too. We'd come back and we'd definitely recommend to others.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Location & breakfast were both excellent! Room was clean & comfortable. We had a lovely stay & the receptionist who booked us in & out was exceptionally welcoming & efficient!

We were so disappointed that there were no hot drink making facilities in the room or elsewhere in the hotel except with breakfast. Being tea & coffee drinkers we had to spend a lot of money during the four days, for drinks we would normally have made for ourselves in our room after a days sight seeing!
