Staff were Ace Bus stop into centre directly outside hotel.Hotel has timetable for bus times so can wait inside until bus almost there Taxi available at hotel Uber and Bolt available Facilities were good, inside and outside hotel Complimentary wine/chocolates for birthday, very kind. Bed linen changed daily. Lovely seaview room 607.
Only reason for 8 was the food was mediocre . Sweetcorn had obviously gone off. Would stay again But, Would not do dinner ever again.Breakfast ok.Terrible baked beans ,ok if you go fishing in the orange 'water' sauce, I suppose. Plenty of places in the centre to eat,Old town multiple choices. If you avoid the food especially dinner great place to stay, with beach in stepping distance. No local restaurants. Need a bus/car to get into town. Aldi supermarket not far.But 45 walk or easy bus ride. Otherwise hotel deserved a 9.5.

I liked most things, especially the Breakfast. The selection of foods was Amazing. I loved my Room, with a balcony able to see the Sunrising over the ocean, in the mornings. Also my Room was clean. I hope to come back again in the future.
I didn't like the shower and bath combination. It was usable, but awkward and messy.. A walk-in Shower would do the Job better. The location itself, with the Balcony view A+, but your about 30 mins from Malaga's Center, where all the Action is. No worries, right outside the hotel is a bus stop. No.5 will get you in and out of Malaga for E1.40 each way. I used my revolut card to pay.

We had an amazing stay at Sol Guadalmar Hotel! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern, spotless bathroom. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, and the location right by the sea offered stunning views from our spacious balcony. The restaurant served delicious food but there were no other restaurants around the hotel, making the experience even better. It’s very close to the airport as well. Highly recommended.
The squeaky beds, they make a noise. No restaurants around the place

Great hotel on the seaside, Location is unbeatable. Right o the beach, the view was a wonderful bonus. The area is very quiet and safe, you can stroll on the beach or on the promenade in front of the hotel. If you come by car, private parking is a bonus. You can also park on the street. The staff was great! Attentive, polite and welcoming. They really made our stay perfect. The best part of every stay is the staff. When they do their job with care, you will enjoy a perfect stay. Rooms were big and cleaned daily. Impecable service from the cleaning staff. The whole hotel was spotless, so the staff gets, again, a big thumbs up for the way they are maintainig the location. Breakfast and dinner had everything you could want. No fuss whatsoever about the food, quality or diversity. We were very happy with our stay and would definetely come back to Sol Guadalmar.
The sleeping quality could do with an improvement. The matresses are a somewhat hard, so not to everyone's taste. The aircons could also be upgraded, as ours was on the old and loud side. In another room, there was a newer one, so I think they are upgrading them little by little.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sol Guadalmar, and overall, it was a very good experience. The hotel offers a fantastic beachfront location, with direct access to a quiet, clean beach—ideal for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The views of the Mediterranean, especially at sunrise and sunset, are truly breathtaking. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout the stay. From reception to housekeeping and restaurant service, everyone made an effort to ensure comfort and satisfaction. Even though the hotel was busy, the team remained professional and friendly, which speaks volumes about their training and hospitality spirit. The rooms are spacious, clean, and many have sea views—a big plus. While the building itself is older (originally built in 1972), it has been modernized over the years. Some parts still reflect its age, but the cleanliness and maintenance are clearly a priority, and the decor updates give the rooms a pleasant, refreshed feel. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a large variety of hot and cold items, fresh fruit, pastries, and good coffee. The outdoor pool and garden area are also well-kept and a great place to relax. There’s even an indoor pool and a small gym, adding value for guests who want to stay active. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is not in the city center—you’ll need about 20 minutes by car to get to downtown Málaga. On the other hand, it's just a short drive from the airport (around 10 minutes), and a large outlet shopping mall is only 5 minutes away—perfect for quick shopping trips. In summary, Hotel Sol Guadalmar is a great option for those looking to relax by the sea, close to nature but still well connected to the city and airport. With friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and beautiful surroundings, I would gladly return and recommend it to others.

The hotel was great , comfy room & the choice of food was outstanding. Gym could have been a little more equipped & A/C on . The staff were brilliant at all times , as we checked in very late/early & they were great. Lovely beach fronted property & paddling boarding available. We loved it only thing is it a taxi /bus to main part of town. But is walking distance to the outlet mall with loads of shops for teenagers. Discounts but sales can be cheaper on the normal stores
Sometimes gym didn’t have AC on but they really worked on getting stuff done So really no I think they were a great team

The hotel is nice with a beautiful view of the sea, mountains, and city, no other building stands in front. The hotel is located in a more private/isolated area with almost no other tourists and visitors, so it is quiet and relaxing. Rooms were cleaned every day, breakfast was fine, the swimming pool and aqua dance were enjoyable, staff was welcoming and positive. There were regular activities for guests and children.
The hotel is located far from everything, so you need to take a 30-minute bus (leaving every 30 min) or taxi (12-17 euros one way) to the city even for dinner or hanging out. There are just two restaurants to eat at outside the hotel and one supermarket to shop for necessary items; otherwise, there is no ice cream kiosk, and nothing happens in the area. It can be fine for some, but it requires extra time and costs to go somewhere. Unfortunately, the hotel provides no sunbeds although they are shown in the Booking pictures. Most rooms have two queen-size beds, but not one king-size bed.

The hotel was located by the beach. View of the beach from the balcony. Very comfortable beds. There was a toothbrush and toothpaste especially for our child and also a drawingbook and colouringpen. Breakfast was good. Nice pool area. There was a busstop very close to get to Malaga city centre and also an open air mall nearby.
We looked forward to use the pool. When we booked the hotel we read in the information that the indoor heated pool would be open and that the outdoor pool opens in end of April. But when we arrived, the indoor pool was closed for the season and the outdoor pool open. The pool water was ice cold and it was literally impossible to enjoy. The bathroom was very outdated.

Only 10 minutes from Malaga airport. Breakfast was great lots of options. Quiet rooms great views. Booked 2 doubles with bunk beds for family of 5, bunks are full size, beds comfortable. Large bathroom with bath. Beach restaurants close-by that serve late, we arrived at 10pm and had late dinner 5 minutes walk east from hotel.
Only 2 things I did not like, more so considering how much this hotel charges per night. Balcony doors not clean (frames pretty gross on balcony side), balcony floor and rails needed a clean. They have a no reserve rule on sun beds but this still happens. Half beds had towels on with no one in sight by 8am, only a handful of beds occupied by 10.
