Staff is the best, super child friendly and always smiling! The pool area is the best thing for kids fun, toddlers were having the best time of their life’s.

The indoor play area that is shown on the pictures doesn’t exist. We have a 15 months old and the sun was striking, so we booked pretty much thinking about that space. However, the playground area is really fun for kids, so we stayed outside when possible. Bring your own towel and get a sun chair early in the AM.

The staff were amazing all around, reception were always helpful and friendly. Cleaning staff were always helpful and friendly. All the staff at dinner and breakfast were always helpful and friendly! The location of the hotel was great, only a 10-20 minute walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. Rooms were cleaned daily and to a good standard. The pool was a really nice size with the different sections for all different types of guest. There were plenty of deck chairs available always. Breakfast and dinner were great with fresh food and plenty of choice and variety each day.

Had to pay to use the safe in the room with a deposit and daily charge, never had to do that before. The pool was just a bit too cold. It was quite hot outside so the water would feel colder than it is, but even still it wasn't an enjoyable experience trying to get in and my feet felt numb. Once you were in for a good while it was ok just because you got used to it. With half board, we couldn't use the drink machines at dinner even though we were allowed at breakfast, which I just found odd. The beds weren't very comfortable and kept sliding about when you moved. I know some hotels like to push two single beds together to make a double, but they should at least be connected I feel.

Excellent value for half board. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff were very friendly and the facilities were fantastic. The hotel was very welcoming to the many cyclists and other guests. The buffet breakfast and evening meals were perfect with a wide variety of all kinds of foods.

The bar stock was a little disappointing. The amaretto wasn't Di Saronno and was disappointing. The Cointreau was an orange licquer and not Cointreau and the only cider was Magners which is by no means the best. It would be great to have a properly stocked bar because otherwise it was great.

The rooms, hotel and pool area were kept extremely clean we stayed for a week and our room was cleaned every day. The staff especially in the restaurant were so lovely and really took to our 8 month old always giving her attention when we were welcomed and whilst she was sat at the table which she loved! The location is at the end of pine walk we did this walk every day down to the marina which was lovely especially as the weather wasn’t on our side for the week so we didn’t have as many pool days. The entertainment staff were also very good with the older kids as our daughter is still very young we didn’t get to see the evening entertainment but my husband and I would make runs to bar and from what we could see everyone was having a great time.

Very loud at night…… although not necessarily the hotels fault and it could have just been the block we were in but from around 9pm-12am I’m assuming where people were coming back from their evenings out we could hear everything from doors slamming to the wardrobe doors opening and closing not ideal with a sleeping baby. The buffet although they would do themed nights every night could have had a bit more selection after 3 meals a day 7 nights a week it got a bit samey.

Staff were delightful and helpful. Always smiling. The food was excellent and varied. Secure cycle store was fine. Ideal location for a cycling holiday/training camp.

The property is very poorly sound proofed. You will hear everything from neighbouring rooms. Children singing/crying. Guests leaving for early flights. You will hear them all. Toilet and shower are only separated from living space by a glass door so you again hear everything.

Food and customer service excellent. Quiet place, no extra voices at nights, but every evening some nice entertainment and it ended at 23:00. Very nice hotel for families.

People like to book sunbeds early in the morning at 7:00 o'clock. Showers were missing from pool and only one pool an quite lot of people.

some of the chefs can be very rude two in particular on the omelette/egg station during our stay . one flatly refused to make fried eggs at 7.55am when we were in a real rush to leave for the airport pointing out instead that service didn’t commence until 8.00am - I mean come on??? another pretended not to understand my Spanish when I requested jamon y queso in my omelette even though I speak quite good Spanish - made me repeat it twice and then said “oh you mean ham and cheese” in English ! all other staff were really nice .

This is our second stay with Mar Hotels Playa Mar & Spa. We love it so much. First visit with our 9 month old son, second visit he is now 18 months old. Food, drinks, pools, sunbeds, lobby, bedrooms, are all just great. The shop inside the hotel is brilliant for quick amenities to buy. The food choices for Kids is just brilliant. Cannot fault the food and drink offering. Hotel bedroom is large, spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Microwave and Fridge in the room are such a bonus!

We really love the hotel, I cannot fault it in any way.

Location at the top end of the pine walk was lovely. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfy. Good shower and soft towels. Food good but a little repetitive. Overall well kept grounds, play area and reception staff super helpful. Wi-fi very good

Pool was freezing (it's unheated and after a cold Spring almost unusable) Corridors very echoey which was a bit of a problem at night as our child was disturbed by late/early arrivals and departures.

Friendly staff. Flexible for cyclists (no problem to put the bike in the room). Good food. Beds in the rooms are nice and long (very happy with that since i am quite tall). Nice garden connected to the room on the ground floor. Swimming pool looks nice, as the garden by the swinming pool does. Did not test it. All in all good quality voor reasonable price.

Walls between rooms are very thin. It did not really bother us because there wasn't a lot of noise. But if someone talks in the other room you can hear what they are saying. Breakfast/dinner space is quite big and noisy if it is full. However, buffet is never too crowded and everything was continiously available. No empty plates. Good work.
