Great staff, very helpful. The facility and location was excellent. The room/ apartment very large!

First on warm days, that little AC unit in the large living area can no way cool the bedroom. The staff was kind enough to let us a fan for the bedroom which helped second and no fault of the Portmar Apartments, this is a family/children facility. Just too many small infant type children in the pool for our liking. Babies in diapers, for our liking does not go well in swimming pools. Great for families, but for our taste as a couple not so great.

Stayed for 4 nights, everything ok until Friday, the bar below was full of local young people, the noise was very loud until around 01:00, that would put me off staying again

Beautiful location and perfect position between the beach and good restaurants. Food quality is good and gym and spa facilities were also great. We had some issues with our room (ants, and sewage smell) but the staff took care of it immediately and with care - great service.

These apartments seem to be perfect for families with babies, during our stay, almost all guests were young families with new babies/young toddlers. The down side being - there was almost constant crying baby noise (and fighting cats at night), so if you are not up for that, this might not be a good place for you. Also the AC is in the main living area of the apartments, that could mean the bedrooms get hot in the summer.

The hotel is only a short walk from the main town and restaurant area. It doesn't have parking but It was fairly easy to park on the streets nearby, although that might not be true at the height of tourist season. The hotel was very well presented, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The pool area and sun deck are nice, and they have a lot of sun loungers compared to other places we've stayed at. Breakfast wasn't the cheapest, but they put on a very good selection. As well as a buffet from which to choose meats and cheeses, fruits, bread, and pastries, you could also order a cooked breakfast. We found it a good way to fill up and start the day!

Only a couple of very minor things, which didn't impact our stay at all. The hotel has a nice sun deck on the edge of a small cliff. It's quite picturesque and 'Instagrammable'. There are some stairs leading down so you can get into the sea, but the metal ladder they've put in place has been partially eroded and wasn't very safe at the time we visited. Hopefully, they'll replace it soon. Other than that, the jacuzzi in the spa was cold and not hot water which was a bit disappointing, but the saunas and steam room were great!

The apartments are great. A good size space, clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The pool area is clean, spacious and well maintained. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was very good, but there were limited options for food allergies. There was gluten free bread, I would suggest more gluten free cereal/granola options, sweet things and some dairy free yogurt.

The only thing I would suggest is to install a washing machine instead of a dishwasher in the apartments.

Everything was great! Perfect stay for our family - not too host around the pool, and we were able to always get a space/bed around the pool. Apartment was lovely with a nice view of the pool/sea. Staff were very nice and accommodating during our stay! Unfortunately our flight home was cancelled by BA and the hotel stay were amazing and were able to easily provide another nights stay. Thank you again

We did have to change room for our additional nights stay. The room overall was lovely, and spacious! However there was a strong drain smell which wasn’t so pleasant - but we put up with it as it was only for one night!

The breakfast was quite average and not worth the price I would say, also you'd miss lots of experiences of the coffee shops that the island has to offer. The room was clean, the wifi was good, we had no issues checking in and also we could easily find available free parking in about a walking distance of 4-5 minutes from the hotel.

The bathroom's furniture could be revamped as it felt quite from another picture comparing to the rest of our apartment. The breakfast was boring and somewhat not worth it for 15 eur per person. Sure, you'd be full as it's a buffet, but you could have for the same price a proper coffee and breakfast. Other than that, no complaints.

The pool and sea view were amazing. The place is very private, and I loved that we could access the sea through the rocks.

There is a lack of vegan options (so we used the kitchen for all meals), noise until 2 am from the bars downstairs, and no air conditioning or fan in the bedroom. I have read it from reviews, so I was expecting and prepared for it, but the noise was absurdly loud on 3 nights. They must do something about it as the glass doors didn't block the sound. If I stay again, I would go for a front sea flat as I believe it wouldn't be too noisy at night.

It was clean , well decorated and apartment had all that was needed.

One thing was guests sliding their chairs in the apartments is really noisy with chairs that have wooden legs on the floor tiles. So when going to sleep you can hear neighbours above scratching floors with chairs.I’d suggest is the chairs in apartments to have little bit of fabric under each leg . Like a material small stickers that can be bought online. This would be so much quieter. Even when I was sliding my chair when eating early morning I was worried about the guests in the room underneath me.

Staff were incredible and so attentive to our needs. The reception staff helped plan a surprise, which was really appreciated. We had 2 massages each whilst we were there (one wasn't enough!) Mark the masseur was absolutely incredible. The spa was an added bonus on the rainy days we had. We had the breakfast a few times and thought it was delicious, although out of our budget to have every day. We found the overall vibe of the hotel, from the interior design to the location, unbelievably relaxing. I haven't had such a quiet brain in years! The kitchenette had everything needed to whip up a simple meal, and the apartment itself was absolutely spotless. We dined in the D bar a couple of times, and we were very impressed with the food and drink selection. Pool area was very relaxing, we particularly loved the double sun loungers by the sea.

Some rooms face the road. It is a quiet road however we were disturbed by music overnight. When we explained that we were bothered by the noise, the staff made sure to rectify this and we were moved to a room facing the pool.
