This is my second visit of this town and this hotel. They both have for me a specific charm although they are not positioned in the touristy southern area of the island. I have enjoyed my staying here so much I have even prolonged it. Hotel rooms are well equipped, bright and spacious and nicely decorated. They offer splendid breakfast with many varieties, even gluten free. There is parking available either on the street in front of the hotel or in their garage. Hotel staff is very kind, genuine, friendly and helpful. I must especially mention two people: Jose, he has pristine and positive energy which is contiguous. He is also a great connoisseur of huge varieties of drinks. It is a delight to be in his company. And I also need to mention one of the owners señor Isaac. He is very kind, warm, caring, full of historical knowledge, passion and ideas how to improve their town. He is a true visionary. It was indeed a huge pleasure meeting him. I felt very welcome and have truly enjoyed my staying in the hotel. Will miss this town and its lovely open hearted people. Highly recommend, would definitely visit them again.

The staff was amazing, nice and helpful, every one of them, which was an awesome surprise after having a bad experience in a different location where we spent the previous nights. The breakfast has literally everything you can think of, great selection of cheese and magnificent fruits! Also there's a garden with sunbeds, nice place to spend some time after breakfast. Easy to park on the "private" street (only entry for hotel guests) City center and restaurants are 5 minutes walking, we got great tips from the receptionist on arrival.

The cleanliness at breakfast (plates, glasses, silverware) was a little below average and unfortunately I only raised the issue on the last day, but the nice owner lady was open to suggestions and promised to make it perfect for the future. It's nice to see someone take responsibility. I'm sure if I had told her before, she would have solved the issues even during our stay. The only bad part of the breakfast was coffee, it felt like it was instant coffee but maybe I just have Italian taste. The bathroom needed little renovation works, but nothing serious. Regardless of the imperfections, still an awesome experience!

Very friendly family run hotel, perfect for relaxing, with genuinely helpful and happy staff, and run to a good standard. It is on the outskirts of a small quiet working town from where you can hear the clock strike from the church of San Nicolas, and the view of mountains from the roof garden is lovely, alongside which you can see the solar panels which power the place. The breakfast was exceptional with a huge tasty buffet including fresh juices, fruit salad, omelettes, home made bread, cheeses, salad and patisseries, also with my preference of oat milk. The swimming pool, although cold, was a refreshing good tonic after soaking up the heat on the sun beds. I didn't have a car but was able to catch a bus to the local beach, and take a few trips up the coast to, or towards, the town Agaete famous for its sea pools, and I even got back to the airport with just two buses. Overall I felt comfortable, safe and happy for rest and recuperation, soaking up the rays and swimming, after breaking my wrist.

The jacuzzi jets didn't always work, but I think they were getting this fixed. There was very little birdlife around these parts, but I think that is true for much of the Canary Islands, so I was delighted to spot a scream of swifts wheeling about for a short time just before sunset. Without a car you do have to make an effort to get to the sea or anywhere else, but the local bus service (timetables online or use Google Maps) was cheap and available, and just a short walk down from the hotel.

What an absolute find! This hotel is perfect for a few days for getting away from it all. Everything is so comfortable and everyone is so friendly.

Just two small niggles. The lighting in the lounge area of the suite was very dark. I did change one of the lightbulbs with a brighter one from the bedroom but it was still a bit on the dark side. The lack of sockets in the lounge area is incredible. I did eventually find one hidden away behind the sofa when I moved it away from the wall, but an extension lead with a few more options might be an idea.

This is a great place. It is not cheap but absolutely worthy the money. Big room (and our room had also additional entry sitting room) – we worried a bit that the room was next to lift but there was no problem (totally quite). Staff is great - very friendly and helpful. Facilities are great – pool, jacuzzi, billiard (pity we could not make use as we came late and stayed only 1 night). Breakfast was an unbelievable feast – huge choice, many cooked dishes, jamon and many local meats and cheeses, a lot of pastries/cakes – all delicious. Will definitely come again.

It was super clean, beautifully decorated and fresh. The terrace was nice and sunny with some shade and with a pool which is not heated (only by the sun) and a jacuzzi that is. The staff both in the dining room and in reception couldn’t be more helpful. I’m a vegan which is a challenge on Gran Canaria and they were so helpful in helping find things to eat and had many vegan options for breakfast and a some bar snacks like a tasty vegan burger. The village itself is very pretty and people warm and friendly too and very welcoming and helpful too. Not many tourists at all, the perfect place if you want to get away from the crowds . There is even a beach in the coast village , small but perfectly adequate with many good restaurants and bars, with mostly locals. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I liked my room as it was really spacious and had nice views. Balconies had furniture. The breakfast offered was superb - variety of choices was amazing and I particularly liked all this fresh fruit offered every day. Cheese lovers won't be disappointed! Pool area was clean and well maintained. All in all - the descriptions and photos matched the reality and it was worth the money spent. Thank you for all!

Lovely welcome from the staff. We got in our room early as it was ready. We played table tennis around the pool area which was fun. Got great recommendations for drinks and food in the local area. The room was spacious, clean and comfy. Breakfast was extensive.. the continental breakfast superb. We also accidentally left something at the hotel and the staff were amazing in getting it returned. Can’t give enough thanks.

The ‘hot’ breakfast was cold unfortunately.

Room was very spacious, clean with a balcony offering the view overlooking the pool. Staff were very friendly and warm. Hotel is offering great breakfast, in my case was included in the overnight price. They have a garage and also outside parking which is essential if renting a car. Hotel is situated in a quiet town and quiet street. Entirely up my alley.

This hotel is a gem. We loved it. The family running the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. The staff were super efficient. The evening barman/cook was brilliant at his job - nothing was too much trouble for him. A great place to stay.

There is no need to use the hotel's underground car park - plenty of on-street parking available.
