Very convenient location near the train and bus stations and a short walk to the water. There's a supermarket right on the corner, too. Very nice people at reception. Easy check in. Very clean room. Good toiletries in the bathroom. Quiet. A nice bar for a morning coffee and a restaurant that has a menu del dia every day.

There was no desk or table in my room, which made it difficult to use my laptop and have a light meal in my room. The walls seem to be made of plastic (?), though that could be some sort of soundproofing. A rather dreary "view". But other than these minor things, it was a nice place.

Location is excellent. 5 minutes walk from the bus station. A good selection of coffee shops and restaurants close by. There is a good little restaurant in the building with very nice staff. I liked the “Spanish Cafe” close to the bus station for a good breakfast. One excellent restaurant with very nice food was Neptune. Excellent sea food among other things. It’s a few minutes walk. Bedoya hotel is an excellent place to stay. Everything was spotless and all the staff were super nice and professional. The check in process is very simple and the staff all spoke good English. Highly recommend.

Hotel Bedoya is a very good choice for a stay in Santander. I wish all the places I stay at were as good.

I recently stayed at Hotel Bedoya in Santander and had an overall positive experience. The highlight of the hotel was the spacious, clean rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless, with complementary toiletries provided. The room felt fresh and well-maintained. The location was decent, about a 15-minute walk from the city center and 45 minutes on foot to the nearest beach. It was convenient enough to explore Santander's sights, shops, and restaurants, though not right in the heart of the action. Considering the reasonable price I paid, I was satisfied with Hotel Bedoya. The room sizes, cleanliness, and amenities made up for the lack of natural light and language issues. It's a good option for travelers looking for an affordable, well-kept hotel in Santander, as long as you don't expect 5-star luxuries or English-fluent staff.

One downside was that there wasn't much natural light in my room due to its location, but the lighting fixtures provided sufficient illumination. Additionally, most of the staff did not speak English, which made communication difficult at times. I was able to get by with my limited Spanish, but English speakers should be aware of the language barrier.

The check-in procedure was very nicely completed with a front office person. She was very nice to interact with. I really enjoyed the hotel and the room. The location was really nice as well. The hotel is very convenient for the bus and train stations, and there was a neighborhood market very close by. From outside the front entrance you are just a few minutes walk to some of the great features of Santander.

I'd also like to mention that I had a very nice interaction with the hotel housekeeping staff. My requests were noted and it was just one more thing that made my stay here great.

Very central location near the bus and train station which was ideal as we had an early flight to catch. Also convenient for a supermarket and bars which were scruffy but cheap. Was able to check in an hour early.

Room was a bit dated and quite small. No fan or a/c - luckily it wasn't too hot but we had to sleep with the window open and the seagulls started kicking off about 3am. Rubbish view into the central courtyard.

Walked into an apartment block instead of the Bedoya

Me and my partner picked this hotel simply because it was the cheapest available whilst still being a sensible proximity from the town/beach etc. The hotel is split into two separate buildings opposite each other on a side street, we checked in at one and stayed in the other. With it not being known for its tourism staff seemed to speak little English, however were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. We weren't expecting much from a budget hotel but our room was clean and tidy which was all we were hoping for. Room was small in size, using it as a base whilst we explored on our short stay it didn't bother us. Bathroom facilities were great and there was a small tv in the corner of the room. The bed surprisingly was extremely comfortable but there was no air-con. Despite not speaking English they were able to ask for a passport and that's all they needed from us, they were showing us how to use the key card in spanish but we were able to get the jist of what he was saying. All things considered, we would be happy to return here if looking for a cheap, no-thrills hotel. Manners, cleanliness, ease of access and a comfortable bed cost little to nothing to provide and this hotel did just that. Cleaners came and changed the bed/towels in the first day too. No complaints from us!

Nothing worth complaining about due to the price of the hotel and what we were expecting. No air-con was a little bit of a let down but we opened our window and it did a suitable job as the weather wasn't scorching hot.

Good breakfast (toasts, pastries, cheese, ham, jam etc). Helpful staff and good bike storage. Good restaurant attached. Comfortable room and beds. Would stay again.
