THe staff was terrific: very gracious and welcoming. I stayed 5 nights and they always provided excellent recommendations and practical tips on sights to see in Santander and nearby. It was fun meeting other travelers in the spotlessly clean shared kitchen and we all loved the famous coffee machine. (It makes hot chocolate, too.) The location was great on a pedestrian-only street a short 10 minute walk from the train station and the waterfront.

Lovely hostel!! My flight into Santander was delayed and the woman who runs the hostel kindly waited longer for me to check in. The facilities were great and were kept very clean and tidy.

This is a small hostel located in the city but most importantly away from the actual noise and non stop Spanish evenings and entertainment but still very close walking distance to them. It is also close to many restaurants and shops. The place is clean and some rooms are like a hotel room with ensuite. The place was quiet, rooms small but clean. The common areas have a kitchen and there is free coffee dispensing machine which gives a great coffee! The owner is really nice and welcoming. I recommend!

Great central location. Great facilities, all fresh and clean. The owners are really nice and helpful. Super comfortable. Well equipped. Loved it. It was recommended to me and I can see why.

Key holder was lovely. Free coffee. Locker keys provided, no need for a padlock. Towels to rent. Clean. Excellent, and enough shower and toilet facilities. Well equipped kitchen. Near the rock music bar Choice of Air con or natural air from the huge floor to ceiling window. Easy access to electrical sockets for each top bunk. Dormitory bed mattress was too soft for me. (The double room mattress however was lovely and firm).

I really liked everything about this hostel. I booked a private room and it was the most comfortable room I’ve stayed in at this price point. It is very well located, only a few minutes walk from the bus station. Check-in was smooth and Beatriz was amazing. She gave me some great information of what to see and do in the city. The hostel is renovated and everything looks brand new and is super clean. The kitchen and dining area are both comfortable and there is free coffee and tea. If I return to Santander I’ll definitely stay at Alojiamentos Cantiber. A big thank you to the staff who were all super kind!

Everything was perfect!

i had a wonderful stay here. Beatrix was so kind and helped me with my Spanish. Everything was perfectly clean! Big lockers. Plenty of hooks to hang towels and clothes. The kitchen was very well equipped. I found the beds really comfortable. Felt safe as a solo female traveler. I walked everywhere, Santander is very walkable and the hostel’s location was pretty central. 10 min walk from bus stop (I got the bus from airport).

The beds were quite wobbly. It wasn’t the most social hostel I have found (lots of tired walkers from the camino), however if you wanted to speak to people you could, and if you wanted alone time that was also very easy. Good balance.

Very clean, great facilities, new, full kitchen with kettle and everything else, coffee machine (free for the guests) that makes very nice coffee.

The lack of a hand towel or paper towels in the toilets was a little stingy. I get it, we have to rent towels if we don't bring ours but having to take my towel to the sink every time I wash my hands... well, I forgot every time because it isn't something I do on a regular basis! Paper towels at least would be appropriate.

Absolutely loved this hostel and would definitely return. Stayed in a family room with private bathroom and everything was clean and comfortable. Loved the balcony, great to have air-conditioning, the coffee machine and kitchen were a lovely extra. Access was easy, building and location were convenient and safe, we were greeted and shown round kindly and I cannot fault anything - 11/10 stars
