A terrific little hotel. Spotless, everything functional, a really solid 3 star - I only had a Budget Room. A good simple, breakfast - I would normally not bother, but previous reviews recommended. It was worth it, not down to anything fancy, just everything there to get you going. All staff are super friendly, and seemingly plugged into the overall management of the place. House keeping, breakfast, and front desk are all exceptional. Reserved parking was excellent - I arrived early and was given a spot, checked in at the correct time later. , Location was great for Santander I booked early, and the price was excellent

I would have liked a minifridge. It was not listed as being provided, so not a complaint.

A really warm welcome from both staff and we were happy to be able to prebook free private off road parking for our car and bikes. The room offered great views across the city to the sea. The location was quite high up in the heart of the city but getting around was fairly easy when you got the hang of using a street lift and very interesting street escalators to help ascend the steep hills from the sea front. Lots of choice of restaurants nearby. The bed was super comfortable and the buffet breakfast offer was generous. If you are travelling on the ferry to Santander the next day it’s a great choice. About 5 minutes from the ferry port.

There was a fridge but it wasn’t working properly and It would have been nice to have a kettle, tea, coffee and milk instead of a coffee machine.. not everyone drinks coffee……

The staff were wonderful. The room had a great view and there are large balconies with statues looking out to sea. It's a crowded area vehicle wise but staff always found me somewhere to park. The shower was hot and large.

A room fridge would have been great and although there was a coffee pod machine a kettle would have been nice. Coat hooks near the room door would also be welcome. The bed was a little hard for me to be fully comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, very chic. Great views from our room. Very helpful friendly staff and good parking. Breakfast was wonderful with everything you could wish for. The hotel is up a steep hill but the receptionist explained there was a lift and escalators to the main part of town which worked brilliantly. Great location only minutes walk to the harbour with bars cafes and restaurants. Goid for shopping too. Would highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

No fridge in room, not a huge problem but always nice to have for my medicine and cold drinks.

The hotel location is perfect, as very close to the center, where are Center Botin, the restaurants, the shops (all this between 4-10' walk). It also good place for people with car, as has a parking free of charge, and the exit from the city is easy. The staff is great! All of them are very helpful. When I arrived it was a man who was at the reception. He gave me all details and advises on when, how, where to go and visit. He was great! I decided to stay more, so had the chance to have two different rooms. The one on the 1st floor, as it rained a bit more during my stay, it needed always I to open the window, as it smelled a bit of humidity. The one on the 3rd floor was great with amazing views to the town and the see, especially when there is a sun. So, I'll definitely come back! Thank you!

Nothing. Just I need much harder bed. So, the bed is very comfortable, but is not extremely hard. Important for people who look for different softness. It is perfect for normal requirements.

Even if we hadn't been fortunate enough to receive an upgraded room, this would still have been a really wonderful hotel experience. We picked it almost at random and I'm so glad we chose to stay here.. Stylish, clean, super comfortable, brilliant location, walking distance to everything you need including the wonderful Modern Art Gallery and most importantly, exceptional staff. (including the hotel cat!) It's so lovely to have a real person greeting you and do the check in especially when they are as welcoming and friendly as this. After check in, we were given a choice of secure places to park AND personally shown how to access the underground option. Since our car was full of luggage after a 3 month trip round Spain, this was a very welcome ( and free!) aspect of Hotel Art This is a very stylish reletively small, well run, friendly, quiet, brilliant hotel. Highly recommended and worth going to Santander just for this !

only that the handle of the door to the balcony was a slightly lose and awkward and the coffee machine a bit leaky, otherwise everything was great.

Was a little surprised where I was. I only ever saw the place in the dark really as it was dark when I arrived and only getting light when I left. I couldn't seem to master the opening of my door to the terrace, so never got out on to it. Probably down to my own ineptitude and tiredness. If I was there longer than one night I would have asked. Staff were lovely so I am sure they would have dealt with it straight away.

We've got upgraded for free and the room was exceptional. Very clean, a very comfy bed, enough space in the room, and a big cozy bathroom with a great shower. We had a bit sea-view terrace, with thick curtains. The staff is great, very friendly and very kind, we had an amazing stay thanks to them! Also, they have outside and inside parking, both right at the entrance.

Nothing, the value for the money is amazing. Couldn't wish for a better stay in Santander.

The reception staff on arrival and departure were outstanding in helpfulness and personality. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, the member of staff was very attentive in replacing eaten food. The size of room was good. I would have liked to see a kettle in the room for people who don’t drink coffee.

There was an overpowering smell of air freshener. I thought it was there to possibly mask the smell of a previous customer who had smoked in the room. I have stayed on a previous occasion when there was no such smell. I kept the balcony doors open as long as possible to rid the room of the smell. I didn’t report it at the time.

Employees were great and friendly, the check in was fast and easy, the breakfast was so nice with several options. Room was clean and the bed super comfortable. Location is great, close to the center and has a lot of mechanical stairs so its easy to elevate the street :)

One small detail that we noticed is the ventilation of the room. We were using the a/c but it was not cooling up the room fast or generally we would like a bit more fresh air, cause it was too hot to open the window, but this is just a personal notice.
