Fantastic location, easy to access, near the ferry port and surrounded by bars and restaurants

Parking was an issue. I had to park in a nearby underground carpark that added another €16 to my costs and it wasn't easy to easy to access from the hotel by car, although only a short distance away. I was also horrified to be charged €30 extra for my small dog, especially when the room only cost €60. Most hotels charge €10 or so for a dog

They are ‘dog friendly’ but €30 charge quite steep. As a suggestion dog friendly hotels could be more helpful by providing details of dog friendly restaurants nearby where dogs are allowed inside.

Fantastic location. Currently undergoing a big upgrade so there were little problems such as missing bulbs, toilets not flushing, painting not finished, but the staff dealt positively with these. It will be lovely when finished. Breakfast was nice & good value. No bar, which is usually a good place for groups to meet before going out, but not a big deal. Would stay there again for proximity to ferry, bus station, cathedral,l area, restaurants, mercado & shopping. 18euro in taxi from Santander airport. 16.50 to get luxury bus back to Bilbao.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location for the ferry. Right across rhe street from the terminal. Limited hotel parking outside the door, but plenty of parking around the hotel on the street and underground car parks. Electric hook up across the street for Electric car Soundproof rooms with a large comfortable bed. Perfectly clean. Rooms have a kettle, but no milk Beautiful breakfast. Plenty of choice. There is no bar, but plenty straight outside the door. Receptionist spoke perfect english

Stay was not long enough

Hotel next to bus station, with service shuttle bus from airport only 4 Euros. Good sized rooms, very clean and presentable. Nice to see little extras in bathroom, toiletries provided such as an emergency toothbrush. Happily kept our bags before check in time and also on day we left. Great location, close to main shopping and on edge of what would be described as historic part of town. Received great recommendation for a Steak restaurant, cheery helpful staff.

Breakfast choices were limited, with no variation over the 3 mornings we were there over a weekend. Food was fresh and plentiful for what was available and would never say, I was left hungry. The option to pay €25 to check in early, when room was ready disappointed me.

Excellent city centre location with easy walking to most of Santander’s visitor attractions and a huge selection of cafes and bars offering all types of food. Similarly well located for bus to/from airport with bus station only 5 mins walk. Staff are very welcoming and very helpful.

Booked the ABBA because I have had enjoyable stays in other ABBA hotels this one is possibly more functional with less facilities and in need of some TLC; room carpet had seen better days and bath seal needed renewing, WiFi not the fastest. All fixable and did not detract from an overall comfortable stay.

We love everything about this Hotel. Its our 6th stay in 3 years. The location is ideal for the Ferry, Railway Station, Cathedral, Waterfront, Culture, Car Rental, Supermaket, Bike trail, Camino route and shopping. Whilst it's central its also quiet and its a small hotel. The staff are amazing and go out of thier way to accomodate the guests. Breakfast is really good, always fresh and such a good choice. It was also so much better than a couple of Paradors we stayed in on this trip. The rooms are very well appointed and spotlessly clean. We would not want to stay anywhere else in Santander.

Loved friendly welcome, left bags to come back and check in and paid ahead to leave early for train. Room very well set out and clean, recycled/cyclable accessories. coffee making etc and super towels and toiletries.

Aircon not very effective But cosy on a colder day Not happy about extra cost for Wifi in room If panshower on full it may nearly flood as soapy suds built up..lower settings are fine tho, just be careful.

Very good location, handy for the train station, bus station and the ferry port. Nice room with a view of the sea. Nice bathroom. Very good buffet breakfast to suit all nationalities. Friendly staff who helped us out when our ferry back to the UK was cancelled.

A little more attention required to the cleaning, especially the window frames. Some maintenance work looked do have been done a bit slap dash with untidy silicon sealer all over the bath and shower screen

This hotel was perfectly placed for the ferry to return to England, just across the road. Very good location too, as right by the sea front. Nice parks around to take our dog for a walk. The public parking was excellent, as just a 5 mintues walk from the hotel and easy to access. The extra payment of Euros30 for having our dog with us is a bit expensive, as we usually pay Euros10-15 with other hotels. Breakfast was excellent! We have booked this hotel again in October when we are back in Spain.
