Staff was very kind and welcoming, and the albergue was very cute and had personality while still having the modern amenities such as bed outlets and lights.

The dryer was unfortunately not working which was initially why I booked this property but they’re in the process of getting a new one and there’s a laundry Matt just down the street (which they told me about)

I was exhausted when I arrived here and didn't have a reservation so I was delighted to be received by the friendly man on reception who made me feel very welcome. Clean hot showers and relaxing music playing in the background were other positives.

The terrace area could do with modernising.

I liked everything about my stay at the Albergue. The couple who run it, were extremely nice and accommodating. The Albergue was clean and neat. It was close to a lot of shops and restaurants. .

No place to hand wash your clothes.

Comfortable beds, good facilities, clean kitchen. The albergue is small but so cute & it had everything I needed. I’d stay here again! Also great wi-fi connection

When I used the laundry/dryer machine, the soap pod never broke open so my clothes were just dirty & wet. Then, the dryer machine didn’t dry my clothes properly so I had to hang everything up to dry overnight

Clean and comfy. They provide bed sheet, pillow cover and blanket. Convenient location, you can get the credential at the church next to it.

I didn’t think I should have to pay extra for blankets. My friend was told the albergue was fully booked, but there was only 4 people staying out of 16.

The couple who own Albergue Mayor were exceptional and went out of their way to make my stay so enjoyable

Lovely little hostel, I was surprised to find that it cost 2 euro to borrow a blanket, I hadn’t noticed that on the booking details. It was a very cold night and radiators were barely warm when they did come on

Clean, friendly host, laundry available, close to church, close to supermarket, close to city center

Many guests start their pilgrimage from Sarria for the first time, so it remains busy even after bedtime. Perhaps further attention is needed
