I can always tell how good my stay will be when interacting with the staff. In this case the staff was one individual who managed reception, waited in restaurant, cooked in restaurant. He was friendly, courteous, professional; I enjoyed talking to him. Hotel was a perfect little place to stay on the Camino. Hotel was nice, room was simple and clean, bathroom facilities were clean, fully stocked. Delicious hake dinner. Well located on a sleeoy, peaceful, small town on Camino. Well done Hotel Ambasmestas.

Reception may not be available in early afternoon. Instructions are provided via text, WhatsApp on how to open main door and access your room if reception is away. This is not a negative, but something to be aware of.

Located directly on the Camino. Modern building with restaurant on site. Rooms comfortable and clean. Not much choice in this town for accommodations other than 1 albuergue so this Is your best bet here for private rooms.

The online registration form was a bit clunky as the vendor they use didn’t have an English option to view the form. The check in process Is remote. They send a door code via What’s App that opens the front door and your room is noted with the key found in your room. So no regular on site human presence. Chef was very nice and cooked me a delicious meal. Breakfast is continental style at 7:30. None of these things are deal breakers but would have been nice to be prepared for this or how to contact Someone if code didn’t work.

This gem of a hotel was so cozy and I loved having a wonderful dinner meal in their onsite restaurant. We met such nice people during dinner who were also on the Camino and we were able to get more drinks from the bar after dinner and go into a comfy living room to continue our conversations. The owner of the hotel also let us put some items in their refrigerator.

What a find! Riding from Denia to Coruna I needed a stop off close to the motorway, but not the normal service station ones as I wanted my bike to be secure. This fit the bill. The carpark behind the hotel isent secure, but there’s no need to worry as long as you have a bike lock. The room was lovely and clean and the 3 course dinner with wine for 18 euros is a must. Frozen pint glasses for beer after a long hot ride were a joy. The staff are very nice and did everything to make you feel welcome. The breakfast was the normal Spanish breakfast. Nothing special but very good and plentiful.

Nothing really. It would only sound petty.

Right on the Camino in a quiet town (with one exception--keep reading). They have a restaurant bar. We ate there and the good was good. Room was lovely. Clean, with access to a terrace where we could dry our clothes:) Note that at the other end of this small town, on the right, is a bar. If they are open, it will be loud at that end of the town--all the more reason to stay in this place as it's so quiet. Also, do visit the church in town and the nearby garden that's part of an albergue but welcomes visitors.

We stayed at Hotel Ambasmestas while on the Camino. We liked the location in the middle of the village. We got the matrimonial room on the 3rd floor under the roof. It was a beautiful room. However, it could get hot in summer. Unfortunately, they only served breakfast at 8:00am. Not practical if you want to leave early morning.

Clean, airy and nicely furnished room and bathroom. We arrived early off the Camino on an exceptionally hot day and alejandro on reception was excellent and we were able to use our room immediately. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Would stay again.

Nothing to dislike

Nice room, I had my own little balcony which was great. Right on the Camino trail. Wonderful dinner. Tiny little town so I didn’t have very much interaction with others. I only saw two other people at dinner and they came in after me so I ate alone.

Staff are very friendly but not always available.

Quiet and clean.

Maybe it was because we stayed on Sunday, check-in was not so easy. I was given a PIN by mail and had to key in to enter the premises. There was no one at the reception and we had to check-in using our smartphone.

Good evening meal and basic breakfast. The room was lovely. Comfortable and well equipped. Decent WiFi.

Unfortunately the outside terrace was not set up, I ended up sitting on a wall to enjoy the evening sun and my beer.
