Had everything I needed as a solo traveller on the Camino. I was welcomed by the owner and shown to my room. Everything was explained and directions given to get into town. Best of all, the breakfast prepared and ready in the kitchen in the morning was generous. I wasn’t hungry that day!

Don’t be put off by the exterior of the building (looks a bit like a truck stop!) It was actually a great place to stay on the Camino. The interior is a bit dated but again, it didn’t change the fact it was a comfortable stay.

Our stay in Venecia b&b was great especially after a long day walking the Camino. Carlos the owner was wonderful- showed us route back to Camino next day avoiding the town through the tunnel. Also gave mini tortilla & garlic bread free with our beer & provided us with a fabulous breakfast the next day.His attention to detail was second to none!

The bed was a little bit uncomfy & so was very flat pillow-but then we both have bad backs so maybe it was just us aching from the long day’s walk ! The shower plug hole & drain needed unclogging. After my hubby had his shower the water started leaking out under door into the bedroom -poss drains were clogged but also it had been pouring rain for several days which may have caused drainage issues too.

The staff were so friendly! I felt taken care of and cared about. It felt like home. I loved the cute breakfast they left for us to eat whenever we wanted. They provided a towel and real sheets and a blanket. The shower was big and had two shower heads. I love that kind. I loved this place so much and it was way better than the low price!

No AC and as an American, I'm not used to being so hot at night.

Carlos very pleasant. Enjoyed the breakfast that was boxed up just for me. Each bed had its own plug in, little light and shelf.

Only 1 bathroom with 1 shower for ladies, yet there were 3 showers for the men! After a tiring day, it was a 7 minute walk up the steep hill for a meal... I was too tired to do that. The vending machine didn't offer anything substantial. Would love to have a pilgrims meal at the hostel.

The beds and the plugs are so nice, I like that there's a real bedding, great kitchen and seating areas, although it's just a little bit out of town it's not a problem, the supermacados only about 10 minutes away and if you were taking the bus to bypass the O Cebrio stage it is very close to the bus stop. There was a very yummy breakfast and the place is very welcoming.

Very nice facilities, lots of space. I stayed in the blue bunk bed room & had a great experience. The host is so kind, amazing hospitality! They personally make everybody breakfast with their names on it & it’s included! I even told him about my food allergies & he made sure my breakfast had everything I could eat. It was delicious! The host also is always readily available and helps with everything! I will absolutely stay here again on my next Camino!

I wish the wi-fi worked a bit more consistently but I think this is a problem with the region because it’s in the mountains, I don’t think it’s the albergues’ fault

The best hostel I've ever been in. The dorms were really spacious and not cramped, the mattresses were really comfortable, there were warm radiators, and the breakfast was free. Every detail was addressed meticulously. A truly professional operation.

The noisy handle on the dorm room. And the 'no noise after 11' sign should be modified to '10'.

Breakfast was included in the price. You were provided with a cotton pillow case and top and bottom sheets as well as a towe. The dormitory room only held 6

I really don't want to say anything was bad, but I would suggest that if possible a line on the balcony to assist in drying clothes would help, especially if the hostel was full

Although the lodging is outside the historic center, it is very convenient, especially if you are traveling towards Lugo, since the bus stop is just a few steps from the hostel. On the other hand the rooms and bathroom are clean and in good condition. The breakfast is very good, to start a day in this small town! Overall I really enjoyed my stay in this area. The historic center is only a 5 or 6 minute walk away and very close to the hotel. Also, if it is a hot day, there is a spa less than 5 minutes away.

The only negative thing I can say about this place was the company I had in the shared room. She was a very heavy French pilgrim who didn't even allow me to turn on the light at 21.30pm when I needed it to get my sleeping things.... Overall the accommodation is very comfortable and the owner is very nice!

The host was very helpful and accommodating. I inadvertently overbooked the number of beds (which he was unable to resolve on site), but when my son ended up wanting to spend an extra day at this location, he allowed him to stay in a private room free of charge. We had 2 private rooms which were very spacious and clean with a stocked private bathroom and it felt like staying in a hotel. My youngest son preferred the albergue experience and slept in the common room in a bunk bed and it was just as clean and orderly. The host prepared a table for our family with a pilgrim's breakfast, separate from the other visitors. This was a nice touch.

The location is a little off the beaten path of the town and you need to cross a main road (if you are a pilgrim) to get to it. Therefore, if you wish to go into the town, the same is true - you are a little bit away from the Camino action.
