The location is convenient for the bus station. My single room on a last floor had an entrance to a terrace with the view, which was a wonderful bonus. The bathroom had an unusually-sized half-bathtub, but the bed was comfortable full-size, not twin. The weekend staff was wonderful - an English-speaking local student, who was very helpful and personable. Wi-Fi worked great.

I was ready to give it 10/10 after my first night, but on my second night I had an issue with a loud speaking neighbor. So, the wall sound isolation is non-existent. However, when I asked a staff to call the neighbor after loosing my patience after 1 hour, the neighbor miraculously stopped his loud conversation.

No complaints except perhaps we in the U.K. are used now to having coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms which is a rare thing in Spain.

The reception area was roomy and with staff on duty 24hrs. All the hotel staff were very friendly, most helpful and treated us as more than guests. They were good at recommending places to visit and offering information about local transport and places to eat close to the hotel. The room was pleasant, had a balcony and a view over the city to the harbour and across the bay. It was lovely to be there and watch the sunset if we'd returned before dark. The beds were very comfortable and always looked crisp and white after the room had been made up. Towels were thicker and fluffier than I expected! Buffet breakfast was plentiful with a good selection of fruit, cold meats, and pastries, yoghurts, a hot selection and more from 0700- 1100. The cafeteria was open for coffee and pastries during the day evening meals could be provided and there was a bar open during the day and in the evenings.

Really very, very minor dislikes! Coffee provided at breakfast was disappointing, but espresso, capuchino etc was available from the bar. Toilet paper a bit on the economy side. Only one chair in a room for two - I suppose I could've asked for another, but as we spent so little time in the room it seemed a trivial request.

Good sized room, very clean, firm bed, quite close to the bus station if you need it (we returned to Porto from here). There was also a small complimentary bottle of water in the room which was thoughtful. Tip. On the opposite side of the road, there's a fabulous organic store that doubles as a cafe.

The breakfast room is relatively small for the number of potential guests. So, it can get quite busy, but don't let that put you off.

OCA Ipanema has excellent location, great staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good wifi, very good breakfast, good room rate.

The hotel offered me a very quiet room, but the neighbors next door made it "a conference room", with their loud chat and powerful voices in the middle of the night. I knocked the bed table after almost one hour of animated and respectless conversation ( they woke me up at 2am, I protested at 3am), they slowed down the noise for a few minutes, then continued the chat. So, my disconfort îs related to the thin walls. Maybe, the reception should inform the clients at check-in to respect the silence during the night.

Great location, easy parking nearby, room size. Seaview and sunny room. The breakfast is totally worth the price.

The hotel is near a busy road and the windows are not well insulated making the room noisy

The staff were fantastic - really friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed for a one night stay and was very clean and comfortable. We had a great view from our fourth floor balcony and the hotel is in a quiet street. The ground floor bar/restaurant was handy for a late night drink or for coffee and a light snack or breakfast. Close to Urzaiz train and bus station and the shiny new shopping centre. Only a short walk to the historic centre.

The decor is a little dated but this didn't affect our enjoyment in any way.

The locations was great with sea views, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is a bit dated and you can hear the doors opening and closing but it’s peaceful to sleep for being so central. The rooms are quite big and so are the bathrooms. The receptionists were really nice and very friendly.

The breakfast, the coffee was cold and the scrambled eggs as well. The room had a bit of dust and I believe the cleaners forgot to take the rubbish with them and left on the top of the bathroom sink.

Excellent service from staff who were very helpful and kind. Gave us everything we asked for. Good location. Clean and spacious bedroom! Excellent varied breakfast too.

Kettle in room would have been helpful. Otherwise it was great.

It was a quiet room on the 8th floor with a large balcony, and able to see the city. Their breakfast buffet was delicious and their hospitality was 10/10. Specifically, the receptionist lady explained and recommended where I could visit near to the hotel. Gracias, S---l-
