The staff at the resort are amongst the best I have ever come across. Literally everyone was outstanding, went out of their way to look after us and made our stay memorable. The food was great, my boys 13 and 11 looked forward to it everyday. The buffet was pretty good, there were separate and quite extensive sections at breakfast and dinner i.e. vegetarian, meat and pork. Sri Lankan curries, etc. The Sri Lankan food was amazing, the crab curry at Siam Palace restaurant at the resort is just incredible. You have to dig in with a nutcracker and get your hands dirty but the flavour is just out of this world. I ordered it three times and it was fantastic every time. I could eat it all day long. The rooms were super comfortable, very clean and had very good views of the beach. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job and checked if we needed anything extra every early afternoon. The pool (with little swim up bar) is great, big and well maintained. The water temperature was very acceptable. Sunbeds were easy to find even though we were four. The beach was just delightful, with soft golden sand and not crowded at all. We were there during the rainy season and though it didn't rain, the sea was a tad choppy, with the beach closed for two days. We're confident swimmers, so thoroughly enjoyed the waves. Walks along the beach were terrific, and we saw plenty of crabs scurrying around in the afternoon. The river / estuary around the back is also great. My boys jet skied on it and we took a boat safari to two different mangrove forests. They were incredibly beautiful. The mangrove trees and palms alone were stunning, and in addition we got to see plenty of wildlife, such as water monitor lizards, small crocodiles, plenty of birds, monkeys, mongooses and huge fruit bats. We went to two local restaurants in Bentota, both of which I'd highly recommend. The Secret Harbour and Boss of Prawns. The jumbo prawns at both places were stunning.

Tiny thing, if I was to clutch at strays - the pool table room was closed, as it was off season.

Food was great, the pool and the access to the quiet beach near by were also excellent. So many facilities in the hotel and there are 4 restaurants in the hotel of which we got to try the thai and the riverside cafe (for breakfast) both had excellent food quality . Overall this was the most comfortable stay we had in our trip to Sri Lanka.

The check in and services were a little bit slow and inefficient. Hope they can improve on that. Also they did not have a hair dryer in the room provided . Toilet is also see through so that is something to keep in mind if that bothers you.

The stay was good. We liked the pool.and the temperature of the water.

We feel the phone answering needs improvement sometimes some departments don't answer the phones when we call. Also the breakfast buffet section needs closer monitoring and management. For example some guests who are families of 5 would choose a table for 4 and pull a chair from a nearby table depriving that table of the chairs allocated to it. As a result families of 04 find that a table for 04 does not have enough chairs. Like wise some families with 02 people would occupied and table for 04 These things need to be managed by a supervisor to inform guests accordingly Also the washroom was poorly lit . It needs bright light bulbs

It is a beautiful property with spacious rooms All amenities were provided Food was good You have to come and go to the resort through a boat, and the service is available. 24*7 We did a lot of water activities on the river side, which is available either in the hotel or just outside the hotel too

The pool closes at 7 PM, which is a bummer We had a ocean facing room, but it is more like pool facing, and the ocean is quite far, so they should make it mention it is pool facing and not ocean facing

It’s 4 star but the Al la carte menu is very 3 average. It’s just a cafe menu. Which is fine, they just use terminology that makes you think it’s going to be nicer than it is. We were just breakfast but it seemed everyone else was all inclusive which we didn’t have an option to book for so felt it should’ve been cheaper than it was. Overall though it was a happy place and we felt safe.

Excellent staff, always smiling and very helpful. We got a double upgrade and the staff ensured we were comfortable in every way. There is live music until 11pm and a bar in the pool serving drinks until 6pm. The property is connected to the beach and has tuk tuks available. On arrival, you are taken to the hotel by a boat and the boat is available 24 hours with free unlimited transfers. The buffet has a great selection with very good prices for a hotel stay. Roshni from f&b arranged a private dinner on the beach for us and ensured everything was perfect. Nipun from the staff took very nice pictures of us the entire evening. Chamika from the staff stayed us with the entire duration of the private dinner, without making us feel hurried at all and also gave us discount for dinner for the next day and arranged special dessert. The dinner staff (very nice smiling boy I’m forgetting his name) decorated the table for us as a surprise and Silva was always smiling and was very hospitable at all meal times. Im forgetting to mention many people but a special thanks to all the staff to make the effort to go out of the way and make our stay very memorable.

For the safety reasons you can not go to the beach after 7 pm so you can not walk near the beach at night We asked for an accommodation and they told us it is okay and one days before arriving there they told us they don’t have rooms for drivers The staff was a bit busy and we waited for one hour before our check in.

Loved the property and the hospitality we got from each person who looked after us in the hotel. Thanks to Nuwan for looking after us and our rooms and all accessories in the room. Can’t forget the beautiful towel decorations he made on our beds for me and my husband. Also the reception staff , the restaurant staffs and the boatman taking us to and fro have been great. Thanks once again

Breakfast was a highlight. The large pool was terrific. Our king room overlooking the pool was large and well furnished, with a good-sized bathroom The air-con was quiet and worked well. The resort is a few metres from the beautiful beach. A big shout out to the wait staff in the Siam Pearl restaurant: Thanusha and Darshana.

We had a great stay here, the beach was easy to access. The pool facilities also easy to access. All facilities were clean and neat. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. On arrival the most beautiful lamp lighting ceremony was held with the reception staff, we all felt very special. The arrival on the jetty, you transported on a boat to the hotel reception. This also adds to the excitement of the stay! The rooms were very comfortable, The breakfast selections were vast! Really good overall.

Certain parts of the hotel is a bit dated. I am sure this is common, maybe a revamp of certain areas should be considered.
