The Cubus Ella is an absolute gem, especially for budget travelers! This 3-star hotel offers an exceptional dormitory experience—super clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bathrooms and showers are spotless, which is always a big plus in a hostel setting. A special touch that sets this place apart is the warm welcome with a drink upon arrival—something you don’t often see in hostels! The complimentary breakfast is another great perk, with a choice of different egg styles, fresh fruit, and coffee or tea to start the day right. The hospitality here is top-notch. The owner and his staff are incredibly kind and service-minded, always making sure guests feel comfortable. I had a late departure in the evening, and keeping my luggage at the front desk free of charge was no issue at all. If you’re looking for a clean, friendly, and well-run hostel in Ella, The Cubus Ella is the perfect choice. Highly recommend! Just be aware that this place is NOT in the city center, but a 5 minutts Tuk Tuk ride away. This was not a problem, as one ride was 500r.

superb place with easy access to the town and the train station. spacious rooms and restaurant / ground floor to hangout… tasty food and friendly staff and highly recommend the place for anyone visiting Ella.

We were so glad to have booked The Cubes for our stay in Ella. All the staff are so wonderful and make you feel really comfortable from the moment you walk in. Our room was comfortable, clean and had such a beautiful view from the balcony. The food was also incredible and the kitchen staff always ensure you are well fed! The location being a short drive from the main strip means that it's much quieter than the town centre with travel to and from being a breeze via tuktuk. A special shout out to The Cubes tuktuk driver Tharindu - he picked us up from Ella station and ensured he was waiting there for us when we arrived, keeping in touch as we reached the stations before Ella. It was really easy to arrange transport to and from Ella centre through him and he was always so so lovely! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

I cannot rate this property highly enough , it is absolutely stunning ! it’s brand new , the rooms are gorgeous with views to die for , it’s so peaceful and quiet it’s like a little bit of heaven . the staff are absolutely amazing and they really made our holiday , special mention to the manager , the restaurant manager and of course the chef they couldn’t do enough for us , they were always on hand for any questions we had , and they were so lovely to talk to . we had a delicious breakfast made to order every morning at whatever time we liked ( breakfast is huge btw !) just book it you won’t regret it ! we can’t wait to return :) Thankyou so much to the staff for an amazing 2 nights , and for looking after us exceptionally well xx

Top notch place, ended up staying 2 extra nights. The breakfast was filling and delicious, the staff were amazing, and my dorm room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. AC worked well when needed. Everything was new. I enjoyed my conversation with Rishard the manager. Pleasant person with good conversational.skills. I also enjoyed being away from the thousands of other tourist's crawling around Ella. This area was much more peaceful. This place was less than 10 minutes out of town, and they have connection with a tuk tuk driver who will take you everywhere for far less than the going rate.

If you are looking for the perfect place in Ella to relax, stop looking you’ve found the right hotel. The staff was a real bonus, they are always trying their best to make you feel at home. Regarding the room itself, it’s quite spacious, very clean & the bed will offer you the best sleep. The cubes are truly the highlight of our trip around Sri Lanka. We initially booked one night but came back for 3 more nights. There is a room service and laundry can be done too. Special thanks to Eprival 🙏🏻

The rooms were a bit small but all the facilities included. The food was delicious, thanks to the chef. We spent only one night there and wanted to visit as much placed within that short time duration. If you travel by bus or train better to rent a bike as the location is bit far from ella town. The view was great. Rooms were clean and no any noice comes into rooms from outside. Staff is helpful, specially the experienced staff member who well spoken to each customer is a true gem to the place. Really appreciate his welcoming gesture.

I didn’t like the way one staff member treated us as it was quiet obvious that he treated the customers differently. May be we traveled by a scooter and being a local customer.

The service was excellent, and I felt that I was taken care of during my stay. Everything that I needed was attended to. The room was clean and spacious; I specifically loved the smell of their linens and the view of the mountains from the room. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Ella. It's a bit far from the town, approximately a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute walk. It's ideal if you prefer a quiet time, and they can arrange a tuk-tuk if you need one.

We like the hotel and location. The view from our room was amazing , with 3-arch bridge and trains going over it .. The room was good size and well appointed. Breakfast was really good , we chose continental. Staff in the hotel is really helpful, Primal helped us to arrange transportation, and everything worked well

I think it is Ella's specific , you need to huggle with tuk tuk drivers to get from town to the hotel. (the final price is 500-700 rs, they usually ask 1000 ) PICKME doesn't work there

That I couldn't stay longer. Due to my travel itinerary, I could only stay just one night. I would have preferred to stay 2-3 nights to enjoy the calm environment.
