I recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful homestay in Ella, and I can confidently say it was one of the most enriching experiences of my travels. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality from the host family. The homestay itself is nestled in the lush hills of Ella, providing stunning views that make you feel truly connected to nature. The accommodations were not only comfortable but also beautifully decorated, reflecting the local culture. My room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the delicious home-cooked meals prepared by the family. Each dish was a delightful experience, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. They were more than happy to share recipes and stories about their culinary traditions, which added a personal touch to my dining experience. The family was incredibly welcoming and eager to share their knowledge about Ella and its surroundings. They organized a guided tour for me to explore the nearby tea plantations and waterfalls, which made my trip even more memorable. Their insights into local customs and traditions enriched my understanding of the culture. Overall, my stay at this homestay in Ella was exceptional. It offered the perfect blend of comfort, culture, and hospitality. I left feeling like I was part of the family and with memories that I will cherish forever. I highly recommend this homestay.

Stunning location, views across the valley onto Little Adam's peak, Ella Rock and the waterfall. You can even see the famous train snaking through below. Room was spacious with all basic amenities. Host family go out of their way to help you; they stayed up late for us when we unexpectedly checked in late and then made us breakfast at 5:30am when we had a train to catch. Really appreciated this. Definitely a must if you're looking for a place to stay in Ella.

There are a lot of stairs to climb to reach the guesthouse - maybe worth considering for those with limited mobility. Also worth noting that the guesthouse is in Kithaya Ella. So either catch a tuk or enjoy the approximately half an hour walk into Ella itself.

Cute little Home Stay on top of the mountain overlooking the beautiful town and Valley. The owners were very kind, always bringing us fresh tea and cookies, breakfast was great and generous, and the prices for tuk tuk to the bottom of the hill were quite reasonable. The owner even woke up at 5 AM to drive us to the nine arches bridge at 5:30, for much less than the other drivers were going to charge. Would highly recommend this property!

Nothing, it was great! Just be aware that there are quite a few steps to climb to get to the Home Stay from the main road, so a backpack is best!

The views from the balcony were fabulous. The bed was comfortable & the room clean. The breakfast was very good.

I loved the glass fronted room, but the hosts did come onto the balcony a few times unannounced which could have been awkward if I’d just come out of the shower. There are 100 steps up to the property, which ordinarily wouldn’t be a problem for me, but I had been unwell just before my stay so found the steps quite a challenge.

The room was very comfortable and the facilities were good too. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. They picked us up from the station and the tuk tuk is available if you speak to them in advance. The food was great we only had the breakfast which was amazing. The view - there are no words to describe the view it is sensational.

The stairs. This property is. It for unfit travellers. It is literally up the side of a mountain. With the only access via 148 stairs straight up! This is the only drawback to this accommodation.

* View was amazing - I seriously doubt that you can find a location with a better view in the area. * Peaceful - while it's just about 3 minutes away from the ella city center , the environment was very peaceful and quiet . * Hospitality - The owners were very helpful and attentive . Greeted with a smile and attended to all our requirements. * Affordable - A place with such a view and a peaceful environment is very expensive in the area . But pleasant peak was affordable and can recommend as value for money.

* Access - Location is easily accessible and located close to the city center but only downside is that you have to climb few steps . However I knew it on advance and the owners also kept me informed of the same. For me climbing those stairs was worth it considering the experience I recieved !

This guesthouse has an amazing view. You can sit in the bed and watch the sunrise as one side of the room is mainly glass. The hosts are very sweet and kind people. The owner has his own tuk tuk and so you can book a ride into town. They offer a laundry service too. The breakfast was filling and you can request a time for it, and they bring it to your balcony. I was travelling alone and I felt very cared for by the whole family. I would definitely book again if I return!

A bit of a climb up the steps to get to the accommodation but it's worth it for the amazing views. Breakfast was lovely and I enjoyed it whilst taking in the views from the balcony. Bedrooms clean. Amazing accommodation for the price. It's about a 20-25 minute walk into the town but it is nice to feel away from the hustle and bustle of it all. It's very easy to get a tuk tuk to and from the town and the owner has a tuk tuk he can take you in.

The view of this hotel is epic! The staff are super friendly and helpful. My friend was sick on the check-in day, and even we arrived late, the host still made some simple food for her so that at least she got something to eat at night. Always with nice smile, and gave us lots of information during the stay. Highly recommended!
