Location is perfect. The only hotel in the beach, there is no one a couple of kilometers each side. For comparison, if you go to Unawatuna you will see the difference, the very negative one. Service. The staff is very nice. Restaurant food is gorgeous. Have compared it with the best restaurants in Galle. Beach and view from the balcony are very nice.

Great views and very friendly , helpful staff . The food is amazing although it does take a while for them to prepare. The property is about halfway between Galle and Hikkaduwa and it takes about 10-15 mins to reach either so in that sense, it’s a great central point for exploration. However, it’s not on the Hikkaduwa beach in case that’s your expectation.

The staff at the property is fantastic but the central team responsible for reservations can do better. My room description was misrepresented and hence docking a star. I was annoyed initially since the description led me to believe it was a larger room but the staff at the property won me over.

Excellent service all around! The restaurant served great food for all meals. It was super quiet and relaxing. Beach is beautiful. Rooms are really nice and makes you want to stay inside with small extras such as netflix and amazon prime on the tv.

The plunge pools are not heated so there is no real point in having them since they are in the shade. It's too cool to stay in and relax. The hotel pool is not very private. It's placed in the middle of the restaurant which makes it a bit weird. Also there are no sunbeds by the pool only by the ocean. I would say the value for money is probably better other places but we certainly enjoyed our stay a lot!

They have the most helpful and courteous staff. Special Mention to the GM Wayne and Restaurant Manager Chaminda The Breakfast and all food at Crystal Sands is on point. The Tempest Restaurant on the roof top serves up excellent Sri-Lankan inspired Tapas and we were able to witness the most magical sunset. The Apartments are absolutely perfect and spacious and having a plunge pool in our balcony was an absolute treat!

I stay in a Sand view category. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a stunning sea view, which was truly breathtaking. One of the highlights of my stay was the access to the plunge pool and the rooftop pool, both of which provided a perfect spot to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful and quiet, ideal for a relaxing getaway. The restaurant were fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes. Overall, I had an exceptional experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and serene escape.

Beautiful modern, spacious apartment with fab views and was spotlessly clean! There is a fantastic housekeeping team who are on hand anytime and clean very well so top marks. The beach directly outside is beautiful and the rooftop pool is nice and has amazing views. The rooftop restaurant was a highlight as the food was fantastic and the service from our waiter, Pamindu was fab so a special shout out goes to him :)

I wish the jacuzzi pool on our private terrace was heated. Other than that there was nothing else we didn't like.

The building is great, very modern, well appointed suites with all your needs. We had the surf suite which was spacious and perfect for small families. Loved that it had a washer dryer as well. The suites function more like apartments. The outdoor area was fantastic with ample seating and a beautiful plunge pool with spectacular views. The sound of the waves crashing into the shore is just heavenly!

The service was pretty slow. The staff definitely needs more training. They were trying to be helpful and hospitable which is much appreciated but the response time was slow compared to other larger properties. We arrived an hour late and despite having alerted the hotel of our arrival, the rooms were not ready. Food was ready as it had been pre-ordered but not delivered to the room for a good 30-45 mins later so some items arrived cold. Would’ve appreciated a fan on the terrace for times it’s not as breezy.

The hotel is located right on the beach, not far from Galle, and from the rooms you can have a panoramic view of the vast beach in Hikkaduwa. The rooms are spacious and equipped with smart home appliances, a kitchen, an oven, tableware, and all the necessary facilities. The food served at the hotel is particularly outstanding and delicious! It was the best meal I've ever had in Sri Lanka! The hotel staff are very friendly! We had a great time in Hikkaduwa!

Beautiful location. Apartment is spacious and comfortable with everything you need in it or available on request. Staff are kind, and very attentive.

Location may not be ideal if you would like to be closer to other attractions/ more restaurants etc. We wished to order a bottle of wine shortly after we arrived, on calling the restaurant to find out the available options we were told that a bottle of white wine costs 22000 LKR (around 65 USD). We thought this was a very high price but it was a special occasion so we made the order. The next day we went to have dinner in the restaurant and saw that there was an extensive wine list, with many much more affordable wines available. We were sold the most expensive bottle without being offered the whole list. This was disappointing to find out.

Restaurant. The prices you see are not final, you still need to add on taxes and surcharges etc so ends up being so much more then you think & you don’t find out till you get the bill. That left a sour taste in our mouth.
