Just loved it here! Gorgeous accommodation in a little oasis just out of town. The rooms were beautiful, colonial in style and the pool was an absolute treat. The staff couldnt do enough for us, they got us a fab driver to Sigiriya and Dambulla and we ate lunch and dinner there , the food was fabulous and the staff brought it to the pool for us so we could continue to swim! We didnt really get to see Kandy as there was a famous festival on and the roads were clogged, but i can recommend the evening Lakeside cultural event which was very good.

The location was perfect for us, because it was quiet and a bit off the city (which can be very chaotic). For those who want to be near the city center, it might be tricky, as you’ll always need transportation.

The staff is nice overall, but I feel that my friends and I fell into a tourist trap with the tuk tuk driver. We assumed he was part of the staff, but soon realised that he also had his own agenda. He took us to typical wood carving stores and herbal gardens, where you spend some time getting an explanation on the products and are expected to purchase items afterwards. But he was still really nice and kind.

We had such a great stay at Veraima Kandy! The place is a lovely oasis away from the busy center of Kandy. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated in Sri Lankan traditional style with comfy beds and working AC. The pool is such an added bonus after a long day or travel, especially with kids. The breakfast and dinners were very tasty (so we did not even go out to eat). But above all the staff is so friendly and accommodating! They made sure everything was arranged: laundry, tuktuk, and they organized my son the best birthday away from home, complete with the best cake ever! 🎂 Thank you Veraima team!!

We liked everything! But for some this maybe a bit too far out of the centre..for us no problem at all, we preferred the relaxing atmosphere and it's just 10min tuktuk from the busy Kandy centre

Fantastic quiet location, in the jungle and away from the madness of Kandy City Centre. About a 40 minute, uphill walk to Kandy or better a Tuk Tuk. Breakfasts were lovely and clothes washing available. We booked 2 nights but extended to 3. Only ate in the once but it was very good. They also serve beer which not everywhere does. Our chalet was fairly new and well fitted out. Effective fan so didn't need to use the Air Con.

Pool wasn't as warm as others but you are higher up and still very pleasant. Loungers available.

excellent service from owner /he lives in next building so has very strict eye to staff/, beautiful terrace with view to jungle, really very nice and clean, clean and 24hour accesible pool, possible airport pickup and all day trip/ we were in Sigiriya - definitely recommend/, owner, guide and also driver in one person able to be ready at the 03:30. Wow! our first accomodation in Sri Lanka, we were very satisfied, thank you. Another point is, everybody says people in Sri Lanka are warm, polite, hospitable, modest and always kindly smiling. Totally true, I trust it.

little but far from centre /need to take tuk tuk/ i would recommend owner to change the breakfast. Why serve western toast with butter and jam if you have local fruit and rotti?

Lovely small boutique place with nice pool and friendly staff. Food was good and the prices reasonable. The price for the room was exceptionally good value.

There were no pool towels (we found). Pool is small but adequate. Not ideal for families as we had to take 2 separate rooms but for one night this was fine. Wrong side of town if travelling early to Nuwara Eliya the next morning but other than that great. Could have done with hand soap in the bathroom (there was shampoo and body wash).

Excellent Location bit out side of the Kandy.You can reach kandy city with in 10min.Really clam place with nature.owner is very helpful and knowledgeable.he gave us more information about the kandy and who would like to do activities ex(Ayurvedic massage,arrange day tours and Kandy city tour etc)pool was really nice to relax.staff is very friendly.most important thing is the breakfast and restaurant they offer really tasty breakfast and dinner.room was really clean and huge.bathroom was super clean.highly recommend this place.when i come to srilanka definitely stay more nights in this hotel.

We had THE BEST! time at Veraima The scenery is beautiful, so much greenery and we loved the restaurant veranda which felt like you were nestled in the rainforest. It is a short tuk tuk ride (10 mins) from the hustle and bustle of Kandy which only cost about 500 rupees. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony again looking over lush greenery The people who worked there really made the stay extra special - so welcoming and they were willing to help in any way they could whether that was organising transport or accommodating us when we needed to stay an extra night. Thank you SO much!!

It was a nice place with decent facilities. The staff was courteous however we had to ask for even small things like water etc. We had good hot water in the bathroom. The rooms were clean and towels and soaps were provided.

The water bottle kept had things floating and we had to haggle to get it replaced with sealed bottles. They however obliged and provided free water. There is no wardrobe or clothes hanger in the room. The AC in our room was not effective as it was not fully serviceable. The lighting in the room was not bright enough.

Fantastic couple of days staying at Veraima. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. The pool was great. Clean, with sunbeds and tables and chairs. Although a little way out from the centre of Kandy, it is an affordable tuk tul ride, and nice to escape the city. Special mention to the staff and owner who were extremely polite, happy, and willing to help if needed. They also made us a breakfast takeaway pack, as we left early to the train station, which was much appreciated. Highly recommend.
