The hotel is very nice, our room was super pretty. Everything was clean, the pool a welcome refreshment in the evening. The decorations very nice.The food was excellent. The best part was our wonderful host Lasi. He is the heart and soul of this hotel, thanks to whom I would 100% recommend anyone to visit! He made us feel so comfortable. We arrived super early and were allowed to sleep in a free available room while ours was being cleaned and we received complimentary tea and coffee. We got a super nice breakfast once at 6 am because we wanted to start a tour early. On the day of the departure Lasi went to the train station for us before 5 am to get the train ticket and waited in the queue!

Very minor things: the Wi-Fi was not very strong. The location is nice when it comes to the jungle view, but there is a road right next to the hotel, which you hear. But I didn’t feel too disturbed-would still 100% recommend!

Staff and their kindness deserve special highlight and big thanks. They offered a great tuk tuk tour so we had entire day activities organised (the driver is such a wonderful person). They also helped us with the train tickets to Ella and went with car to the station (we could visit tea factory on our way!). It made our stay a really easy one. Whatever we asked for, there was no problem at all to make it happen.

Though the property looks very pretty, the garden is beautiful with plenty of different plants, the room and balcony could be a bit cleaner. There was no bath rug and the floor in the bathroom was getting easily wet (there was no “equipment” to remove it (but when requested, we got it).

The property was very nice and the room was spacious, it has a lovely little pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. There is a tuk tuk driver on site who can take you places or they can arrange one for you.

It was very noisy at night, you could hear people in the lobby and other rooms sometimes late into the night. There is also a tannoy nearby that plays chanting from 5am till 6am every morning which woke us up. They do not have a card machine, thankfully we had cash so we’re able to pay for our stay but had we not had enough cash we would have had to get a tuk tuk to get some. It is a little far from the city centre so you will need a tuk tuk to get around.

The owner and all the staff are very lovely and made us feel very looked after. Including taking us on a day trip to Sigiriya on request and even fixing our adaptor plug when the fuse broke. The whole guesthouse has a very peaceful vibe to it, like a little oasis outside of Kandy. I would definitely stay again

It is slightly out of town - 10mins by tuktuk, which costs 500 rupees each way. However, completely worth it to be in such a lovely guesthouse and to escape the chaos of Kandy.

The owner of the hotel was an amazing host, always ready to help us arrange trips even after the end of our stay. He always has a bright idea or a connection which help you find a solution to your minor issues. The hotel is very nice, nested in the nature while very close to every places of interest in Kandy. Dinner was great and the refreshing pool is a real plus. We absolutely recommend going there

Fantastic place with the friendliest of staff. Every need was catered for. We did the cookery class with them which was great fun . This involved buying ingredients at the local market then cooking 6 delicious curries which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were wonderful and we enjoyed the banter . They even provided us with a Sri Lankan breakfast at our request as well as going to fetch ginger beer for me . Pool was super too

only improvement would be a fridge in the room

We enjoyed the stay at Veraima Kandy very much. Rooms vere clean and spacious. Staff was very kind and helpful. We also took cooking lesson here. Mr. Gayan drove us around the city, where we visited beautiful botanical garden and then he took us to local market to buy various kinds of vegetable and fish for our cooking class. Cooking class was lead by Mr. Manjula who taught us how to prepare selection of traditional delicious curries, which we enjoyed later at our dinner.

We had an amazing 2 nights stay - had a warm welcome after arrival, staff was super friendly and helpful with everything we asked about - a private yoga lesson, train tickets, laundry etc.. their tuk-tuk driver Susantha who took us around, was also a nice and modest person. Very cosy hotel, with enjoyable shady restaurant surrounded by greenery and pleasant pool area. I especially appreciate a small, but for me important thing - usage of metal straws (instead of one-time plastic ones). Thank you again :)!

The room was so beautiful, spacious room with nice furnishing. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, lots of different plant and trees. The pool area was a nice place to relax by in the warm days. We had dinner two days in a row at the hotel. They served local food and it was absolutely delicious. The best thing about veraima is the amazing staff. They are really helpful and kind. We would definitely come back to veraima again.

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, the location is good, very close to the station and the city area The restaurant was fabulous and the staff though a little overworked and very busy, did a good job with explaining the menu to us and food was great .
