We’ve had a very nice stay. The location around de lake is perfect and quite. The room is beautiful and clean. Breakfast was also very good. The team was great, Kaumada & Sachin helped us a lot, for any question or need we had. Thank you 🙏🏻

Wonderful location right by the Kandy lake. Super comfortable, lovely large rooms with all the amenities. Clean and classy lodgings. The staff were friendly and there's a restaurant downstairs with super yummy food.

The staff were really helpful with all aspects of our stay. Both rooms were large and the upstairs one had a lovely view of the lake. Breakfast was very good and generous - we were also able to take away the food were unable to eat.

Although one room was really good on all counts, the second one was next to the reception and was a bit noisy. Another very minor issue was that the wifi had different sites and passwords on different floors, which was a bit fiddly as we were staying on different floors.

I stayed at Viyana for one night. From the welcome at the Check in to check out the staff was extremely attentive. Felt like I’ve known them for a while. They helped me rent a vehicle to my next destination and gave me some good references. The room was spacious and very clean. Since the hotel is next to the Kandy lake its very close to the city center. Food was amazing very flavorful. Breakfast had a massive range and was super full afterwards. Hope to come back soon. :)

Tucked away in the corner of Kandy Lake, this place is a great escape from the downtown region. Within walking distance of the Sacred Tooth Temple and Kandy Cultural center. The room is spacious and the bathroom/shower is luxurious. For me, the biggest highlight is the staff who are very friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable. They have a restaurant on the ground floor that you can't find on Google maps, but trust me, the food is very delicious, generous portions, and reasonably price. The last best thing is that they accept card, which is rare in Sri Lanka in my experience.

The hotel is located right in the bend of a busy road. The obvious drawback is that it means a bit of noise. The great advantage however is that it is easy to reach and it is a 10 minutes walk in to the heart of the city center, including the temple complex. The staff are very friendly and customer-focused, the quality of the food is good. The hotel is really quite nice and the rooms are well insulated from the road noise. The hotel furthermore offers nice lake views.

Ask staff about parking options if you bring your own transportation, because there is only limited parking available directly in front of the hotel.

The rooms were clean, bathrooms were super spacious as were the rooms. The view was lovely over the lake and Kandy hustle and bustle. The staff were amazing - it was my birthday and they made it so memorable with balloons and a delicious cake in my room. They were as excited to give this to me as I was to receive such a lovely present. Kaumada & the team did this all off their own back, which is a kindness you don’t often see. A special mention to the man at dinner, he was great chat & served with a smile. They gave us a much needed umbrella for the rain. Visit the hideout lounge, just a walk across the bridge if you want a quick bite somewhere / breakfast! Although, hotel food was delicious & sangrias are yummy!

The food was a little limited, but it’s a good sign that what they have is fresh which I prefer anyway.

It was a lovely stay from the start. We got a nice iced cinnamon tea to start and then were invited to light the oil lamp as a traditional way to welcome us to the hotel. The room was very clean and smelled nice. The restaurant downstairs had a very nice set of delicacies with a good set of wines to select from. The view was fantastic. We were just in front of the lake. The location was the best it was in the central of the city but not too central so it wasn’t too loud. It was just minutes walk to the central city and the temple of the tooth. A very nicely kept hotel with even better service.

We had the king suite with a beautiful view and jacuzzi. Definitely worth the upgrade. The location is really good, having the right balance of being by the lake and a 15 minute walk to the center. The staff were nice and the breakfast was really good and plentiful.

There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room and it could definitely use a mosquito net. The street was rather loud and it was also too noisy (and filled with mosquitos) to sit outside on the nice balcony. Also be aware that an old man outside of the hotel sells himself as the chef cook of the hotel, but he actually has no relation to it and is simply trying to sell you tickets to the dance (amongst other things).

The rooms were very clean. Staff was extremely attentive asking us how our trip was from the very beginning. We had to light an oil lamp as a customary welcome to the hotel which was unique and which we didn’t experience elsewhere. Breakfast was fantastic lovely spread with waffles and muffins, cake, bacon amazing stuff. We tried the restaurant downstairs. Had a great variety and tasted really nice. Close proximity to the main city and walking distance to all major attractions. Would definitely want to visit again. :)
