The hotel is excellent and so is the location. The room is wonderful, spacious with a fantastic bed and a large bathroom. We truly had a restful stay here. The young lady who served us breakfast was incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel’s director was very friendly and always looking to assist; he also appeared to be highly knowledgeable in his profession. This is a great place to stay when in Tangalle.

The cleanliness is lacking, with dirty windows and insufficient deep cleaning. The breakfast was the worst, featuring low-quality products and very little variety. We had pancakes, which were the only somewhat edible option. Despite the disappointing breakfast, we still recommend this place due to its excellent location, restful atmosphere, and private beach!

Golden Pearl Tangalle Beach is best hotel that you can find at Tangalle.Chef is great , we have been in Sri Lanka like 15 days and best foods ,snacks, breakfast and dinners that we ate in here.All hotel team is always smiling.They feels you like very special.I had an accident while walking in town and after i msg to them ,they came like instantly with lots of people also who works in hotel and helped me and to my wife.They arranged transport even for hospital and even a guy stayed with us.They care their customers like baby :) , i feel like i am at home.I feel secure and safe in here and this is very important for tourists who come from different countries.I recommend this hotel to everyone.I thank you to whole hotel team but specially ; Hotel Manager Mr.Upul and Marketing Manager Mr.Sanjeewa , those guys are amazing.God bless them all.

Amazing location just 6 steps from the sea. Lovely clean swimming pool. Good selection of food for breakfast one day it was table service and the next when there were more guests it was a buffet both the same selection of food so no real difference both good. Nice spacious rooms even with 4 beds for the famiky we had loafs of space. Nice big balcony with a view of pool then onto the beach. Big bathroom with a view of the beach and sea Close to town and couldn't be any closer to the beautiful beach and sea. Nice games area with pool and snooker and table tennis, table football and darts was a nice touch for the kids Small swing and climbing frame was good for our 5 year old next to the pool. Nice big carp pond in reception and the layout looks great ay night all lit up. And the manager gave us a lovely souvenir plate when we left as a gift which was a lovely gesture and memory or our stay and time in Sri Lanka Would highly recommend for the location cleanliness and service kids loved it and great 2 night stay and perfect for a break by the pool and sea for the fmaiky after a lot of travelling Sea is rough at this time of year so ot for the kids but was fun for me. Come Nseptemver november the sea with be flat calm again

All very good, only thing I could add for feedback to the staff was the lighting in bathroom is not great has one downlight for the whole room and a mirror light so bit dark at night. It's so close to the sea we loved going to sleep to the sound of the rough sea but some may find this too loud is your a light sleeper. Was perfect for us though never stayed in a hotel so close to the sea

Absolutely amazing manager with great 'can do' attitude and fluent in English. All was possible to arrange, just name it and he will make it happen: extra bed, extra night, late check out, sth special for breakfast, minivan for transportation. Room was spacious and clean, with tv and balcony. Nice breakfast, cool pool, even small playground for kids (at age up to ~3y.o.). Hotel located close to Tangalle city with number of restaurants around the corner. We have had very relaxing time here and decided to extend the stay for extra night.

beaches are a bit nicer in other locations nearby, water here wasn't that clear price was a bit higher than in other places that we stayed in

i) Location is strategic; walking distance to the bus station coming/going to Colombo city. Many available eateries at its surroundings, which is walking distance. It’s located at a fishing village, throughout the day you get to witness and participate in their daily activities. ii) Cleanliness; room, bathroom and hotel vicinity is clean. iii) Room with sea view; magnificent view and for sunrise and star gazing lovers, the balcony offers you private viewing of these serendip moments. Hence, the room is spacious and offers a very quaint mood. iv) Food; breakfast spread offers from Western to their local Sri Lankan delicacies. And quality of food is good as well, and able to accommodate to one’s personal request if you speak to them. v) Staff; most of them understands English. The Manager and Executive Chef are fluent in English (worked overseas prior). They are friendly, very accommodating and helpful most importantly.

We had a fantastic stay here, the location is perfect within walking distance of the town and also the bars and restaurants along the beach road. The staff made our visit very special and nothing was too much trouble, they went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The room was well equipped, spacious and had an amazing sea view. The design of the hotel is very special with excellent facilities, including a brand new gym. We will he certainly returning on our next trip to Sri Lanka. Thank you to all the team.

Everything was just perfect, lovely staff, nice and clean rooms, food really tasty. Great location, next to thea beach, and close to town center, 5 minutes to walk till there, clean swimming pool, and great sea view. The property was modern and well maintained. The access to the beach is super easy and you’ll find fresh beach towels right next to the pool. The hotel takes care of everything and all facilities are very clean. Their staff is really friendly and super helpful! No matter what your request might be they will try their best. The rooms have everything you need and our bed was super comfortable!

Breakfasts are horrible. Everything is fried with coconut oil, so there's always a bit of an after taste... And it's all the same every day. Every day it's the same few toasts, two packs of butter, one pack of melon strawberry flavoured (sic!) marmalade, one pack of orange marmalade and eggs.

Excellent location on a sandy beach. Easy walking distance from ATMs, supermarket and bus station in Tangalle. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity both on the beach and in the side streets back from the beach. More than ample number of sunbeds for number of guests. Clean swimming pool. We enjoyed a tasty evening meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced. Friendly and welcoming staff, especially the head chef and general manager who looked after us.
