Hotel reception was unwilling to provide a payment receipt/ invoice after paying in full for the hotel stay right at check in. Staff said receipt will be provided at check out instead. Strange, but we waited. On check out day, same reception staff flat out refused to provide proof of payment, instead asked us to contact Booking.com instead to get a receipt. There's no record of payment on Booking.com since the payment option for this particular hotel was to pay directly to the hotel. Very odd practice on an otherwise stellar hotel - would have been a perfect 10 rating if not for this bizarre and unnecessarily hostile interaction.

Great place to stay with big family, beds are very comfy, plenty room, we were very happy with our room! Breakfast amazing, it’s have everything you can imagine: like fancy resort style, my kids remember that hotel like very special and perfect one! Sauna was very clean and hot! You will love it!

Hotel is well maintained, rooms are comfy and cleaned with attention to details (although once the cleaning lady left our room open for at least couple of hours - fortunately nothing was missing from the room). Breakfast tasty with lots to choose from (however the restaurant gets veeeeery crowded in the morning). Staff nice and helpful. There is a parking by the hotel (paid extra) and we recommend to leave your car there and use public transport - bus stops are very near to the hotel, with circa 15 min drive to the centre of Stockholm. And we really loved the hotel’s living room area open for all guests - we played board games with our kids, enjoying fresh and free coffee (tea and water).

The bathroom is a bit dark and in ours there was not even one electrical socket which we found a bit uncomfortable.

We had a mostly pleasant stay at this beautifully designed and well-organized hotel. The common areas are cozy and welcoming, especially the lounge where you can enjoy complimentary coffee and tea all day – such a nice touch! The bar and restaurant are also gorgeous and incredibly comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day out. Our room was on the smaller side, but very well equipped – with a good-sized TV, a modern and clean bathroom, ample storage, and a safe. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is also excellent. It’s in a lovely area with parks like Hagaparken nearby, along with shopping centers and nice places to walk. Public transportation is very accessible, and there's even a direct airport bus that stops right in front of the hotel – super convenient!

There were a couple of disappointing experiences. When we arrived, the front desk couldn’t find our reservation, even though we had booked and paid in advance for two rooms. It took a while to sort out, which wasn’t a great first impression. Another letdown was the breakfast. While it was decent overall, there were very few vegan options available. Worse, the staff didn’t seem particularly willing to accommodate any dietary needs, which felt a bit dismissive. In a hotel of this standard, I expected a bit more flexibility and care on that front.

I would recommend hotel Gió to all who do not seek luxury, but prefer to get a piece of a good sleep, excellent breakfast for reasonable money and easy access to the city centre . Even though there´s a pretty busy highway just next to the hotel, you can´t hear nearly anything in your room. There´s a bus stop almost in front of a hotel that would get you to the Tunelbanna (metro), local rail or other buses going to the city centre. Concerning breakfast - it was really outstanding and there´s no wonder the hotel is quite famous for it. There´s a common room for daily use with free coffee, tea where guests can rest, work, read or whatever on very comfortable sofas or play either chest, cards or pool. I really appreciated free flow of coffee especially. Hotel is very clean, staff is friendly and helpful. (Except one male receptionist, but I know well one can have a bad day, so no worries). Another great thing is check out till 11:00 a.m. and if your flight is scheduled for afternoon, you may spend the time in the living room (common room). I would gladly come again and recommend the hotel to everyone.

I had a little problem with couple of things that might be an idea for hotels owners to improve. First one are beds. Not that they would not have been comfortable, but our Queen bed mattrasse was very soft so I felt like sleeping on a rough sea when my husband turned around. The other thing I would like to mention was missing socket in the bathroom. But perhaps it was only in our room? The last thing are the windows that can´t be opened therefore there´s no way to change air in the room. And it sucks in a small room like ours (and I knew it would be small when I booked our stay). Air condition did not help especially when you are used to sleep in a really cold air. And by the way - the red wine you find on the table with two glasses is not a welcome drink :-), it´s part of a mini-bar.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast is great, nice hangout space downstairs and outside. Also very close to public transport to easily go to the center. Staff is helpful, understanding and responsive.

The photos for the family room show a layout with a door separating the bunks and the double bed. Apparently, not all family rooms are like this. Because we requested a baby cot, we were put in a room where all beds were in the same space. This was a bad surprise on arrival, but we made it work even though it was not ideal. The hotel did offer us to move to another layout for the second night but by then it was more inconvenient to move all our stuff.

Friendly and helpful reception staff, nicely designed and decorated room, great bathroom, proper bunks in family room with a separating door. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff handled a busy morning well.

Bar and restaurant closed on Sunday. The bar and restaurant that were explicitly promoted in the checkin email I was sent! Had to go to the Westfield mall for food as no good options nearby. There seemed to be a skeleton staff on Sunday - the receptionist was great but clearly very busy. I heard three separate groups asking where they could get food / drinks and given the busy breakfast on Monday there were plenty of guests to justify at least one more employee to provide a minimal bar service.

The hotel is very well equipped with common space (large day living area, gym). Large rooms are great and offer a lot of comfort. However, the smaller rooms are really small and are fine just for sleeping and showering. The breakfast is great with a good selection (You do not find pancakes in hotel breakfasts very often); however, after a few days, you are a bit tired of the same food over and over.

Unfortunately, the hotel is right next to the highway, which makes it convenient to come from airport by bus but also there is constant noise and buzz from the highway.

This hotel offers excellent customer care and staff are very responsive to guest requests. My request for a late check out was granted because of my flight schedule. The hotel location is great — there is a restaurant just next door and a shop where you can pick up some groceries if needed. Breakfast offered is superb with plenty of variety. The room was clean, bed comfortable, water temperature good and towels sufficient. I enjoyed the sauna and gym. The hotel has a comfortable lounge with complimentary teas and coffees all day long. I noticed the lounge has a pool table for guests.

Just be aware that the small room is really tight if you are one who likes space to manoeuvre freely in the room. The photos showing the small room can be quite misleading— they give off an impression that the small room is bigger than actual from the angles they were taken. I had booked the small room (queen) but was upgraded freely to a standard twin room— which was great!

We love this hotel!! It has everything you need and want! Super friendly staff, delicious breakfast, clean and comfortable room and bed, nice kitchenette. The hotel is walking distance to Haga. A wonderful park by the water, with 2 cafe's and a small gift shop. The hotel is close to all transportation: buses, trains, tram. It's very convenient to go into the city! I love their living room, where you can relax and drink free coffee and tea.

The new pool table in the cozy living room, made it so noisy.. Very disappointing!!
