Really nice place. When I travel to Stockholm next time, I'll definitely check availability here. Everyone was super friendly, and the breakfast was really fantastic! Also, I found it neat that while I was informed at the reception that they don't have a freely accessible coffee machine and that I would have to buy one at the bar, at the bar they always offered me the coffee for free. Nice touch. Thank you!

The traffic outside the window was rather loud -- it wasn't so nice to keep the windows shut almost all the time to avoid noise. Quite a lot of construction taking place around the hotel currently too.

Really a very nice hotel next to the Brunnsviken lake, with its old-school charm, a welcoming staff and a good breakfast buffet. Happy with our stay there!

The location is not optimal. The connection with public transit could be better and the nearby roads are quite noisy. We had a road-side room, I guess you the experience is much better and nicer with a room giving on the courtyard...? It would be great if the hotel could provide some bikes for its visitors (like other hotels do), that would make things much more convenient.

We loved our stay at Stallmästaregården — a peaceful retreat perfectly located by the lake and Hagaparken, yet just minutes from central Stockholm. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and ideal for our family, including our 7-year-old daughter who adored exploring the nearby park. Breakfast was excellent, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt relaxed yet special. We’d happily return!

Since I write a lot of reviews, I concluded it would be easier if I just went with a standard template. To make reviews easier to read I will use a simple plus +/minus system and at the bottom I will add comments for things not included in the plus/minus. TLDR: + Good/- Bad, comments at the end What was Good: - Staff was great - Location was beautiful - Room was perfectly clean, spacious and tastefully decorated - Comfortable beds - Easy walk to many public transportation options - Only a few minutes via public transport to all the main attractions - Breakfast had good variety and was well stocked - Family room had two bathrooms Other Comments: We stayed in the Family Room/Junior Suite - Split Level which was two stories. The stairs are VERY steep so be warned if you have mobility issues, they would be a challenge.

- I lived in Europe for almost 12 years and have adjusted to the fact Europeans like scrambled eggs wetter than most Americans, but the scrambled eggs were like soup - Needs better lighting in the parking lot - Needs some kind of lines in the parking lot as jungle rules seemed to prevail - Surprisingly close to major road, we could hear cars from the second floor bedroom but did not find them intrusive. - Wi-Fi did not reach the second floor of our hotel room

Beautiful setting by the water front. Friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely building. Great breakfast. Comfortable bed.

Room was quite tight as perhaps too much furniture. Hairdryer was difficult to use, as had to hold the on button continuously. Had to ask for extra pillows as too soft, but they supplied straight away. Room was very hot and couldn't find a way to reduce temperature other than opening the window. No unit to adjust temperature.

This is an excellent hotel for people wanting to 'get away from it all' while still in a beautiful Swedish city. It's charming, historic, cool and unique in a gorgeous lakeside setting of its own. The rooms and facilities are pretty with some tasteful vintage furnishings, and all very light and comfortable. The common areas are cozy, and the views out of the many windows are lovely. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious, offering good quality hot and cold options - yes, we tried everything. But we must mention the fabulous dining -- it was outstanding. It was knock-your-socks-off quality and flavour. After our first dinner here we immediately re-booked for another dinner here our last night in Stockholm so that we could again experience the Swedish diced tenderloin, the meatballs, the duck liver terrine, and the caesar salad. A special mention to all the lovely staff throughout who made this a great experience. We will certainly return.

We loved everything.

We loved the proximity to the lake and ambience. It was fairly accessible to public transport after a short walk due to roadworks. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was amazing and even my vegan daughter was satisfied with what was available for her to eat.

Some maintenance in the bathroom But we reported that and I am sure it will Be fixed. The room was a little cramped with both of our luggage spread out but we managed.

The room was good with all the facilities I would expect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a good selection on its menu and the food was excellent. The hotel was next to a lovely lake and park which allowed us to take some beautiful walks. There is allocated parking too.

There was a lot of road work nearby which meant the hotel looked like it was in the middle of a building site. This isn't the hotel's fault, but it still has a busy road next to it.

Nice location to both city centre and nature and parks. Easy access around Stockholm by SL transportation app. The hotel has lots of character and charm.

It seemed to be in a need of a exterior upgrade. The inner garden was overgrown and could have been so much prettier and in more use. A little boring breakfast with the same everyday, but somerhing for everyone.

Really loved the breakfast at the hotel. Interior Design was also great for the price we paid. Loved the surroundings - in winter the lake freezes over and you can walk across it. Very easy to get to wherever in the city. Buses / metro to every island never more than 10 min walk away.

The hotel bar is biggest area of improvement. It was mostly un-manned, and we had to keep finding staff to order a drink. On a couple of occasions, our drinks never arrived as staff we ordered from were preoccupied with diners in the restaurant. If I had to be picky, it would be nice to have tea and coffee in the bedroom as had to keep asking front desk. Didn't impact our stay.
