The people at the reception were really friendly and helpful and so were the other tenants. The facilities were better than what I hoped for for a 2 night stay. I was travelling alone in Uppsala, so I got a 4 woman room, which I thought added to the overall comfortability. It also helped that the hostel is basically right at the city centre, being less than a kilometer from the station.

Nothing specific. I kind of wish there were more opportunities to socialise with other tenants, maybe in the lounge room or something (I say this completely out of habit from hostels I've stayed in before, I'm aware that this is not possible everywhere), but I don't think that's a requisite, especially since people probably want to wind down and rest after a long day :)

The single room was perfectly equipped for a solo guest, with a fridge, small desk and hanging space. Bed very comfy too and room perfect temperature for January. The property was extremely clean, and I was given the impression the bathrooms were cleaned very regularly. It’s not often that bathrooms do not smell like urine!

Not that it has anything to do with the hostel itself, but it was a little bit eerie as I felt like I was the only guest staying there. Maybe just an off peak thing. The kitchen was really well equipped although strange rules on not being able to cook fish or raw chicken? I understand the smell aspect maybe for fish but chicken?! What else is a traveller meant to cook?

Bathrooms were cleaned daily and you can find always clean. No urine smell. Rooms are okay. You can only eat in kitchen and kitchen is also clean. Can open the doors with your keycard. Oh and also washing machine and dryer costs like 60 sek (including soap).

You cant open the window all the way. It has a narrow opening. The seats in the kitchen are in bad shape and old. You cannot sit comfortably and the seats have a slight slope but thats okay. My clothes were in the dryer like 3h but were still damp when I took them out. I guess its not so good at drying thick clothes. But these are just nitpicking. Generally good, price/performance.

The staff was very accommodating with a late (1 am) check-in due to a late arriving flight. I was positively surprised by the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The rooms are small and simple, but completely adequate for the money. The location is very central, close to the train station and all central landmarks like the Domkyrka or the Botanical Garden. Bonus point for keeping our suitcases until 5 pm the next day, at no additional price, so we could explore the city on foot before heading out of Uppsala.

Great bang for the buck, and probably the friendliest hostel in Uppsala. It is clean, tidy and very calm. Stayed here 3 times over the years, and always seem to end up having the most interesting conversations with the guy running the place about the different curiosities in our respective countries (I'm a Swede who emigrated to Spain 16 years ago). The place is located right in the very middle of Uppsala putting it right next to restaurants, stores and "must see's". Next time I plan another visit to Uppsala this hostel will be on the very top of the list of places to stay.

As I'm not into inventing stuff for the sake of having something to write... Why do I have to write about stuff I didn't like, when everything met my expectations?

Straight away the reception personel is very friendly and helpful and makes everything very clear and easy for you to understand and enjoy. There's a large kitchen and an even larger lounge room to meet other guests and relax.

The windows need cleaning (it's probably a winter problem thing) and some toilets are out of service but nothing that can't be quickly fixed.

Easy check-in and plenty of bath rooms / showers, so no long queues.

Low bunk beds. Hit my head a few times.

Excellent location, great value for money. The room was small, basic but clean and comfortable and all you needed for a short stay. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Not a fault of the hostel but another guest set off the fire alarm at 07.00 in the morning. It was very loud and surely made you get out of bed.

Good central location. Very good value for money. Clean. The hostel seem to have been renovated since my last stay a few years ago, so the facilities were in good shape. I was given my room many hours before the official check-in time without extra charge. Soft bed and tv in the room.

Does not look very fancy at first sight, but has Super central location, is Very clean, quite and safe. Good quality internet. The Owner is very friendly and helpful. It is absolutely worth of the price.
