A very nice property in the swiss alps with Spa. During winter is a dream. We were assigned a wrong apartment, but then the staff helped us move and we received a proseco and desserts as an apology, which was very nice gesture. We had a great stay.

The spa could be opened more than just a few hours in the afternoon.

The staff was really friendly. The facility has a bus stop in front that allows to reach the slopes in 10 minutes. Sauna and swimming pool are perfect to rest at the end of the day. I also had the best Kaiserschmarrn of my life! Totally recommend this place, considering it is one of the few hotel in the area with honest prices.

Only small issue is that the room temperature was too high and we could not decrease it.

The property is fabulous. Amazing facilities. Staff were great. Made us feel at home from the first minute. Mario, the manager went out of his way to ensure we had the best of everything. Even let us stay an extra night, despite the hotel being closed. Can’t recommend Alpenlodge Val Gronda highly enough.

The apartment was huge, exactly what we needed with a small child and in the middle of the pandemic. Service was great, very accommodating to our needs. Staff was always super friendly and communication was swift. Food was much better than expected. Snow trekking paths go right by the hotel which was what we were looking for. Knowing Swiss prices, value for money was great.

The family apartments are not up to the same standard as the renovated parts of the hotel. I assume the hotel is slowly upgrading. We don't mind so it made for a solid value-for-money experience in our case.

Very charming and very relaxing. Not a large hotel, but it had the quality of bigger hotels.

The room was quite hot the first night and hard to sleep. We opened the windows the entire second day and slept quite well the second night. The double bed was pinned to the wall on one side, so the second person had to slide to the foot of the bed to get in and out of bed. Otherwise the bed was quite comfortable, good mattress.

Bathroom modern but lack of hooks to hang towels, clothes etc. odd shower changing rooms for the pool need hooks etc. not ideal for families

The Spa. The breakfast buffet. The staff and specially the very helpful Jacob and the kind breakfast staff.

How can you charge more than € 320 per night, off season, in a simple standard room with no vue, no fridge or coffee, with curtains so narrow that one meter is missing to block the light and then be told the housekeeping is only going to make my room every second day,,, cocktail drink was diluted. dinner was average. The management appears to be SO stingy! The feeling that they are « Milking the cow ». And the clients are the cows.
