We had some mix up with our dates but the staff accommodated us with great understanding and kindness. We got free upgrades and the breakfast spread was just wonderful with a variety of vegetarian options and fast self-serving systems. The rooms were simple and comfortable. What we loved the most was the view from our rooms and the windows that would open properly. We sat there often and for long periods of time looking at the Alps right opposite us.

The common kitchen/hangout area would benefit from some kitchenware.

The staff were friendly. Dinner was a hearty lasagna, which we really appreciated after a day of cycling. The dinner was reasonably priced by Swiss standards. We had a double and a single room. Both were clean and well-designed to make the best use of the space. Our beds were comfortable. There's secure bike parking.

It's up a pretty steep hill, which isn't ideal after a long day of cycling (especially when you are an out-of-shape prairie boy). However, we knew what we knew this in advance, so we had nothing to complain about!

That was one of the most unusual hotels we have ever stayed. It is run and looked after by the nuns. Don’t get me wrong, they are the most amazing people to have a conversation with. Alcohol is available instantly via a honesty scheme. There is a lovely communal lounge where we managed to watch the football and even ordered a takeaway. Stunning views. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

Top of the hill - a bit of a trek up but you get rewarded with great views and a massive welcome.

Spotlessly clean, everything in working order. Breakfast is amazing, better bread than Gail's :D Architecture is beautiful and there's always someone playing something beautiful on piano at lunch time. Nuns are cute. My room had beautiful views of ilanz and mountains.

A bit on the hill, but I knew that. A slight hiccup at check-in as the late check in code had a typo, but nuns fixed it fast.

Food was very good. Staff and nuns very helpful; at dinner the Reverend Mother (I assume) came and spoke to each guest about where they came from and whether everything was to their satisfaction. The single room was not luxurious but a decent size and fully functional. The shared toilet / shower was always vacant. Good value for money. The location was convenient for my purpose, close to public transport, with a nice view over the surrounding landscape.

The 15-minute walk up the hill from the station with a backpack after a long hot day's hike in the mountains, but then I knew that before I booked :)

Great, clean room with comfy bed, excellent shower and good wifi. Breakfast was vegetarian and good quality. Parking on the grounds of the convent - I could see my car from my room! The view over the local town and mountains is excellent.

The place is like a maze. I couldn't find an entrance. I had to ask four different sisters for directions and was still lost! Some signposts or directions to reception would make it easier, as not many of the sisters speak English. High price for the single room.

Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming staff, a number of nuns greeted you at meal times in a lovely way, all the facilities were spotless, located in a lovely location and the nearby town, Ilanz is very nice.

Nothing really. The only thing is if you are relying on public transport the local bus only runs once an hour (or at least this is the case after 5.30pm) - not that the convent can do much about this. I just thought I’d mention it!

Such a beautiful and calming place. The weather was terrible and the train very late, so next time I hope to have more time to enjoy.

Perhaps I didn't look carefully enoygh, but I believe the hours for the full board was provided when I arrived. It didn't actually matter because of the train, but I wasn't sure whether to eat before I arrived or not.

high over the valley, far from noise of the busy main road stands a piece of paradise. The room not too big, but with a good bath and a breathtaking view, a warm welcome by an elderly nun who shows you around,allover the atmosphere of piece and calm. beautiful, well kept gardens. A unique experience.

I wish I could stay longer

The rooms offered comfortable, basic accommodations. We were welcomed by name by several sisters, whose average age is 80 years old. They made us feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast and dinner were basic menus with drinks (wines or cokes) at extra cost.

We expected basic accommodations without television, etc., and the Kloster offered that.
