After having booked a room, we read many negative comments about the hotel such as the cleanliness and the staff, so we had many doubts, however, it was not at all what we had read about. We loved the location, in front of the boat port, a few minutes away is the bus stop as well. The staff was very friendly, the room was quite spacious, and the bed was very comfortable, and the views from the balcony were also very nice. Clearly, the hotel needs a reform, but our room was clean and nothing was broken.

The hotel is quite old and not so fancy, however majority of the hotels in this area are old. Rooms are ok for 3 stars. Breakfast could be better. But generally we like it because it was way cheaper than the surrounding facilities and satisfied our main criteria - excellent location with lake and Mountain View and good place to sleep. We didn’t expect much taking into account the price difference with other similar places. I read here that people were disturbed with a bell ringing all the time. Neither me nor my husband heard it at night or early morning. Maybe we were so tired and fell asleep very deep. Anyway I doubt that late evening and early morning someone will ring the church bell. Actually there is a church, but the sound is produced during the day and all area in few km radius can hear it, not only this hotel. Maybe it happens during the weekdays. We stayed got weekend only.

We could not find stuff on reception during checkout, we’re waiting for 30-40 min. Besides, we forgot one thing in the room and tried to call to the hotel to inform about it, but no one answered for long time, so we drove back because we’re afraid it would be lost later.

The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking Lake Luzern and the terminal for the boats that tour the lake. Our room had a small balcony and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We booked an inclusive breakfast rate, which was worth the money as there was a good choice, nicely laid out with attentive staff. Staff were very helpful on reception too. The hotel has its own carpark on the upper story, with a lift back down into the hotel. The pool and spa facilities were an added bonus. Weggis is a very pretty location by the lake with a couple of supermarkets and several cafes and restaurants. You could easily catch a boat to the city of Luzern, rather than drive.

It was not clear from Booking.com that it was an additional 15CHF to park your car. There was absolutely no information in the room about anything - meals/facilities etc. Whilst one receptionist said there was an evening meal available it then appeared that both restaurants were currently "in hibernation" - again not made clear at the time of booking. The bathroom was immaculate but had a glass wall/door, made worse by a large mirror on the wall opposite. All very disconcerting and you needed to know your room-mate well! Also, what is it about Europe and bath/sink plugs?! Neither seemed to work which made having a bath impossible. The decor in the hotel is rather bizarre and dated - not very Swiss at all.

The location of this hotel is fantastic and the room had a great view over the lake. I enjoyed the balcony. The rooms were big enough and the lobby was very impressive

I could feel the springs in the mattress of the bed. I was really hoping for a morning swim and sauna before my big day at work but the facility does not open until 10am so I did not get a chance to use these facilities.

The property is at a great location, right by the lake next to the ferry station. Rooms have a balcony overlooking the Lucerne Lake. Room size is big enough for two people. We asked to add a baby cot for our 1,5 year old. The property provided the cot without any extra cost. With the baby the room was a bit tight but still sufficiently big for a short stay. A very good breakfast was available at the property. There was a good variety and plenty of food. Staff was also very kind and helpful.

The only issue we have encountered was that there was no ventilation in the bathroom. Therefore the smell and humidity in the bathroom was hard to get rid of. I think a hotel of this caliber should sort this ventilation issue out.

The location is amazing. The price was also brilliant for the location and the facilities were great for the price. The spa and gym really are great.

Room smelled of cigarettes when we checked in, there are signs telling people to smoke outside and close the door, but smokers tend to be selfish so appreciate this is difficult to police. There is no AC, In summer one would want to sleep with the window open, but people drinking outside in the bar made this impossible until they got bored at maybe 2am.

The room was luxury and the hotel is located in the most delightful part of Weggis. We were fortunate to have a balcony overlooking the lake and ferries. Magical! We were located close to restaurants and attractions such as the bandstand where local musical groups played. The staff were wonderful and took great care to ensure we loved every minute of our stay. A fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Luzern!

Nothing! This was fabulous place to stay!

The location is wonderful. The view is like out of a painting. If you have a car its 30 min drive from Luzern. But it's absolutely worth it to escape the city's noises. If you don't have a car you can travel by boat from and to Luzern you just need to calculate the timing because the last boat from Luzern is at 7 pm . But you must always check depending on the day you travel. The hotel is clean and has all the amenities as parking,pool, and spa. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was abundant .

Nice hotel, great location, amazing views. The swimming pool was fantastic, views from the balcony stunning. Breakfast was plentiful. Parking secure. Staff were nice and fluent in English. WiFi was fast. The only difference between the types of room (we had booked two rooms) was that one had air conditioning and was on a higher floor. Price was good value (remember it is Switzerland). We enjoyed the stay for our family of four. Genuinely worth it and lovely place.

The hotel is nicely located at the lake and the view from the balcony is beautiful. Personally, we found the room cozy and everything was clean. The garage can be easily reached from the reception.

I simply cannot understand why some hotels think it’s posh to have sliding glass doors to the bathroom which do not even close entirely. At least there was an additional curtain; otherwise you can watch yourselves sitting on the pott - and your company as well. 🫢
