The location is good. It is on a busy street, but I was able to sleep just fine. Walking distance to a large night market, shops, the beach, and there is a nice bicycle rental shop just down the street. The room is large and comfortable, well light, with big windows. They have a clothes washer available and line dry. Very friendly staff. I’m vegan and they did a good job of modifying the breakfast for me. I appreciated that. The place felt safe and clean so for a budget hotel this is a good stay.

The only negative is that the listing said free parking included, but it’s street parking with a small city fee.

the stay was amazing, the place is extremely near the seaside and i was able to catch an extremely beautiful sunset with just a 2mins walk to the beach. With dongdamen night market as the only night market in hualian, its only around 8mins walk towards there which makes it so much easier for me to get dinner too. While, clean facilities is the most important factor when choosing a place to stay for me and i think they well in this area too bcos it was a very comfortable and clean stay overall. This would definitely be my first go-to option if i ever return to hualien for the second time!

We had a room with Seaview and the night market is only 5 minutes walk away. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the reception was very helpful. The hotel is about 5 minutes drive away from the train station, too far to walk but you can take a taxi for around TWD 110 to get to the property.

You need a car to move around the area.

The rooms are clean and there is a lift so easy to access. There is a nice roof top to relax but has not been cleaned

There is no ledge to put toiletries in the bathing area and no charging at the desk

Give this place a try,and you’ll get to experience what a real shower feels like. It’s like having a cleansing ritual underneath the waterfall. 10/10 would book again. On top of that, it is pet friendly, my Maltese babies loved it.

Room could use dehumidifier during rainy season, need to add screen to the bathroom window which could prevent mosquitos from flying into the room, fill the crack at the bottom of the shower door so that the water doesn’t seep through the gap and flood the washroom.

Excellent location and friendly and helpful staff. Love that the place is also pet friendly and right by the waters. We can hear the waves from our room.
