the best hostel in whole Taiwan!! very friendly and helpful staff, great location (right across the train station, but quiet; a cool coffee place right below the hostel), awesome room (spacious, clean, perfectly equipped) everything was perfect

Positive, welcoming staff, knowledgeable, interested and helpful. Location just a walk across the square outside Hualien station. Bus to Taroko Gorge leaves from the bus station on the same square. Very convenient. They have free bikes, you can cycle around Hualien in no time. Single room on the 8th floor had a huge bathroom with shower, bunkbed accessible by built stair/wooden levels(!) small window from the bedside towards cityview, room under the bunkbed big enough to place your own bike if you brought one.TV. Lounge/ desk one floor up from street level with lots of windows towards the outside, big space and places to sit alone or mix with others. Simple brakfast toast with cheese and ham. Free coffee and tea. Ramen/ snacks/ drinks for sale. Great place.

The location was really near hualien station (it was only 3 min walk) and very close to the main bus station which have various buses that can take you go around hualien. The room, public kitchen, toilet, and bathroom are really clean and well maintained, the work space was really cozy, and the hostel was so kind to provide free coffee, tea, milk tea, and a decent toast for the breakfast.

I think it would be better if the hostel obliged the residents to leave their shoes out of the bedroom to avoid unpleasant smell from the shoes and sock and they can only wear sandals inside of the room

It's a stone throw distance to Hualien TRA and Bus Station. I stayed here for 2 nights in a double bed private room and it is totally incredible! The toilet comes with a bidet and the hotel provide 50TWD breakfast for restaurant/ 7-11 nearby. They themselves also provide free basic breakfast in the morning. They allow us to borrow extra pillow and the staffs are very accommodative in attending our requests. There are laundry machines (washer and dryer 40TWD each for 40 minutes, 10TWD for detergent). The environment is so clean, proper and awesome. Wish I could stay longer! Forget about other place in Hualien, just stay here if you're travelling alone/pair.

Located directly at the train/bus station with many scooter rental places around. Curtains covering the bed. Washing machines available. Free coffee and tea. Extra bathrooms on each level.

The upper beds in the dorm share a ladder and it's super slippery when you wear socks. I actually fell down once, luckily, I didn't get injured. There is a bathroom in the dorm which I think is not necessary and takes away space. When all beds are occupied, there is not a lot of space.

Location was amazing, just about 3 mins walk off the Hua Lien train station! There are many shops around it like 7-11, some eateries and even a bus station nearby. Check in is quick and hassle-free, you can store your luggage near the reception area and there is a big resting area near it too. We will definitely be booking this place when we are back!

Would be more ideal if they have added some shelves to put our toiletries in the showering area.

I booked the 3-bunk beds dorm room for our group. Normally its hard to find a room with 3 separate beds that's why I'm very impressed. Each bunk bed is very spacious and has blackout curtains. The beds dont creak or make any sound that will wake up the one occupying the the bottom bed. The upper beds have stairs, not ladder. Overall i was very happy with our stay. We also had a simple breakfast and i really liked their peanut butter. The location is just very near hualien station, so if you booked some tours, you can just see the meet up location across the street. You can basically leave the hostel 5 minutes before the meet up time. Highly recommended.

Location was great, right outside the train and bus station so super easy to get around. Staff were very helpful. Big beds in the dorm with curtains and nice duvets/pillows. Lots of leaflets, bus maps in reception to make the most out of your stay. Very cheap laundry and nice social areas and great kitchenette. Shower pressure was good! Areas were very clean throughout. Good storage for bags in the room and bathrooms were massive.

Not a social hostel with most guests being Taiwanese families & friends visiting Hualien, so no social events so didn't meet anyone during my stay. Breakfast wasn't too great, no cereal just bread and toppings (not to my taste). Area around the hostel (apart from the stations) there isn't alot to do and you'll need to get a bus or walk 20-30 minutes to go to the market/go down towards the Harbour.

The hostel is amazing with everything one might need. Our main purpose was to visit the Taroko Gorge and the location was perfect, just across the train station (literally 2-3 mins walking) and on the right side from hostel entrance was an amazing scooter rent. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the common area was great. The beds were comfy and really big and each bed had a storage place on the side. Our dorm also had a bathroom, which was very convenient and there were also showers and toilets on each floor in case yours is occupied. The included breakfast was simple but yet delicious.

Stayed for a night before starting a bike ride. Very conveniently located, basically across the street from the train station and down the street from Giant. Beds in the shared room I stayed in were pretty private and the room had its own bathroom. I had the top bunk and had enough headroom to stand up which was amazing. There was a locker next to the bed that opened via keycard and a large surface to put your things on. Wifi was fast — there was at least one router on each floor :)

Breakfast was basically just bread with sliced ham/cheese or spreads but it was free.
