Everything! The outdoor pool was large and spacious. It’s not heated but with the outdoor temperature at 20s and sunny it was nice and refreshing. They always had someone at the pool acting as lifeguard whenever someone goes to the pool area. The sauna was totally unexpected, it’s like a Japanese onsen with hot and cold pool, dry sauna and a stream room. It’s large and feels more like a Spa. They have separate ones for men and women. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. Chinese, Japanese, Korean and western food with lots of choices. Location is great. Walking distance to some of the historical sites and night markets. Lots of local food options.

Stayed one night for work, but brought my family to stay at Lakeshore. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Tainan near other main hotels and the department store yet the environment remained quiet and comfortable. Having facilities like the swimming pool and spa made my short business trip feel like a short family vacation. My son loved playing in the pool and the staff there were very nice waiting with him while my wife was in the women’s only room getting ready. The room itself was cozy as it was very easy to hold my online meetings there. The curtains kept the room nice and dark, making it very comfortable to sleep in. The doormen and front desk were very helpful, as we never had any issue getting a taxi quickly. Lastly the breakfast buffet was delicious and provided a large assortment of dishes that would suit any taste.

We had a suite - bathroom and changing room / coffee, fridge safe, etc were separated by doors, with a sitting room and bedroom. Super nice for us after a series of other stays. Pool and full service sauna ( dry, wet, hot and cold pools)

We disliked the restaurant for breakfast . ( Did not experience other times of day)There was a great variety, but the food was just aberage, previous hotels on our journey had better food. The serving stations were easily congested and the staff circled like sharks to remove dishes from tables. Not a very relaxing way to start the day

Location is good. Just walking distance to the art museum and Confucius Temple. There are multiple other places of interest to walk to. You can easily get short taxi rides to restaurants, etc. the breakfast spread is good. I did not get a chance to use the sauna or swimming pool. The rooms were big. We visited the Taijiang National Park. We booked the taxi at 600 Taiwan dollars per hour.

Good hotel. Family room had a nice set up. Seats in the foyer to get work done when others are asleep in room. Good Wi-Fi. Good curtains. Good buffet. Very central to food shops, Confucius temple, Chihkan Tower, Exhibition Hall2. Direct bus to Anping takes ½ hour. To get to and from Tainan high speed rail station, take the HSR shuttle bus between station and Siaosimen stop. It's not on Google/Apple Maps. Check the en.thsrc.com.tw site. To get to/from Tainan train station, I used the Tainan City bus Blue Line (蓝线) from the Xiaoximen (Fuqian Rd) Stop. There's a back route to that stop, going past a small temple. The surrounding area is quite active and lighted at night: e.g. nice walking route around the Confucius Temple. And markets along Bao'an Road. Worth a walk in the evenings.

The breakfast was not continental. It was all local food, nothing for people who would want to enjoy a more continental style breakfast. Very limited Also, we requested a special treatment for our anniversary, and they gave us one Pellegrino water bottle.. that’s it. The last 5 years we’ve been going to Shangrila for our anniversary and they always great us with a bowl of fruit, drinks and chocolate. We are antes to try something new and different, and it was underwhelming

The hotel is lovely and the facilities are excellent. There is a great variety of food for breakfast. The beds were very comfy. The reception staff, particularly Katie, were very helpful.

Consider spreading out guests at breakfast a little more when it is not so busy. I went to the 6:30am session and even though there were only a few guests at the time, we were sitting very close to each other.

The hotel has a great location, close to both the train station and the main attractions (if one excludes Anping). The sauna/onsen is very modern and pleasant. Although the breakfast does not change daily, the offer is so broad (and of high quality) that one can always find something nice to eat.

Unfortunately the pool was closed for all three days of my stay, which was rather disappointing.

We enjoyed the central location of the hotel as well as the impressive breakfast. Make sure to book the breakfast as you would really miss out on trying a lot of chinese foods. There is also a small cheese platter and some bread with jam for us westerners.

The cleanliness of the rooms was not 100%. In the corners is a lot of dust and we found a lot of long black hair (we are both blonde) on the floor of the room.

fantastic staff and location. Just 5 min walk to many famouse smll eateries and Tainan food street. also close to some key tourist attractions. we stayed for 3nites. I left behind an item and the hotel was quick to respond to my search. They found the item and confirmed with pics. delivered the item to Taipei for me. Extremely helpful and patient staff.
