Everything is good about this property. All of the staff were very welcoming, always greeting us, helpful especially when we have questions about travelling to places, food recommendations etc. they were always fluent in English so it makes it easier to communicate. The breakfast they provided gave me a home cooked feel and it’s different everyday. Also, Energy Inn was able to help me get pineapple tarts from Chia Te and got it delivered to the hotel the next day. It was a big plus as I didn’t need to travel down specifically for the souvenirs. The room was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay here and will be doing so for my next visit!

Ideally located in a quiet alley a couple of blocks from the lively Ximending night market. The area is very walkable and safe. The hotel is trying really hard to appeal to travelers. Small things stand out, like the luggage scale in the lobby and various informational notices in the elevator. It was refreshingly different from the large chain hotels.

Breakfast is pre-ordered each day and there are only two choices to choose from. It was OK, but nothing to write home about. I wish there was more fruit options to choose from.

We felt completely relaxed and taken care of by the kind reception staff, attentive cleaning staff, and the lovely breakfast staff. The whole team works as a single, friendly unit to ensure things go smoothly for guests. Anything you need help or advice with, they go the extra mile to ensure you have it. All floors are accessible by elevator or stairs. The hotel / hotel / inn leads right into a side street that connects to the broader Ximen district and MRT station within minutes. There are many food options around, from vegetarian, street food, hot pot, healthy foods, etc. The breakfast is phenomenal and healthy with the option of either Chinese or western food each day. The rooms are spacious (we had a normal double room). The inn welcomes families, couples, and groups of friends it seems like. You will be glad to choose this delightful spot while in Taiwan.

Despite the ample AC it is a bit humid in the rooms for a few short moments prior to turning on the system. This is true for most places in Taiwan though. Just embrace it :)

unexpected find. good location with supper options around. free toiletries were of good quality. an ikea cot was provided as requested and swapped to a floor bed when we found our toddler too big for the cot. cot came w pillow and kids comforter. also provided a small stool and bathtub for babies/toddlers. staff were accommodating to our requests and one went the extra mile to help search for activities for my kid on a rainy day in taipei. one of our deluxe double room came with a bathtub which was a surprise.

not right smack in the middle of xmd, but it’s really just 5 mins away and that could be a plus too.

Everything is excellent! Food is good, staff is very nice, they will help you with the direction to the place that you want to visit. They clean the room everyday. They even have a surprise gift for me on my birthday. Thank you Energy Inn looking forward to stay with you again on my next visit.😊❤️

Actually the thing that I noticed is you will here the voice of people talking outside the room because the wall is not sound proof, but it’s okay nothing to worry.☺️

Although it is located in Ximending which is known for being busy, the hotel is tucked back in a side street away from all the noise. It is a 10 minute walk to the Ximen metro station exit 6 and has everything you would want within a block (restaurants, convenient stores, coffee shops, shopping and street food). This was THE BEST experience we have ever had with the staff at a hotel. They are kind, caring, really care about your convenience. The hotel is clean, room was pretty spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is roomy with a Japanese toilet (will miss the heated seat), shower has plenty of hot water with good pressure. The bed is a bit firm but only if you have an issue with your back. The breakfast was AMAZING. we could not get over the options and the portions. There is laundry on site, a small kitchen in the common area and plenty of drink options in the morning. We will definitely come back and stay at this hotel. Normally we would not want to be in the middle of action but this hotel just has too many positives for us to go somewhere else. HIGHLY SUGGEST.

Nothing. Loved everything

The breakfast are rotated daily (seems like a 5 days cycle as we only encountered 1 repeat during our 6 nights there). In case if you’re a big eater, you can ask for seconds (but sparingly). Our family are good with normal portion so didn’t needed seconds. The kids absolutely loved the square bathtub! After all these years (the last time I was in Taipei was in 2016), I must say they maintained it very well. They installed a Japanese style bidet which is absolutely gorgeous. Cleans well and saves toilet paper.

The walls are not sound proof so bring screaming kids at your own risk (this can probably be mitigated by letting them watch cartoon on Cartoon Network or boomerage).

This was a great hotel! It's in a quiet alley close to the Ximen MRT stop, and convenient for walking around all the stalls and shops that open in the evenings in Ximending. Lots of useful amenities like a selection of delicious fresh cooked breakfast every morning (either Western style or Taiwanese dishes), A/C, WiFi, laundry, and a kitchen area for guests to use. Everyone at the front desk and cafe were helpful and friendly, and our room was comfortable and clean. The rooms have a conservation theme - ours was about a native species of cat in Taiwan. If we're ever back in Taipei we'd definitely stay here again.

The location was excellent, the staff were helpful and quickly booked me a bed in a dorm when my daughter decided to join us. The room was good value and very comfortable.

The property is amazing! The room is tastefully decorated and it’s warm in winter! Decent supplies of tea and coffee in the room and good sized soap hehe. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The claw machine in the lobby is the best!

The breakfast was delicious! The only problem is that the portion size could be larger😅.
