The hostel and room had everything I needed because I mainly wanted a cheap and central place to sleep and store my luggage, but explore the city / island during the days. The room was tiny but met my requirements. I was positively surprised how little noise I heard from the street and the neighbour rooms. The room and the shared bathroom were clean. The latter was well equipped with soap, shampoo, hair dryer etc.. There were drinking water dispensers, a fridge to store food and kitchen area (roof terrace). Luggage could be stored before check-in and after check-out. There were washing machines and dryers (and a commercial coin laundry next door).

The room window could not be opened. Thus the feeling of real airing was not possible and the room sometimes seemed a bit stinky because of that. However, there was internal ventilation with a fan and the aircondition. If you plan to enjoy time in the common area of the hostel, make sure to pick the right time of year. In July, when I stayed there, the common space on the (open but covered) roof top was even hotter than the streets. So it is almost impossible to spend some longer time there.

The staff in here was amazing. My room had a problem with lights (they went on and off in the middle of the night) but next morning when I talked with them they promised to fix it and so they did. Also everything was surprisingly clean!

One annoyance was that I was accommodated on the second floor but all the facilities for men were on the third floor. Also the room was very moist and you could smell the possible mould too. This might be a standard issue in Taiwan though since the climate is unbelievably steamy.

location is very good, it's my first time to booked a hotel in Ximen, it's so convenient all you need is near the hotel. our hotel is located outside the reception lobby, and it's a good way if want privacy

we booked quadruple type of room and it's enough if you don't have big luggage's, just bring hand carry luggage if you want this type of room. during our stay we heard a loud shouting outside I think it's the local people fighting for something. and the towel is over used, it needs to be replaced just to be presentable.

What a hidden gem ColorMix is!! Great location - near enough to Ximen nightlife without being bothered by it, shops and services in the immediate area. Attentive owner & staff with good English. Quiet enough, fully-featured compact room with fridge and comfortable bed/pillows, on-site kitchenette & coin laundry - see Reception for coin change. TV in room with decent choice of local channels, including a couple of English (US) ones.

Umm... not much to not like. Oh, I couldn't stay on my return because it was booked out! Ok, the room could be more spacious ..but it would be more expensive. Also, my room could've faced a direction other than east, so the morning sun didn't heat up the BIG WINDOW. ..but that's unreasonable. I'm struggling to find things to not like!

Location is a few minutes walk from Ximending Night Market and Ximen exit 6 near, had minimal interaction with the staff aside from when i left my luggage, check in and check out, the shower area and comfort room are always clean. My room (10) was in front of the shower are and comfort room which is very nice, easily accessible when needed, there's available water dispenser. There's no window but still comfortable and minimal noise can be heard once the door is closed (only noisy when there's people just outside the door which rarely happened when I was there only when they're cleaning).

Our flight delayed 3hrs. The check in counter texted us a warm regards. Appreciate that. The staff and boss provide us a lot advice and solution during the stay of us at Taipei. 24hrs security provided... this is awesome for us. Strategy location, just less than 5 mins walk from the busier area but quiet during the sleeping hr.

My room air conditioner not really working.... I hope can do regular service and maintenance, this is simple provision as a hotel/hostel service provider.

The property is near the station. They have room service.

Not totally don’t like. But maybe i would suggest to make the single room loft style. Cause the space too narrow. I had 1 medium luggage and its kinda hard to move around once i opened it. Also, maybe can issue 2 cards? its a hassle to remove the card everytime needs to go toilet. But ideal if solo traveller that wants solo room.

The location is at the center of Ximending area. It is 5mins walk to Ximen MRT Station. AC was cold and nice. They have hot and cold shower. Mini fridge is available and a safety box. A lot of restaurants, tea shops and convenience stores around the area.

TV is not a smart TV and no Netflix/YT. But TV has cable but most channels are in Chinese and only 2-3 channels are in English.

Really neat place to stay! Convenient location and decent prices! The room is quite spacious compared to similar places in the area. Bathrooms are locked by keycards, and only males who booked the room can open male bathroom, and vice versa for females - very secure and safe spaces! Clean rooms, close location to Ximen MRT. Sadly I forgot to take any photos or video of the place, but it was really good!!

The hallways have random changes in elevations, and it can be a little surprising to drop down suddenly as they’re not noticeable with the carpets, but otherwise, nothing else bad.

Great location close to restaurants and the subway stop. The rooms and the common bathrooms were clean.

There was a weird smell in two of the three rooms I have stayed in. If you’re unlucky your room is not on the same floor as the bathrooms for your gender as each floor is dedicated to one gender. Also, if your room is next to the bathroom you will clearly hear the water running from bathroom.
