Great location is very convenient that made our stay easy & hassle free. Room is clean as well

We didn't like the fact that we could hear our neighbour snoring, talking, coughing, etc and so I believed the room was not sound proof. That was disturbing.

Location was the best thing about the hotel. The rooms did their job. We had unlimited access to snacks and drinks at the lobby. Internet wifi was great.

We booked 3 rooms, and what we've noticed is that the floors of the hotel weren't even. There were lots of inclines and declines. It was also a challenge going in and out of the bathrooms (like using a stairmaster). The beds were not that great either.

Great location on the 12th floor of the Uniqlo building at Ximen. Just a short walk from Ximen MRT exit 6 which is great especially when you are tired from all the walking. Free snacks, cold drinks and instant noodles (after 9pm). Room had a great view!

Room was on the small side and there was no place to sit and eat except for a single chair in the room. There was also an unknown insect that appeared in the middle of the night. There is a step down to access the room after entering so need to be careful. It is probably not unique to Sky Gate Hotel but toilet paper needs to be thrown in the trash bin as it cannot be flushed, took some getting used to.

It was right in the middle of Ximending. There was no resto but complementary snacks were available in the lobby

The elevator takes a while sometimes as it is a shared building w/ other stores/restos. 13th floor uses another elevator so avoid staying here

I love this newly opened hotel. I like how the room was kept tidy (especially the bathroom), the way they replenish bath towels everyday without having to ask for it, and I particularly appreciate the location of the hotel — its close proximity to the MRT & bus station and the variety of stores and restaurants surrounding it. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay.

There was nothing blatantly unpleasant about it. I just wish there was luggage rack and possibly a bidet in the rest room.

Located is very good and the drink/snack bar was bonus. Love their latte for daily morning and evening timeout. Nice.

I love the location as it is situated in the heart of Ximending. Below the building is Uniqlo which makes it easy to find. Just a few steps from it is 7/11 and Starbucks which is convenient for quick bites. Aside from that, there is also an array of food stalls, including the famous Scallion Pancake. Although the hotel is on the 12th floor, it was not an issue as the same building houses Mala Hotpot (a highly-recommended hotpot place by tourists and locals alike), ABC Mart, a cinema, and other restaurants. It makes dining, shopping, etc hassle-free. The hotel also offers free snacks and unlimited drinks by the front desk for the guests which was a plus for me. As of the room, it has all the basic amenities needed for a simple and comfortable stay. Above all, the staff are very accommodating and helpful especially the front desk named Jerry. Kudos to him.

The of the room is a bit small which makes it a challenge to open medium and large luggages on the floor. The twin room also does not have a chair for the desk which would have been helpful/useful for remote working.

The hotel was accessible and conveniently located near most tourist spots in Taipei. It was within walking distance to Ximen Station and close to several bus stops. We had no issues using the elevator during our stay. Our room was cozy and clean. Since the weather was cold, we didn’t even need to turn on the air conditioner. The toilet was very clean, and the cleaner was respectful and trustworthy when we requested room cleaning. Lastly, the staff were very helpful and kind! They responded promptly to our queries as well.

Toothbrush and toothpaste were not included in the amenities, so you should consider bringing your own personal oral hygiene items. There was no laundry area in the hotel, but they suggested a nearby laundry shop. Just ask the staff, and they will assist you. 😊

This hotel really impressed me. The location is incredibly convenient - just a 3-minute walk from Ximen MRT station and right around the corner from several bus stops, making it easy to get anywhere in Taipei within 20 minutes. The staff was very kind, responsive, and attentive, always ready to help and genuinely welcoming. I also appreciated the free snacks and drinks available in the lobby pantry, which was a nice extra touch. The rooms were very clean, with daily housekeeping between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm. The schedule was great because it allowed for a more relaxed morning while still ensuring the room was tidied up during the day. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Between the location, cleanliness, service, and little perks, it’s a smart choice for anyone visiting Taipei.

Nothing major, but worth noting: * Because the building is older, toilet paper can’t be flushed and must be disposed of in a bin. However, the bin is emptied daily by housekeeping, so it’s well managed and never a problem. You get quickly used to this. * The elevator can be a bit slow, as it's shared with a movie theater, restaurant, and clothing shop in the same building. It’s not ideal during busy times, but manageable. Despite these small issues, I’d definitely stay here again. The overall experience was comfortable, convenient, and truly great value.

Located at ximending night market, very convenient, the staff are very friendly. Will suggest this place dan high recommended.
