I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Backpackers Hostel in Ximending, Taipei. The location was unbeatable, right in the heart of the vibrant Ximending district, making it easy to explore local shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips and ensuring a comfortable stay. The hostel itself was clean and well-maintained and the rooms have its own comfort room.

the air conditioning in my room was not very effective, making it a bit stuffy.

The room I stayed in had its own bathroom and the facilities provided downstairs were pretty nice.

Curtains for the beds could use replacement. There is also no soundproofing so I once woke up in the middle of the night because a group of men in the next room came back and they were talking. It sounded like they were in the same room.

A busy tourist area. Many, many shops and restaurants. Great local food restaurants and vendors!! Several cinemas close. Nice walks to the river, main station, and several big parks. Close to metro.

The facility has multiple floors and no elevator. The common area is the basement and there is no kitchen, only microwave and hot water. Small room, no room for luggage. The bottom beds were on the floor so not even storage under the bed.

The bed was comfortable, providing a restful sleep after a long day of exploration. The linens were clean and fresh, giving me the feeling of being wrapped in a warm embrace.

The staff were all accommodating, nice and helpful. answered all my queries before arriving, helped us booked taxi service from the airport and going to the airport again. Booked our entire stay in Taipei here at backpackers hostel. .me and my son have our own room with private bathroom. Clean, well lit, AC temperature is just right. The place is really convenient, walking distance to Ximending shopping district and the train station. My son also loved it here. Hostel is complete with appliances at their lounge area. we got to hang out at the lounge every morning before we start our day. Eat bfast/lunch even dinner when we decided to buy food and just stay at the hostel. Will definitely booked backpackers again when I travel back to Taipei! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

While the lack of an elevator at this backpackers hostel can be inconvenient for those with heavy luggage, personally, I don't mind it at all. The hassle of navigating stairs is outweighed by other positive aspects, making it a manageable compromise for a short stay.

The room was clean and the location is close to bus and train stations, and very easy to find. I just had a one night stay and it was good for its price,, they also had me checked in an hour earlier before the check in time, check in and check out process was very simple too. Would definitely book again should be given the time to comeback in taipei. The facilities are also clean.

Excellent staff, very helpful. Clean and the SHOWER IS THE BEST IVE EVER HAD in my entire life! All Good, recommended highly. Location is exceptional.

A Little noise in the morning from the cleaner and also at night from guests walking up the stairs to their rooms, but they do give free earplugs and the noise is not a show stopper.

We booked the room to put our luggage and let the two grandfathers rest due to flight delays. The room was surprising clean, spacious and very comfortable to stay in! Very pleasant with the room they gave us - 4 person bunk bed. This allowed the grandmothers to go take a break too while we shop.

No lift.. so lugging the luggage up is quite a workout.

Beds were super comfortable, bathrooms and common spaces were always kept clean and the staff always tried their best to help me out.

The common space wasn't super comfortable or inviting, but that's a minor thing.
