I love how they kept our room neat and clean everyday. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a few steps away from American street and bustling Ximending District. Breakfast with a view is SUPERB!

The location was okay but not great, reasonably close to the Ximending shopping and food area. The room was as expected. Very clean room and common areas, nice Toto toilet/bidet.

This is a tired hotel with good bones but in need of a refit. The bed was absolutely dreadful, and the carpet was worn, but everything was certainly functional.

Area is quite although is located next to the road bridge ..

The sound proofing from room to room is horrible as you can hear the room next to you flushes the toilet at any point of time especially in the middle of the night ..

The hotel staff is very service oriented and they paid attention to make sure that the hotel stay was comfortable and fuss free. As it was our honeymoon trip to Taiwan, they made preparations for us such that we feel very welcomed and happy to stay with the hotel. I will surely go there again next time. Hotel room was also furnished with a bathtub that is very therapeutic after a long day of walking. As the hotel is some walk away from ximending, they have shuttle service hourly to send us to the mrt, that's really a bonus. Luggage storage and the bellboy were also a great help when we stayed this time. Keep it up Riverview hotel!

Place was in an area that was quite rundown and hotel was not 4 stars as advertised

The place was not in the busy and loud area of ximen night market, yet also close enough that’s it gives you easy access to the touristy area. The receptionists were all nice. The breakfast was pretty decent as well. The view of the river was really good from the 12th floor where bfast is served :) Do note that the hotel is really old.

I think the staff receptionist at the breakfast buffet was too serious. No one greets you or says hello. Also, maybe it scrambled eggs is a better option to boiled eggs

The bed was comfortable, they clean our room daily. Free bottled water, coffee and toiletress. The breakfast offers different food to choose from (chinese food).

The distance from ximen station (subway) is a bit far. No food outlets nearby.. The ceiling near the door needs repair. Poor internet.

It's a very cozy place that is very close to the main attractions and places to see in Taipei. We all had a very comfortable sleep and the room was maintained clean by the staff. The staff were also very friendly and accommodated our requests. Such a memorable experience staying at the Hotel Riverview in Taipei!

As far as our stay in the hotel is concerned, there was nothing that i didn't like. Everything was truly commendable.

A room of one's own. The size of the room. The kettle with the shortest lead I have ever seen and it worked. All around a good and quiet stay. Comfy pillows. Nice desk Got the bible and some other wisdom book. Different cultural insights. Quirky breakfast but got a lot of food (see below)

Breakfast was takeaway style, delivered in a bag to my room, so no going to breakfast experience. BUT I got three meals out of it so I cannot complain. They gave me two teas. That was nice indeed.

It’s a dated hotel but nonetheless clean & relatively good. Although the wifi wasn’t working at the start, the staff were very helpful to get it fixed by the next day. It is somewhat of a walk to the hotel as its near the bridge at the end nearer to the highway

Quite dated, not many facilities, eg no laundromat. Had to walk a distance to find it initially.
