Beautiful hotel and facilities. The food was really good with many options. The staff was friendly. I would definitely come back.

The noise from construction was really bad from 8 am till around 7pm everyday and was 7 days we were not feeling well for 2 days no rest in the room. Room 1406 had a really bad mouldy smell which I complained about an hour after checking in. I asked for another room which never was allocated yet guests were checking in and out every day they didn't care. The shower entrance had 2 large loose and broken tiles which needed to be replaced as when you step out of the shower it is uneven and shaky. There are mold patch on the ceiling above the Aircon vent maybe a leak hence the mold smell.They Definitely shouldn't book out certain rooms to guests if maintenance is not done as the hotel is a premium price.I did tell them about these issues early during our stay yet they left us in the room.

Great location on a beautiful beach. Pool selection was great - as a couple meant we could avoid kids. Staff were excellent across every bar, restaurant and dive center. The room was amazing- we ended up getting an end room with sea view and it was perfect - very clean and large. The buffer restaurant has lots.of options, but became overwhelming, and the quality of the food wasn't always guaranteed. Italian restaurant was fantastic - can't compliment it enough, staff were great, view was amazing.

Airport isn't an hour as advertised - its closer to 90 minutes due to traffic. After a long day travelling, all we could think of was to get to the resort and the extra 30 minutes dragged on. Food options were limited to book only. This meant it was nearly impossible to get a reservation in the restaurants outside of the buffet. The resort is always very expensive - we only booked the hotel and it worked out at close to $600 a night.

This resort is absolutely amazing and has everything you need for a great holiday. You wouldn't even need to book any tours if you stay here as they keep you fed, entertained and comfortable every second of the day. The staff is so friendly and there is so much to do. 4 swimming pools, 4 restaurants, 5 bars and endless entertainment that is all provided on the RIU app. There is a wide spread of food at the main restaurant and three other restaurants that you can make a reservation at. The views are breath-taking and the resort is super fun with water sports, yoga, beach volleyball, board games, and different entertainment every night. You wont go wrong with the RIU group!

Though there was a huge variety of food, we are from South Africa and found almost everything very bland. We added pepper and salt to almost every meal and searched for more spices to add to our meals. Most breakfasts, lunches and dinners had the same type of food every day so you don't get to taste different foods. The snack bar during lunches also has the same food and snacks every single day. It would be great to have different things so people don't get bored of what they're eating. Especially for those who are stay for 7 days ore longer.

Loved the place

Just hated Booking. Com The hotel gave us the very worst room they had. It was opposite a huge building site Very loud jack hammers starting early and leaving late. Impossible to open balcony door. Hotel said you should have advised us The hotel were fantastic and moved us to a far better room I’ll never ever book with Booking.com again

I really liked the property. It is clean, modern, and new.

What I really didn’t like about the property was how some staff treated the Black people differently. Some were told to cover up while many white or European people were literally wearing thongs. Also the music at the outdoor food corners did not display any African culture. No African music. Just odd. There was no African food in the buffet. People come to Africa to experience the culture in addition to its beauty. Riu Jambo completely missed the mark in that area. Besides that if you’re looking for a European experience in Africa, this place is just for you.

The hotel was comfortable overall, especially with our young one. like any other all~inclusive hotel it offered everything and there was no need to leave the property (food, activities, late night entertainment, etc). However, the room was very basic, the buffet had many options but the food was average- tasting. The beach is beautiful but filled with local vendors trying to sell different stuff (it got very annoying after the second day)… We enjoyed a walk down Kendwa beach (rated one of the best beaches) and found a bunch of starfish (you can reach Kendwa beach only during low tide).

We visited during low season and the hotel has three different concept- restaurants you can reserve a table besides the main buffet. We couldnt get a table to any of the restaurants throughout our entire stay.

We really liked everything. Very tasty food. Helpful, friendly staff. They made my birthday very special. Asante sana! Very nice beach. Lots of activities on the hotel grounds. Several pools. The hotel is big and there were a lot of people, but nevertheless we felt very comfortable and like we were at home. We also used the spa services and were very satisfied with them. Highly recommended!

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like. We arrived earlier than check-in and had to wait almost an hour longer to get into our room. We have traveled a lot and it was a completely new experience that if check-in time is at 3pm, then you cant go in your room. We waited almost one hour until 4pm. However, the hotel staff were still very friendly and we were able to enjoy the hotel pool and the wait wasn't that bad. :) We also missed out on a welcome drink upon arrival.

Big hotel , was not over crowded. Very nice beach. A lot of activities through out the day. Staff is very nice & friendly.

We were not informed after booking the hotel that there is renovations taking place. Booking this trip as a relaxing vacation, we were woken up at 8am to construction noice and banging sounds. The hotel decreased the amenities available (shower caps, dental kits, hygiene kits - make up remover , Cotten buds). I expect the hotel to have this available as a 4 star.
