Aside from the few insects we found in the room - from a millipede to mosquitoes and ants, which is entirely normal considering you’re tucked away in what feels like a rainforest, with frogs and geckos making the journey back to your room like playing a game of hopscotch, the studio we stayed in was absolutely beautiful (the photos do not do it justice), comfortable and really a lovely place to stay that’s in a great location to ‘walking street’ and only a 10 min walk to Sunset Beach / North Point Beach. A mini fridge with drinks and snacks at 7-11 prices was 10/10, as was the lighting and overall general stay. The ‘free breakfast’ each day really added another level to our stay. Staff and the cafe were really great and the food 10/10 too. Would definitely stay here again. Only suggestions I would make is: 1) You’ve supplied a kettle and cups - but no coffee or milk to make a coffee or tea with? 2) I would give each room a set of hand towels too, as large bath towels aren’t enough. 3) The electronic blinds do not completely work - that, or we aren’t using them right so instructions would be helpful!

The room was clean and comfortable — really cozy to rest after a long day. Location-wise, it’s quite strategic, not too far from the walking street so it’s easy to explore the area on foot. Breakfast was surprisingly good, with a nice variety and tasty options. Staff were friendly and helpful, definitely made the stay more pleasant. Only downside for me is the price — felt a bit on the expensive side. If they could lower it a bit, it would be perfect. But overall, still a great stay!

Highly recommend The Reef. Friendly welcoming team, great location, fantastic breakfast prepared fresh and to order each morning. The staff are super friendly yet professional. The Reef is a short stroll to Walking Street and all it has to offer, plus other restaurants away from Walking Street. We found some great options off Walking Street and even closer close to the accommodation. The beaches are all in walking distance. We found the rooms to be clean, modern and with well appointed mini-bar and snacks. All at 7 - Eleven prices! Our room was serviced daily and to a high standard. We stayed in a studio, with the bedroom and balcony upstairs, everything else downstairs. This was not a concern for us, however, the stairs are steep and could pose a problem if you are less mobile. Book a ground floor suite, because this place is just too good to miss out on. Believe the hype, Koh Lipe is paradise and the Reef makes it even more perfect. Just writing this review makes me want to return. We did not want to leave!

Loved everything!

The best thing about the hotel was the breakfast in the morning, we all thought it was the best breakfast we’d had on our travels. Delicious fresh juice and a good selection of breakfast choices. We stayed in the family suite and it was brilliant as it had two separate bathrooms so with four of us sharing we weren’t all trying to get ready with one shower. The location is great, easy to walk anywhere at all on the island and perfectly located for walking street and the restaurants and bars.

We were perfectly happy here and we all said we would stay here again.

Clean spacious room with a comfortable bed. Quiet at night. Good location with a short walk to Walking Street and also to Sunrise Beach and Pattaya Beach. Fantastic included breakfast at the cafe that belongs to the hotel. Very tasty and quick service. You can choose any dish and a drink at no cost. Very friendly staff. They served us a refreshing fruit shake on arrival. Hotel recommended a company for the transfer from Hat Yai that included the speedboat ticket to Lipe and we were very happy with the company. The driver of the taxi drove us safely to Pak Bara and the speedboat company had safety vests for all passengers. We would love to come back to this charming hotel 🤩

Not much storage if you want to unpack your bag but as we travelled with rucksacks it didn’t bother us.

What I liked about The Reef Hotel & Studios is that it’s a small, cute, and very cozy place to return to after a long day of diving. It’s spotlessly clean and has all the necessary basics, plus the much-needed AC. The fact that there’s a breakfast spot and café right next to it, which is part of the hotel, is a great convenience. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, which made my stay even better.

The space is quite small, so if you’re looking for something more spacious, it might not be the best fit.

We had a nice Welcome Drink. We arrived before check In and we left the luggage at the reception. They put it in our room while we were gone at the beach. We had new Water every Day. The minifridge included Softdrinks and beer at very fair pries. The room had a lot of space and a nice terrace. It was close to the walking street. The breakfast was great. Different options to choose from and a nice fruit Juice. This was a great start for the Day. We loved our stay here and felt welcome.

The breakfasts are incredible, and with the great coffee and juices on offer, it is easy to understand why they have a stand alone cafe in Walking Street. Though there were a few issues with my room, the staff were friendly and tried to solve problems quickly and without fuss. The studio apartment was spacious and comfortable and the balcony was an added bonus. I’m aware that not all rooms were as luxurious but it was worth the treat of staying there.

Super friendly and helpful staff. There is a nice café that belongs to the hotel. Breakfast was available until 4pm and we could simply order from their regular menu. Very delicious food and smoothie options. Clean rooms. Great location, about 5‘ walk to the walking street and about 10‘ to the beach/pier.

Furniture not as fancy as shown in the pictures. There were a lot of mosquitoes around - on the rest of the island not really as much. Weird smell from the bathroom.

Cleanliness, really comfortable bed, view from the balcony was amazing, I loved the location which was a bit away from the main street. The breakfast is absolutely SPECTACULAR and one of the main reasons why I had chosen this place. They make their own bread and coffee. The cafe where u have breakfast is so nicely decorated-wood and a looot of greenery, that you really feel like u are in some high-end resort in the middle of nowhere.

We were there when the temperatures were extremely hot so it was hard to cool down the room (our room was quite big). We had ac on lowest temperature and fan on the whole time we were there.
