This is a difficult review to write because I still haven’t made up my mind what to think of the place. What attracted us was the location. Right next to the airport for a hassle-free commute the next morning. The photos were another pull. I was intrigued. Sure it looks crazy and over the top but with four kids this might just be a fun last night in Bangkok. The hotel visually did not disappoint. It’s tacky and over the top but also playful and fun, thanks to the owner who is also an artist. There is something to see everywhere you look (crazy architecture like a movie set, art installations, etc). Some you’ll love, other things perhaps not. Rooms are unique in design and architecture. They are spacious and have a nice bathroom, living room, outdoor hot tub. The restaurant has a full menu and food is decent. Staff at registration was super friendly. Thank you for the free sketches by the owner as a parting gift.

It’s a matter of taste. Nothing shuttle here. It’s bombastic, kitschy, fun, romantic, quirky. Definitely one-of-a-kind. Some things we didn’t like were: restaurant menu is chaotic and waiters speak poor English and seem to eager- they hover about you all the time. An army of waiters staring at you. The hotel is HUGE. I’m sure it fills up for wedding reception etc. but when we were there it seemed a bit like a ghost town and even a little creepy. Although everything was clean you do have the sense the infrastructure is a little dated and needs a little make over. Given its size I guess that’s not so easy. I don’t want to hate on this hotel though because I felt it was a labor of love and deserves credit for it’s uniquness.

It is very close to the airport and the private pool villa comes with a lot of space and separate rooms. Big bathroom and plenty of amenities for inside the room. The room has an interesting design and it makes it stand apart from a regular hotel/apartment. I would stay here again if I wanted to spend a couple of days isolated from the bustling city.

There is not a lot to do around, so you need a taxi or a car to get out and do something. Not very walkable and even if you do you're in the shadow of the airport so not a lot of things you can walk into. The design of the property is interesting, but I felt it could be overwhelming at times.

The unique 'Siam' style rooms, and the style of the hotel surroundings. A peaceful air in the hotel grounds, in the middle of a busy traffic area. Hourly minibus service to the airport. Provision of ear plugs to help light sleepers if aircraft flew over.

There were a few minor issues that housekeeping and maintenance could have solved, being managed by reception. One example was the TV could not be turned on, it was complex and a previous guest had changed the TV language to Russian, a language that I cannot read or speak. Another, the hot water supply was not sufficient to have a 'hot bath'.

Picked due to its location to the airport as it was an overnight stay for a flight the next day. When the next day came my partner said she could easily have stayed here for another couple of days which we intend to do next time we visit Bangkok. They will accept late checkouts to coincide with your flight time which we should have done as nowhere else to go outside this resort (see below)

As people like to read bad things i thought id put this here but it isnt a complaint. This resort is literally on the Airport boundary, as such there is nothing outside of it to speak of so dont go here if you plan to see Bangkok, although you could get there. Our main reason to stay here was to coincide with booked flights and in that this hotel worked perfectly.

I've travelled alot in the last few years stayed in some amazing hotels around the world but I have to say when it comes to wanting a exotic experience , a resort that will leave a life impression as probably the most luxurious, original with a wow factor this place takes the gold medal. The staff and the service by all match with what I've said, all.smiles from the time you walk in to the time you sadly have to leave. I leave with a lifelong memory of amazing photos. The artistic flair, the creativity of the design and layout, the rooms are also something that you can't imagine. Beautiful restaurant settings, amazing facilities, pool, gyms, massage, wine bar just exquisite. And when it comes to the food well... incredible ate at the restaurant where they had some live music , the indoor restaurant at the amazing pool, the food is top notch 👌, if I've left something good to say its because im still looking at the beautiful photos I took. I would like to thank all the staff and management but a special mention to the owner, shareholders, and the brain and minds that put this amazing gem into reality. Thank you 🙏

I'm not a technically minded person, so I found it strange that there were no phones in the room, but having said that staff were excellent in explaining ways to community via Whatsapp and Line

Ammata Lanta Resort is an absolute visual treat. From the moment I arrived, I felt like royalty. The private villas are stunning—elegantly designed with classic, regal furniture that transports you to another world. It’s peaceful, luxurious, and beautifully maintained. When I first entered the property, I was already impressed, but as they guided me through the rest of the resort, I was completely blown away by the sheer scale and beauty of the place. Every corner feels like a dream. The staff were exceptional—kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. I needed to transfer a sizable amount of money to an artist but ran into some issues. Without hesitation, the staff stepped in and made the transfer from their own account, allowing me to reimburse them in cash. It was such a generous and trusting gesture, and they handled it with such ease that it took all the stress off me. Since I had an early morning flight, they also packed a wonderful breakfast for me to take along—another thoughtful touch that made me feel truly cared for. My stay at Ammata Lanta was beyond expectations. It was private, peaceful, and luxurious in every way. I left with beautiful memories and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

No complaints. i loved the place

We had a delayed flight so in a bit of a rush we booked an overnight stay in Bangkok, we had a room with a private pool. This is one of the weirdest places we've stayed. Arriving at night it feel like you've been dropped off in a Thai Disney resort, we knew it was close to the airport so the sound of the planes didn't bother us although it did frighten the living daylights out of me in the middle of the night - haha! Pool was lovely & refreshing and the sounds of the water features around the lake detracted from the road noise. The villa was HUGE and well equipped. we had dinner at the restaurant the other side of the lake still not sure if is connected to the hotel? Breakfast was awesome, lots of tasty Thai options and a good coffee! The communal pool was just lovely and the staff reception helping with transfers were brilliant.

We arrived at night which covered a multitude of things, in daylight it's all a little weird and feels slightly unloved in places. Electric sockets hanging off the walls (glad our grandkids weren't with us & there little fingers would have been straight inside that interesting box of wires). Is there such a thing as too many staff?!? The restaurant with the live music that we don't know if it is part of hotel had way too many staff loitering, the menu was plain crazy, it needs someone with fresh eyes to re-write and make it easy to order. When I paid by card the card was taken away from me and then the waiter asked me to write down my PIN number to complete transaction..... errrr nope!

Food was amazing - great breakfast buffet. Shile there were planes flying overhead all the time, we had absolutley no problem with them. afgter the first few, they becaame white noise. Did not disrupt sleep at all. We love the location. We were there for rest and respite so it was great to be out from the city proper and the entire environment of the resort allowed us to focus on just us. Best staff ANYWHERE. Concierge was great - setting up everything we wanted to do off property. Mr. "O" was so friendly and accomodating. He was a perfect example of someone with a servant's heart.

Nothing. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The only thing we didn't like was that it ended too soon. This is now our GoTo in Bangkok.

We loved the architecture and decoration, all art collections together with the special buildings made our stay very memorable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Near the airport was perfect for the start and end of our trip. The swimmingpool plus surroundings with waterfall are so beautiful.

Of course a lot of airplanes flying over, but of course this is normal for the location. They stopped during the night so we could sleep good in the biggest bed we have ever seen. It felt a bit quiet in the resort, while almost all rooms were booked. There were not many people at breakfast or the beautiful swimmingpool.
