The location has to be number. You step out of the hotel and see the grand palace on your left and the temple on your right. Loads of little restaurants to try. The famous WatPo massage school and center is just a few minute away and there is a 7Eleven conveniently located nearby.
I could hear the people in the opposite room open and close their doors and talk. That it wasn’t too bad.

Funky duplex set up with views directly on to Wat Pho temple. You are in a perfect spot for watching sunset over Wat Arun and 8 minute walk to the Metro station. The river ferry terminal is also 6 minutes away. So location was perfect for all major sites.
Road outside is quiet at night but gets busy from about 6am and the occasional large lorry makes the building shake. Not really a biggie but might be an issue for a light sleeper!

The staff was super helpful and nice. We needed to prolong our stay twice and there was no problem. Also when we needed to print our visa they were very helpful. Room has AC which is a must in this city.
You would think that the area is quite awesome since, all the big tourist attractions are nearby, but in reality its quite the shabby part of the town that is open only for turists from 10:00 to 16:00 and then everything is closed.

Basic guesthouse in a historic part of Bangkok close to the royal palace and river.

The apartment isn't as displayed, seen above. They constructed a steep stairway with a second floor. Directly in the heart of the old part of BKK, not far from MRT Sanam Chai 31, Khason Road, convidient and less expensive.
The stairway is tricky, don't use it with socks on your feet. There were construction under way in the neighbouring room, probably for a kitchen, and one day it was really stinky because of the new colours. Got a headache 🤔

You can easily catch all attractions in BKK, good with MRT, clean part of the city
