The hotel was totally charming. The staff welcoming and the breakfast was fabulous. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable. We had a city view room, but we should have booked a river view room, as the views are really stunning. The hotel organised us a taxi to the airport for the end of our trip, this was also very smooth and reasonably priced.

Our only issue was finding somewhere very local to eat late on our arrival evening. The area is quiet after 9pm, so we should have set out earlier - or taken a tuktuk.

Great location next to the river in a quiet environment; easy to reach by train and metro from the airport. Super kind and helpful staff. Breakfast on the terrace with the view on Wat Arun is simply amazing. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable as well. 7-eleven store, bank and good restaurants in the closest proximity (max 5 mins walking distance). Wat Pho and Grand Palace also in walking distance, pier on the river for the ferries as well. In the overall simply the PERFECT choice for staying in Bangkok! Would go there again the next time.

Nothing with one little exception: Although having reserved and stayed for 4 nights in total (Monday to Friday), after we had left after the check-out on Friday morning and having paid for the 4 nights, my reservation has been modified ex-post to only one night (Mon-Tue). Didn't really change anything to the great experience of our stay but was somehow weird.

We loved the amazing Location, overlooking the river and nearby the palace. We were able to take nearby river boat taxis and the blue line metro to many of our destinations. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. The flower market is only a few blocks away. You also avoid the crazyness of Kao San Road further north.

Some taxi drivers aren't familiar with the hotel. We solved this problem by mentioning the nearby Siam Museum, abd Watt Pho. Nearby streets are a bit dark at night, but it is still a safe location.

1. The owner Ma'am was so lovely and kind all the time. Thank you for your service. 2. We loved the Thai styled breakfast. It's also interesting that the hotel gives us 3 breakfast choices (American , Thai, Sandwich ) . Last day we had to check out early , thankfully ma'am made us sandwich in advance 😃 3. The hotel is near Watpo and Wat Arun.

* There were nothing bad things about the hotel and owner😀 ------- 1. If you want to get alot of massage I recommend to move near China Town or Khao San road. There are few shops near hotel but little expensive. 2. If you tour to shop a lot, you should take a cab or sidecar to 5km East for a big shopping mall.

Pan, the lady on reception, was so warm and welcoming when we arrived, which was such a lovely way to be received after a long flight and our first time in Thailand. The hotel is in a perfect location for the temples, palace etc. also for river transport to numerous tourist places. It is virtually on the river bank and breakfast is served in their little cafe overlooking the Chao Phraya river with Wat Arun directly across the river. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The room was very clean and comfortable. Pan went above and beyond to ensure our stay was first rate, charming polite and super helpful. She is a credit to the hotel and we can't thank her enough for making our stay so enjoyable.

Excellent location next to the river, not far from the Royal Palace or the flower market and street food, but yet still quiet. Our room had a partial river view and we enjoyed eating our breakfast right next to the river. Madame Pan, the front of house lady, was an absolute treasure, organising a long-tail boat tour from the hotel's private pier and giving advice on local amenities. She also arranged for us to stay longer in our room (at an additional cost) as we had a late evening flight, which made our last day much more enjoyable. The hotel has a French feel and is very comfortable with a good bed.

Great location, attentive staffs, clean, nice hotel, good wifi and AC. Ms. Pan, the office manager goes above and beyond her duties to provide guests with helpful information and make sure our needs are met. Several guests at the hotels love her and told us that there are comparable hotels in the area, but they are likely to book this hotel because of Pan. We agree and will book this hotel in the future because of Pan.

River view, but not view of wat arun. Vivi the river place coffee shop has good view of wat arun. Publicbstreets and sidewalks around the areas are coated with dirt.E

In an excellent location. Very short walk to the ferry to Wat Arun and even less to the meeting point for our longtail canal cruise at the end of the road. The Grand Palace and flower market were a short walk away too, we didn't need to use tuk tuks. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise: a riverside table at the cafe next door with plenty to eat though you do have to select the cooked element the night before. They arranged a taxi to the airport for 500 Thai baht cash, cheaper than anything I'd found online.

The room safe. We put iPads, passports etc in then found we couldn't open it! Only the manager could help and he wasn't due in until the next day. So beware, apparently they've had problems with iPads before, hopefully they will put a warning notice up.

Aurum was the perfect place for a first time trip to Bangkok and Thailand. The hotel sends you a print out to give to the taxi at the airport, or can even arrange a pick up for you. Once at the hotel, you’re in the middle of the main tourist sites. It’s a very quick walk to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, the 24h flower market is right there. If you’re lucky enough to book early enough and get a river view, you’ll see Wat Arun perfectly. Breakfast is RIGHT on the water and was delicious. I loved the butterfly juice. The receptionist — and everyone says this! — is so kind. She was very funny and helpful. There’s a metro entrance right there, too — maybe a 5 minute walk, which is helpful to explore the rest of Bangkok.

Great place to stay overlooking the river with a biig comfy bed and lovely breakfast. Close to temples we wanted to visit. Great food close by and lots of coffee shops and ATMs. Now let's talk about Pan. We met her on day 1 when she greeted us for breakfast. Happy, warm, friendly and very informative. She made our stay all the better. She was there in the morning and there when we get back, warm and welcoming with a smile on her face. She treated us like her family. We thank you Pan.
