The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows, good AC and a good area downstairs to play pool (good pool table). Location was unbeatable for the train station, we could take a train from here for only 5 baht to Don Muang. Close to a metro as well as a 7-Eleven, and some good local places to eat. Secure place to store bags too. Most (see comment below) of the staff are very nice.

The room and the service in some ways didn't match up, or parts of it. Like it's kinda going for a fancy vibe with a mini bar and other bits, but then the shower is a cheap electric one which barely comes warm (not the worst in Thailand, ok, but still). Also, one member of staff is particularly rude, mentioning repeatedly my physical appearance, pointing at me and telling me I "look tired" when I tried to explain that I wasn't and it was just how my eyes are as I have a condition. It just put a downer on my time here and made me self-conscious. She did apologise when my husband brought it up upon check out, which I accept, but I just don't think it's a nice way to behave with guests.

This is my third stay at Happy Station. For context I’ve been traveling full time for over a decade. 70+ countries. I’ve seen a hostel or two. This is hands down one of the best on the globe. I’ve only stayed while solo traveling, but if you’re a couple or even a family you’ll be very comfortable and in very good hands. Lily and staff are not only accommodating hosts but truly delightful humans. You’re experience in BKK will be elevated by getting to know them. I’m not going to repeat all the other stellar reviews. But if you want large comfortable dorm beds in a space that is always clean and tidy and the perfect location to explore. Happy Station the only choice.

Thr staff were super friendly and helpful. The food at Born to Dine (which is the restaurant in the hotel) was delicious and well priced. Our room was spacious and had a private bathroom and toilet. The whole place was very clean and well maintained. There was complimentary water and cold drinks in a mini bar you could purchase (cheaply!). The location was excellent, right next to the railway station and really at the centre of lots of things around you. It's on the outskirts of Chinatown so you can walk there easily for an array of delicious meals and drinks. The bed was extremely comfy!!

The aircon wasn't great. There was a giant fan to support it (and that was 100% necessary) but rhe room never really got cold, and in this heat, that was a little frustrating.

The location is great, only a few steps away from MRT Hualamphong (Exit 3), railway station Hualamphong, pharmacy and a 7/11. It is an ideal choice for any solo traveler wants to explore Chinatown (Yaowarat). The bed is comfy and quiet, bathroom clean and tidy, all guests are respectful of each other’s privacy yet also being friendly. You have the ground floor to relax, chat and grab a meal if you want to. The biggest bonus would be Lily and the staff, how they give recommendations, greet and help the guests, take care of the elderly... really impressed me. I feel really welcome here and will definitely comeback again!

Wifi connection could be just a bit stronger especially once you got inside the bed, but not exactly a bother.

I like everything about this place! Staff was extremely nice and helpful. I stayed in female dorm and the bed was spacious, everyone had their own closet. The bathrooms were amazing! They were cleaned everyday and very convenient. I love the common space/cafeteria on the first floor. Because I traveled for work, I used this space to work. The common space/cafeteria was peaceful and convenient. The location is super convenient--only a few steps away from the metro station. I feel safe when walk back the to hostel from the metro at night.

Happy Station Bangkok is an absolute gem and easily the best hostel I've stayed in. Its location is unbeatable—right next to the Hua Lamphong Blue Line station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Bangkok's must-visit sites. The staff truly stand out for their warmth and friendliness. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel like a friend, which added a personal touch to my stay. The facilities are just as impressive. The beds are very wide and comfortable, with large cupboards to securely lock away your belongings. There are plenty of washrooms and shower rooms, all kept spotlessly clean thanks to the daily housekeeping service, which also made my bed every day. I ended up extending my stay here. I can't recommend it enough! PS: Their playlist is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at happy station. Large, clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Large TV. Beautiful sinks 😂. Separate shower room and toilet (always a plus!). Great views and wonderful local, quiet area with great local street food options right on the doorstep. Great transport links to the rest of the city, literally right next to MRT and train station. Very close to china town, 1 stop on the MRT or a 15/20 minute walk. Also 15/20 minute walk to thanon banthat thong road - can you tell we are foodies!!! We actually never tried the food here but It always smelled amazing and had a constant stream of Grab delivery drivers picking up, so it must have been good. Great healthy, fresh smoothies that were delicious!! It goes without saying that the jacuzzi was a wonderful bonus! But the thing that really makes this place is the staff, honestly the very best hospitality and advice, already missing them and it's only been a day. Thank you for everything girls, you've been the best!!!

It would have been nice to have more comfortable seating such as a sofa, but this was a minor issue!!! Stay here, you won't be disappointed!!!!

There’s nothing I didn’t like, this stay was exceptional. Hostel is super organized, super clean and incredibly well located. It’s beside Hua Lamphong metro station and also close to Si Phraya ferry station. So you’ll be able to know a lot of places just by walking around or taking metro/ferry. We booked the private room, and facilities were great, room spacious and good shower. They even had slippers for us so we can walk around the room and don’t make noise for rooms below us. And the best was the staff! They were incredibly friendly, we really felt we were staying at some family house, they treated us so kindly I’ve never seen that at any other part of the world! Made me want to stay longer at Bangkok, but unfortunately we had to leave. Planning already to return and for sure I’ll stay again at happy station!

Everything was nice!

Perfect location; conventional thinking makes one choose places in the central business districts but this property is located in the old part of Bangkok , low rise buildings, quiet at night and plenty of great food spots. It is close to Banthat Thong road which is a great place for evening dining activities. It is located right next to an MRT. It is also close to Chinatown, Wat Traimit (Golden Buddha temple) and ICONSIAM Mall. It is a great place to socialise with fellow travellers and the staff is exceptional. Well maintained; hygienic.

No complaints

Staff was helpful and friendly. Self-checking (due to late arrival) was without issues - instructions for it were provided on request. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. Room is not the largest, but for sleeping and resting is just fine. Wi-fi worked well and so did AC. Hostel is very close to the metro station and old railway station (trains to Cambodian border and some slower trains to the north still start here), there are shops and some restaurants close-by.

Storage space is limited and no real shelves for clothes are in the room. When showering, it is easy to flood the entrance to the bathroom if you are not careful.
