For a first timer solo traveling, stayed in Tamni made the whole trip became more memorable 🤟 I love the neighbourhood, it's not that dead quiet but not too overly lively. I enjoyed exploring area around Hua Lamphong & ChinaTown area (plus Song Wat) in the morning. Totally enjoyed and best decision ever to spent 12 days here. Do you guys need 7-11? There are two of them near Tamni. MRT Hua Lamphong (Exit no.3) also just a walking distance from the hostel. There are Tuk Tuk drivers parked in front of the MRT Hua Lamphong too, in case you need some other options of transportation. During my stays, i often use Grab Bike and the drivers had not difficulties to find the Hostel 👍 The nearest Shopping Mall is SamYan Mirtown i think the mall is moderately busy. Because it's near the Chulalongkorn University so no wonder if you see tons of students there. I think the location of Tamni is my favorite too, because i could reach MBK center, Siam Center/Area by using a the local Bus (There is a Bus Stop "Mrt Hua Lamphong Exot no.3" in front of 7-11, it's on the left from MRT Hua Lamphong Exit no.3) + using ViaBus app is quite helpfull for a tourist like me. Just combine the the google map + ViaBus app and it works! If you are not sure to find the ways by yourself, don't hestitate to ask the staff (They are very helpful). I also find the MRT Hua Lamphong quite easy to reach several destinations like Wat Pho, Yaowarad/Chinatown, Sam Yot, Benjakitti Park, Chulalongkorn Centenerary park, Jae Wan Dessert Place, Jeh O Chula and Don Mueang Airport ( The SRT Line). If you want to use BTS, you can connect at Si Lom station and go to Sala Daeng Station (BTS) it's just 2 station from Hua Lamphong. Beside the whole building just beautiful and comfortable to stay for days, i love the two cutie fluffy doggo(s) 🤟🤟🤟

Things i regret is that I didn't participate at all to the Tamni's event, all of them definitely looks fun (will try them for the next trip to Bangkok) and i totally forgot to ask the dogs' name 🤡

just wow! I'm 33 and therefore no longer the classic hostel age. I often feel somehow too old for hostels - not at Tamni. The crowd was very mixed in terms of age and the standard was more like a boutique hotel. That's why I upgraded from my shared female dorm to a single or double room after the first night to enjoy this standard. (Many thanks again to Creme, who helped me a lot with everything! Overall, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! :)) The dorms are great! You had a locker right by your bed, curtains and a dimmable light. However, I felt like having some privacy. The double room was beautiful and clean. I even had a steamer, a bluetooth box and a fridge! I can absolutely recommend the massage right next to the hostel. It was the best one I've had in Thailand so far! :) I really liked the location, a bit more laid back, not as busy as the rest of bangkok but still well connected. Would come back anytime. Thank you very much!

Nothing :)

Beautiful hotel. It had an ‘indoor/outdoor’ feel to it. Lots of common areas if you want to socialize or sit on your own. It was nice to be able to sit and watch Netflix - something I had not done in 3 months of travel. Staff were very friendly, always were ready to help. They helped carry my luggage in and out for my taxi and up their stairway. Kitchen area was clean and breakfasts were good with fresh fruit, eggs, and something hot daily. There is also a nice little cafe attached if you want to buy coffee or a meal. I love that was a place to do laundry. Everything was clean and well maintained.

Super cozy hostel and the 4 bunk room was really quiet with comfy beds and plenty of storage in the lockers. Having laundry on site and breakfast included was a really nice perk, and the cafe on the main floor served excellent food and coffee, which was nice since there isn't a ton of other options in this specific neighborhood. The staff was really helpful with recommendations as well, directing me to the best spots in town to enjoy Songkran, as well as some other spots a bit further away to escape the hectic parts. Overall, a really comfortable hostel if you're looking for a budget stay with some peace and quiet, and also a great location as it's right next to the metro station and fairly centrally located.

Not really anything to nitpick. My only note is that it's not the most social hostel from what I gathered in my weekend there, so keep that in mind if that's what you're looking for. I did meet a few cool folks, however.

I've written a review for Tamni before after my first stay last year in March but I think it deserves another review after almost a year has passed. I stumbled upon this place at the last minute when I planned for a getaway after my break-up in March last year. Bangkok had been my go-to place whenever I needed to be on my own to grieve and Tamni had been a huge part of providing comfort and refuge from my own emotional journey. The people at Tamni were an absolute joy and a warm bunch even if our interactions were mostly on a hi-bye basis (I'm pretty introverted). Tamni itself is located within the city centre but far enough from the hubbub of crowds and traffic but close enough to access everywhere. Its a perfect establishment for introverts and those who prefer solitude and to go about their quieter habits. I've stayed here seven times (I think) and I cant imagine anywhere else to go and be.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at in Bangkok! The hostel is spacious, airy, and super clean. The shared bathrooms are outstanding, and tissue paper is provided almost everywhere. Free drinking water and breakfast are available—OMG, everything is all set! The bunks are spotless and well-organized. The beds are made upon request. The young staff members are cute, helpful, and proactive. I love the balcony area with green plants—I sat there to chill every day. There was a power outage during my stay, but they offered a complimentary meal and massage. The massage was awesome—I even tipped the masseuse! The days I stayed, Bangkok was offering one week of free MRT rides due to air pollution. OMG, I didn’t have to pay a single penny for the MRT during my time there! Now it's grammatically correct while keeping the original excitement and flow. Let me know if you need any more tweaks!

Nothing.

Location: The hostel is ideally situated within a short walking distance of the subway (MRT) and Yaowarat. You will find a 7-11 and local restaurants nearby. The hostel itself features a cafe, restaurant, massage services, and various activities. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, making it hard to find a seat for food and drinks, but weekdays are much quieter, with plenty of space to relax. Staff: The staff members are all very friendly and eager to help. I did encounter one receptionist with long straight hair who came across as a bit arrogant, but maybe it was just her face, and I won't let that affect my overall rating. The other two receptionists, one whose name I believe starts and ends with J was very sweet and welcoming, and the other girl with either short hair or she had it in a ponytail was also very kind and attentive. Room: I stayed in a mixed dorm with four beds. As the first to check in, I got the bottom bunk next to the window, which I loved for the natural light. The bed was comfortable and came with a private locker, though no lock was provided. The bathroom was clean and had the necessary amenities, but it could be a bit cramped with 4-5 people using it at the same time. Overall: I would definitely stay here again, just perhaps not on weekends.

The property is beautiful and really a lovely place to relax and unwind from the chaos of bkk. The vibe is truly excellent and I was content to relax at the hostel whenever I was in between the days activities or at the end of the night. Located 1 min from Hua Laphong MRT, and situated between all major food & cultural areas - Chinatown, Talat Noi, Banthat Thong Rd, and by extension Siam, this is a brilliant location if you rent a motorbike or take grab, or like walking. The massage place next door is probably my favourite massage place in all of Bangkok. Superbly decorated with chilled, jazz piano tunes quietly playing overhead. Pure bliss. Beds are comfy, toilets are clean and not at all crowded.

I think a common problem in hostel dormitories, but the aircon has difficulty reaching your bed especially when the privacy curtains are drawn. I had trouble sleeping as I am a heavy aircon sleeper. Also, people who rely heavily on BTS will need to head up to Sukuhmvit MRT to connect to Asok to join the BTS lines. Not a deal breaker, but just to note it's not as convenient as staying along the busy Sukuhmvit road. Pros of this is Tamni is incredibly quiet and peaceful.

The room was very neatly prepared, the toilet was clean, the design was interesting, it also has a great location (walking distance from Sevel and MRT). The neighborhood was safe for solo travellers, the staffs were very warm and they also has a laundry service for 150 baht

The hostel room was too quiet, it can be a good thing sometimes when I needed to take a rest. But I thought I could interact with the other travelers as well, turned out they are very reserved and individualistic, but it's not a major thing for me

I've stayed in hundreds of hostels in different countries around the world. Tamni is the best I've been to by a long way. It's more of a boutique design hotel than a hostel so don't expect beer pong and drinking games. But if you like architecture, design and prefer somewhere chilled, comfortable and immaculately clean, Tamni is for you. The beds (even in dorm rooms) are really comfy, the atmosphere is laid-back and homely, the bathrooms are spotless. The food and coffee is great. And the staff are super sweet - mainly students and young creatives. The location is excellent too. The street is quaint and local, but you're super close to Chinatown and all of the good bars, restaurants and museums. You also get a DIY breakfast and there's a huge TV room, laundry and coffee shop on site. Genuinely hard to find a fault. I'll be back!
