For a first timer solo traveling, stayed in Tamni made the whole trip became more memorable 🤟 I love the neighbourhood, it's not that dead quiet but not too overly lively. I enjoyed exploring area around Hua Lamphong & ChinaTown area (plus Song Wat) in the morning. Totally enjoyed and best decision ever to spent 12 days here. Do you guys need 7-11? There are two of them near Tamni. MRT Hua Lamphong (Exit no.3) also just a walking distance from the hostel. There are Tuk Tuk drivers parked in front of the MRT Hua Lamphong too, in case you need some other options of transportation. During my stays, i often use Grab Bike and the drivers had not difficulties to find the Hostel 👍 The nearest Shopping Mall is SamYan Mirtown i think the mall is moderately busy. Because it's near the Chulalongkorn University so no wonder if you see tons of students there. I think the location of Tamni is my favorite too, because i could reach MBK center, Siam Center/Area by using a the local Bus (There is a Bus Stop "Mrt Hua Lamphong Exot no.3" in front of 7-11, it's on the left from MRT Hua Lamphong Exit no.3) + using ViaBus app is quite helpfull for a tourist like me. Just combine the the google map + ViaBus app and it works! If you are not sure to find the ways by yourself, don't hestitate to ask the staff (They are very helpful). I also find the MRT Hua Lamphong quite easy to reach several destinations like Wat Pho, Yaowarad/Chinatown, Sam Yot, Benjakitti Park, Chulalongkorn Centenerary park, Jae Wan Dessert Place, Jeh O Chula and Don Mueang Airport ( The SRT Line). If you want to use BTS, you can connect at Si Lom station and go to Sala Daeng Station (BTS) it's just 2 station from Hua Lamphong. Beside the whole building just beautiful and comfortable to stay for days, i love the two cutie fluffy doggo(s) 🤟🤟🤟

Things i regret is that I didn't participate at all to the Tamni's event, all of them definitely looks fun (will try them for the next trip to Bangkok) and i totally forgot to ask the dogs' name 🤡

just wow! I'm 33 and therefore no longer the classic hostel age. I often feel somehow too old for hostels - not at Tamni. The crowd was very mixed in terms of age and the standard was more like a boutique hotel. That's why I upgraded from my shared female dorm to a single or double room after the first night to enjoy this standard. (Many thanks again to Creme, who helped me a lot with everything! Overall, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! :)) The dorms are great! You had a locker right by your bed, curtains and a dimmable light. However, I felt like having some privacy. The double room was beautiful and clean. I even had a steamer, a bluetooth box and a fridge! I can absolutely recommend the massage right next to the hostel. It was the best one I've had in Thailand so far! :) I really liked the location, a bit more laid back, not as busy as the rest of bangkok but still well connected. Would come back anytime. Beautiful hotel. It had an ‘indoor/outdoor’ feel to it. Lots of common areas if you want to socialize or sit on your own. It was nice to be able to sit and watch Netflix - something I had not done in 3 months of travel. Staff were very friendly, always were ready to help. They helped carry my luggage in and out for my taxi and up their stairway. Kitchen area was clean and breakfasts were good with fresh fruit, eggs, and something hot daily. There is also a nice little cafe attached if you want to buy coffee or a meal. I love that was a place to do laundry. Everything was clean and well maintained.

Everything was impeccable -- the staff was kind, the place was extremely clean, the bedroom was super comfy, the common areas were well-designed and chill. There is a super cute café attached to the reception too, which can be super useful when you are in a hurry or if you're working remotely and just want to get some work done before enjoying the city. On a further note, I lost my wallet with my cards and my cash, and the staff was super kind in helping me get some cash. Would 100% recommend. I have a habit of staying in hostels all over the world, and this was the best place I've ever been to.

We loved the minimalist design with lots of plants The private room was very quiet and comfy Shower was super good 2-min walk to the metro station and 7/11 is on the way back to the hotel Smoking area was just next to our room so I didn’t have to take stairs to the outside all the time Washing machines and tumbler dryers are very convenient as we had to change clothes in the morning and in the evening after sightseeing Massage spa is just next door

Asian breakfast was too spicy for me There were some water bottles and soft drinks in the fridge but we didn’t know if they are free or not A map of recommended nearby restaurants and cafes may be useful?

Tamni: We spent our final two nights of an almost five-week journey here, and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The lady on the evening shift at reception was incredibly attentive, warm-hearted, helpful, and professional – the kind of person who makes you feel truly welcome. Huge thanks for the spotless, centrally located room (prime spot for Bangkok exploration), top-notch service, and that adorable little paper tuk-tuk paired with an open smile as a farewell gift. Seriously, how do you say goodbye to Bangkok better than that? We left feeling grateful, well-rested, and with a little extra sunshine in our hearts.

Excellent location. Very close to Chinatown without being in it. (10 mins walk). Very cool building and laid back atmosphere. We were a family of five sharing a room with two double beds and two single bunk beds over. Good design. Steel frame to beds so no creaking. Shared common bathroom was no hassle at all. Would go back if in Bangkok.

The very cool design did have the side affect of drawing a lot of image conscious instagram selfie w&@€rs. But acceptable risk. The cafe downstairs is a separate business but avoid like the plague unless clueless idiots who offer poor service while looking very cool is your thing. Crazy overpriced too. (The cafe). Have Thai food for breakfast at stall at end of street on way to the metro. Great food and excellent value for money. My stay at Tamni was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the property. I especially loved the use of lush greenery and plants throughout the building, which creates a peaceful, refreshing vibe in the middle of the city. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, with artistic touches and a lot of personality. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It’s the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring Bangkok’s vibrant streets. The location is also excellent, with easy access to Chinatown, cafes, and public transport. If you’re looking for a stylish, welcoming place to stay with a creative atmosphere, I highly recommend Tamni. I would definitely come back!

Breakfast is great, plenty of choices. Staffs are lovely and very helpful. shower water pressure is extremely GOOD! the hairdryer is so nice makes me want to buy one. big storage next to the bed. however if you stay on upper bunk it means you have to climb on bed every time to get things from the storage. little reading lamp is nice. plenty of food places nearby and 711 just around the corner. MRT very close too, i felt very safe even on late night.

its a pretty hostel unfortunately some of the design isn't very user friendly. the double door in the share restroom is really difficult to use and hurt my ankle twice... sink is too small for a good use. open space is lovely but because shared with cafe/restaurant there are always VERY packed. upper bunk needs an extra handle otherwise the ladder is not easy to climb on. and curtain is very sheer.

Lovely vibe, cosy and a hum of people, painting, working, eating.. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, recommended places for me to go based on what I had said my aims of my trip were. Also like a minute away from the BTS so easy transport.

Only thing was I had been told I could have a late checkout at 1 instead of 12. But that wasn’t relayed across the team so someone was knocking on my door at 12 asking (politely) for me to leave for the change over, but I explained to her and after a minute she left me to it, granted I was running late and I wasn’t actually ready by 1 (jet lagged) so I had two of them knocking on my door around 1:05 when I was just about to leave, but still they were very friendly the whole time and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable.
