LA49 was our “home” for a month. It was perfect for us with a 6th floor suite. The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful and kind to a couple of first timers to Thailand. We especially would like to mention Kaviraj Gautam at the front desk - our fine English speaking friend. He is a real credit to the hotel and made our stay so much easier with his advice and constant help. The complimentary Tuktuk was so handy to get us to train/boat stations, supermarket and nearby places we needed to get to. The cleanliness of the hotel is awesome and restocking of water, coffee etc so very appreciated. Two air conditioners in the suite made it very comfortable after the heat outside. Bed was superb! Our profound thanks to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant and easy. Highly recommend

Location fantastic ~ quiet and easy access to wherever in greater Thangolor/Bangkok. The staff truly intends to go out of their way every interaction! The security guard who monitors everything from cars, Grab, private cars, and all comings/goings is a shinning example ~ smiles and assistance every day. All the staff amazing!! We also loved the location as walkable but understand the alleys immediately around the hotel are a challenge but within 10-15 minutes reach the main roads with sidewalks. Staff room cleaning and offering large water bottle daily, fresh towels, room freshen was a joy. The quiet location meant the world to us, as we were in Bangkok for medical tourism and the peacefulness day and night was terrific. Fabulous coffee around the corner (Bump Coffee) and many other great spots within 10 minute walK. Also, three totally different grocery stores all walking distance and all fabulous. We will return to this location when we are back in Bangkok without hesitation.

It is old ~ so if you can look beyond that it is well priced and lovely . There is wear/tear on furniture and counter tops in small but lovely apartment. We did not cook but did eat in many times with Grab or cold things like yogurt. Work out area was biggest disappointment - hot, tiny, and actually dirty ~ . I was kind-of stunned as the rest of the property is sparkling clean.

Great apartment hotel. Clean and well appointed rooms. Spacious and stylish. Daily housekeeping and large water bottles provided. Washing machine in the unit definitely a bonus. Tuk tuk to main road and eateries. Great sauna! I'd like to say a special thanks to Kavi, who was exceptionally professional and courteous. Made my stay superb!

TV only has 8 working channels. All local. Gym isn't a full gym. Has limited weights. Location is a bit out of way deep into Sukhumvit 49. So anything beyond the hotel's tuk tuk service, you'd have to pay for taxi.

The best thing about staying in this place was the hospitality by the staff. Everyone is soo friendly! The room we booked was spacious, clean, comfortable, and complete with refrigerator, washing machine and also a microwave which was a bonus for me. I noticed there's a lot of feedback regarding the bed, but to me the bed was comfortable enough to sleep. It wasnt that hard. I love that there's a jaccuzi/hot tub in the bathroom.

While it was located at a very quiet street (away from the busy street and we actually enjoyed how peaceful and aestathic this place is), it is a bit far from the train station or from the City Centre) The walking distance to the nearest train station takes up about 20-25 minutes. Luckily this hotel provide a free shuttle tuk tuk (but its only available until 4:30pm). Another thing is there isn't a lot of local eatery places to eat here - there's a lot of Japanese restaurant here (which can be a bit pricey) but not much on the local street food, so it can be quite hard to find somewhere to eat for breakfast or late night dinner.

I had such a comfortable stay! I was on the top floor and had a great view of the city from my balcony. The apartment had TWO aircons and TWO TV’s, as well as a bathtub and a Smart Toilet. It was wonderfully quiet with lovely staff and a free transport service via a big tuk-tuk.

While the apartment has a stove-top, there are no pots or pans or general cooking utensils, rendering it a bit pointless if you want to cook anything.

Likes...: (1)..: The room was far more spacious than expected . Its facilities were outstanding...: with all in excellent working order...: an apartment where it'd be easy to live in for extended stays. ! All modern convenciences/washing machine/huge refrigerator/microwave oven/excellent wifi receprion/great sized bathroom (has a Japanese invented 'seat warmer' on the toilet),great water pressure /good sized basin/plenty of soaps,shampoos,etc! /good sized clothes closets/portable clothes dryer on the balcony /plenty of seating areas/best quality crockery,cutlery,eating utensils/practical entry/exits to the building and your room /close by 7/11's/Hospital /great little pub 5 minures walk ..: draught beers,'smoking area',good conversation,welcoming as it gets anywhere ! (2)...: The staff..: without exception..: all wanting your stay to be a reminder of how good 'LA 49' is and show an example of how much can be achieved with polite courtesy/good communication skills/ all information needed for a traveller in a strange/different area...they realize their OWN work /job satisfaction can come from such a welcoming atitude ! (Despite what your room 'fee' may be...it shouldn't matter .'LA49' does this to perfection ). The great Reception staff/security man/technician /and especially the cleaning lady....difficult work but she had a smile every morning and a great job she did ! (3)...: Location...only 2 nights there ..but they had a 'courtesy' tuk-tuk for all if needed. These 'small' things stick in the memory and make,at the time, a huge difference .Great 'value for money' ! But those staff...a huge credit to themselves and believe me...their 'impact' on your stay : outstanding ! Highly recommend to anyone !

Look...'dislikes'...2 very minor isues needed fixed...: done in 5 minutes...no questions asked..: just fixed..And were extremely minor issues. The apartment is such a great size...keeping it clean every day,by cleaning ladies ...not a problem. ! I would have stayed longer ,but sadly...: no vacancies available..no surprise as to why that is ! I'm not going to even try to think up any 'dislikes'... you'd be a VERY fussy individual who could !

> There are no stores/restaurants very close by, we had to walk a few minutes to get there > The streets around the hotel are very narrow and the is no pedestrian road, which makes it a bit dangerous to go around, especially at rush hour > The sink in the bathroom was leaking and we were not given enough toilet paper (only replaced once empty) so we ran out once > The pool didn't look that appealing/clean

- Location of the hotel is great. Very accessible and a very good neighbourhood - Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had a good stay - Special thanks to Kavi and Sagar for their hospitality. Even the cleaning staff and security guard were very helpful and hospitable. The hotel has a tuk tuk which can be used to visit nearby locations (including BTS stations) - The hotel is well maintained and clean. Good aesthetic and well furnished. - The room/apartment comes with microwave, large fridge, cooktop, washing machine. It was very convenient to stock up the fridge with pre meals from 7/11 and heat and enjoy whenever.

- The swimming pool was closed for renovation during my visit. - The gym and pool are small. The hotel can work to improve this infrastructure when the next renovation opportunity comes. - The rooms are non smoking (including balcony). The policy to allow smoking in balcony could be considered by hotel management as all guests have to come downstairs to smoke.

I stayed in a superior 1 bedroom apartment at the hotel. Lovely space, comfortable bed and clean with complementary water every day. Elegant terrace on the 8th floor with an urban pool with amazing views of Thonglor. Great sunset place. Suraj on reception was so lovely, really helpful and kind and the hotel offers a tuk tuk to either Thonglor or Phrom Phong BTS from early morning till 20:00 in the evening.

My furniture in the apartment had seen better days - really quite shabby especially in the kitchen. Missing knobs on the cupboards for example, and no equipment. No knives, pots or pans, nothing you could cook with. Fine if you eat out every day but if you booked an apartment because you wanted to cook, you can't. Stained upholstery in the sitting room area - nasty. The 8th floor terrace had only 2 sun beds, both metal and almost inpossible to sit on. Such a wasted space. Too far from the BTS (my mistake!). It's a 25 minute walk so factor in Grab to get around.

A traditional/French-designed spacious apartment with the comfiest bed (feels like a ☁️), 2 smart TVs, Japanese toilet, bathtub, fridge, stove and washing machine - amazing value for money especially for Bangkok. Friendly staff and daily room service too. Closest 7-Eleven is 3 minutes away. We stayed for 5 nights and will surely return again!

Didn’t use the facilities at the top floor but the gym and pool looked rundown, although do check out the rooftop for a stellar view of Sukhumvit! Also perfect for suntanning. Location-wise not an issue for us as we love Thong Lo (so many cool restaurants and bars!) and used GrabBike to get around
