I can not reccomend Shan villas more for first time travelers of Thailand, staff are exceptional and so helpful with everything. We had issues with bus/ferry being cancelled for are second travel location and staff were more then helpful in finding us transfers and hotel to stay in closer to port. Mai was more than amazing, she is an absolute sweetheart with the most time for the guests she looked after us so well. I could not recommend it more

Comfiest bed!!!!! Friendly staff, the whole hotel smelt very clean. Shuttle service to the train station if interested.

Depending on what you’re looking for but very out of the centre of bangkok, takes around hour to get anywhere due to traffic…. obviously not the hotels fault. Just something to consider when booking.

+ Staff were very friendly, accommodating, approachable and informative + Room is very clean and had a nice view of the pool (and we chose the room where we had direct access from our room to the pool) + Bathroom was modern and clean + They had the option of transport from and to the airport which was a lot cheaper and reliable than other means of transport

- Due to its location, traffic was quite prevalent on the main road going into the villas thus it would take a lot longer to go to each destination (our main mode of transport had to be grab) otherwise it is a very nice quiet neighbourhood.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. The place has a very clean and luxurious feel. Very good value for money. The room is quiet and the bed is comfortable

It’s quite far away from the centre of Bangkok, up to one hour in a taxi, but it’s only 30 minutes from the airport so it is handy if you’re staying the night before a flight

I have stayed here 3 times now. It is a nice hotel with a lovely little pool. When we arrived they gave us an ice-lolly. In the first room, there was a damp smell which the staff picked up on immediately. Without us needing to ask they moved us to a pool-facing room. Unfortunately, there were two big groups in the apartments (also pool-facing) so it was quite loud and busy and we were really tired and had an early morning flight. The staff was so lovely and moved us AGAIN to a nice 3rd floor room at the back, which had a huge window, it was really nice. One young female staff member in particular was absolutely amazing, attentive and went above and beyond. All the staff were great, I hope the management realise what an asset they have there. I like that there is a clean shared station for refilling water too. Also we used the shuttle to On Nut BTS which was useful.

The only issue-- why why why don't the bathrooms have full doors! They have a thin sliding door panel with laser-cut pattern at the top and bottom-- looks nice but essentially means the door blocks nothing-- sound and other bathroom stuff is not private. We had to make an agreement with each other to leave the room or go on the balcony to give bathroom privacy. I realise some people are ok with that stuff but many don't want to be heard or smelled in the bathroom. Bad idea guys!

Very calm, modern, fresh and clean, super comfortable bed, good hairdryer, staff were very helpful but there were a couple of standouts the young woman on the front desk is an absolute gem and the older gentlemen driving the shuttle . Beautiful clean pool

Brekkie, a lot of vegetables, only white bread, no cheese, yoghurt. Considering the fruit in Thailand is amazing the variety of just watermelon and cantaloupe was not great. For the buffet you have a choice of 3 meals but when I ordered just eggs on toast they came out stone cold. Not really a great location but handy to have the shuttle to take you to the station. There are a couple of larger apartments that have a lot of guests staying and are very noisy up to midnight and they are open to the pool so if you wow t a quieter stay maybe garden view. If I was them I would have just stuck to couples rooms as it’s such a lovely environment.

The aesthetics of the entire property is a vibe. The staff is very welcoming, helpful, friendly and great communicators. They were happy to assist me with local accommodations needed in the area. The floating breakfast was a good experience. The bed is comfortable. The dining options are a nice variety. I gave the American breakfast, salmon ceaser salad and spaghetti a try during my stay. I would most definitely order again.

There was a no bath tub. However I did read that prior to me booking my stay.

A beautiful little piece of heaven within the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. We upgraded after 1 night to a villa with its own plunge pool. This was a good move! Don’t think about doing it, just do it. You won’t regret it. Hit the street vendors on the main road from the hotel if you’re hungry, they are cheap and extremely tasty. Free shuttle service to On Nut station and then effectively a tube service into Siam (9 stops) and you’ll feel like you’re in New York. Shop till you drop! Staff were excellent, and very friendly!

A little out of the way from the centre of Bangkok, which could be deemed good or bad, it’s a personal preference thing.

We had a lovely stay at SHAN Villas Sukhumvit. The hotel amenities were excellent, and the breakfast was a real highlight—especially the à la carte menu, which was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented each morning. While it’s a little far from the main tourist attractions and shopping hubs, the hotel makes up for it with a reliable and very convenient shuttle service that drops you at the nearest metro station. From there, it’s a smooth ride to many popular malls and areas around Bangkok. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the balcony view was a pleasant surprise—overlooking a quiet, green banana plantation. That peaceful greenery is a rare find in a busy city like Bangkok and really added to the relaxing vibe of the place. Overall, a great choice if you want a calm, boutique-style stay with solid service and thoughtful touches. Would happily return!

A bit far from the tourist areas.

The design and the vibes of the place is superb. It's a very small villa in a small street outside of Bangkok. The neighborhood is quiet, but that's what we loved about it. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and just lovely. We could watch Netflix and use other streaming apps! The facilities were excellent too. The pool was small, but it wasn't always full. The breakfast options are great and will always leave you feeling full! The staff was the best part of it. One time I was craving for KFC and asked the guy at the reception if I could borrow his phone to order for me. They were really helpful!

Not that I didn't like it but I wasn't a big fan of the door of the bathroom inside the room. I feel like my whole body could be seen inside when I shower or use the toilet hahahaha, but no biggie, it probably works for couples!
