Urban House is tucked away on a small alleyway, but just a short walk from a main street, and maybe 15 minutes to Silom metro. This added a few minutes walk each day, but it was a pleasant walk and meant it was quiet at night. There were plenty of places for coffee and food within easy walking distance, including a market for just breakfast and lunch for people who worked in the neighborhood. We were around for lunch once and really enjoyed the market experience and food. And the coffee options were great, too. A bit further down the road (close to the Silom metro) was street food for dinner, which was great. We got the larger room because we wanted extra room due to planning on working remotely through our stay. The room had a couch and the wifi was fast the entire time, including for Zoom calls and multiple devices. Our room was clean and in good repair. When we needed assistance, the front desk was there to schedule a taxi, share ideas, and help with transportation. We had laundry done, and it was washed well for a decent price. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend the place.

Overall it was a great place to stay. The room was spacious, very clean, and about a 10 minute walk to the the subway and the skytrain. There are a lot of close by restaurants that are good. There’s a coffee shop that’s across the street that is also good. You are in the business district so the mornings get a little chaotic but that’s to be expected being in this part of town. The staff are super friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the Urban House!

The bed sheets were a little short, my husband and I are only about 5 ft 8 in and our feet stuck out at the bottom of the bed. Also, our room faced the alley and there is bright light that is on all night. There are blinds in the room but you can still see light poke through. When you wake up in the middle of the night you don’t know if it is 2:00 am or 8:00 am due to the light. As others have mentioned, there is no elevator so you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs, but that is expected with a boutique hotel. All these were minor issues to us but want to let other travelers know what to expect!

The relief of the air conditioning as we first entered Urban House, to the beaming smile of Ice, the receptionist, it was a warm welcome after a long day of travel. The complimentary bottles of water in the room and snacks in the reception area were very much appreciated. The room was very comfortable, modern, clean and quiet. I really enjoyed the location with plenty of nice amenities nearby (e.g. two food markets on Yommarat Alley plus many more in the neighbourhood, 7-Eleven in Abdulrahim Place, hipster food court at The COMMONS, Si Lom Road. etc.), close to public transport, Lumphini Park, etc.

We had some trouble locating Urban House (partly Wi-Fi issues on our phones). Perhaps thought could be given to posting a sign at the junction with Yommarat Alley.

Beautiful room, almost like an apartment. Clean and well maintained. The woman who runs the hostel is lovely and knowledgeable about bangkok- every time we left the hostel she asked where we were going, gave us advice on transportation, and tips to remember. There was always drinking water and snacks, and it was very quiet. LOVED that you could control the A/C in your own room. Lots of great coffee shops and restaurants around.

It was a bit far from the center of the city, and at the back of an alley which made grab drivers confused and we were cancelled on many times as they couldn't find us.

The location is right beside the Si Lom train station, a major station in Bangkok and on two different subway lines. There were a lot of Thai and Western food options nearby, as well as a mall and some major nightlife. The house itself is super clean and organized, and they had some free coffee, tea, bananas, etc for everyone. The room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator btw but not a big deal), and was very large and clean. They also gave us 8 bottles of water for 4 days without asking, very kind. This was definitely the largest room I stayed in during my whole Asia trip, and the cheapest! AC was good, shower was good, bed was comfortable. They also communicated with me via Booking.com very quickly, and in-person the attendant (who is there only during work hours btw unless specifically asked) was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of tips.

Urban House, Bangkok offers basic, clean rooms equipped with AC. The location is ideal, just a short walk from Sala Daeng BTS station. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Perfect for budget travelers looking for comfort and convenience in the heart of the city.

While not a dealbreaker in itself, my digital hygrometer kept recording the humidity in the room to be around 80%! An air conditioner should reduce humidity as part of its cooling process. However, if it doesn't, it might be due to: 1. **Improper Size**: An oversized AC cools the room too quickly, not running long enough to dehumidify effectively. 2. **Low Refrigerant**: Insufficient refrigerant can impair the cooling and dehumidification process. 3. **Dirty Coils/Filters**: Dirty coils or filters can reduce the system's efficiency, affecting dehumidification. 4. **High Humidity Load**: Excess moisture from outside or other sources might exceed the AC's capacity. Regular maintenance and ensuring the AC unit is properly sized for the space can help improve dehumidification.

It's a nice place in a nice area. Close to markets, malls, and the station. You can find local food at decent prices. The room is big, comfortable, and clean. The staff is very smiling and polite. At the reception, there is a corner when you can have free snacks of fruits, coffee, tea, and other drinks. There is also a fountain to refill your water bottle.

It isn't something bad at all, I personally would have appreciated a bar to hang the laundry, there was so much space in the room. But great place !

We only stayed for a night but loved it. The location is perfect because you are right next to some tourist attractions and very well connected to the public transport. The receptionist was extremly nice and spoke perfect english, which we didn't find in any other hotel in Thailand (even at 5-star resorts). She gave us a lot of information and was very welcoming. The price is exceptional for the location. The shower is big, everyting is clean, just the room is a bit on the smaller side, but for the price it is more than okey.

Everything! The room was a great size. Spotlessly clean with a few different seating options one which could be used as another bed possibly. A largish fridge, an area to put your suitcase, a very nice bathroom with great water pressure. The location is fantastic literally 500m from Sala Daeng/Silom BTS/MTR and street food, shops and restaurants yet a quiet tucked away location. Checkin was easy quick and informative.

Worth noting that the property has no lift so people with large bags may struggle. And there is no wardrobe for clothes for people who like to unpack. There were hooks and coat hangars instead. These things were not a problem for me.
