This place has a great atmosphere and a lot of personality. I mentioned to staff that my wife and I were travelling on our honey moon prior to arrival and they made the bed up with some flower petals and made 2 swans kissing out of the bath towels. The staff were super friendly and helpful, also welcoming and happy to offer suggestions of what to do and visit. Beds were super comfortable too.

If I have to nit pick, the rooms don't have universal power plugs, but the staff are happy to provide a universal power adaptor. The blinds also let in a bit of light too, I usually sleep in darkness, luckily most night I was exhausted and fell asleep quite easily.

The breakfast was exceptional, good choice and fresh. The rooms were ckean, spacious and well appointed. The staff were delightful and the epitome of kindness and good service.

It was a little far to walk to town in the heat but taxis and tuk tuks were plentiful.

Very quiet space, there’s a local market within walking distance, you can easily grab food from there. Staff are very friendly and room service is good. The swimming pool in the hotel is lovely too.

The facility in some rooms can be improved a bit, for example the shower head in our room is hard to adjust, and will fall down if it’s too tilted. And door to our shower room doesn’t close tightly so water will wet the ground easily. The staff said it would take time to fix it so unfortunately it wasn’t fixed during our stay.

Yumi, the manager was the best part of our 4 night stay- she was always authentically happy and smiling and there to help with anything. The owner is VERY lucky to have her working for them. The rooms were charming- big rooms- SUPER clean and the pool cool. Nice to be just a little bit outside of the busy part of town. We used GRAB for rides around and very efficient and reasonable. Stay here!!

They do need more chaises at the pool and I suggest some shade, either more potted palms/trees , umbrellas. And more greenery in pots in that area would be nice. I also suggest a less expensive breakfast option or just include as the nightly rate can probably support that.

Thanks to the fabulous staff- especially Miss Yumi- I had a fabulous time at Amata Lanna Village. The room was spacious & tastefully decorated! The planting & flowers so well kept & organised, I especially loved the roses on each table! Magnificent! The pool was a real plus, though it was a bit cold - but well a good contrast! The breakfast is lovely I just wished they had a greater choice/menue during the day such as thai ice tea’s etc.! That’d be fabulous, even though I was told it is so easy to order things; won’t it be easier to serve drinks to the pool throughout the day I wonder?? All in all I had a fabulous stay!!!

Rooms could be more private; if only the balconies were separated or if only some mothers would not allow their children to use the entire hotel as their playground; however, this can happen anywhere else & the hotel is not your blame for. Admittedly I would have felt lost with my English if it weren’t with Yumi’s help- who literally saved my stay!!! Thank you for everything 🙏 Khop Khun Kha!

I loved it here! Perfect location, very safe and quiet. The staff is absolutely amazing, Yumi and Kae made us feel right at home and they both have such beautiful personalities. Rooms were stunning, from the details on the doors to the bathroom decor, it was all beautiful. The AC worked VERY well, I even had to turn it off a few times! The hotel is located right by the local market, which was very convenient and fun to see. Not that it was needed though, since Amata Lanna offers room service at a very decent price and very delicious!

Amata Lana is an absolutely lovely property in Chiang Mia. The photos don't do it justice, the walkways over the koi pond at the entrance and architecture were absolutely lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went above an beyond to keep in contact with me due to my late arrival. My room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. Daily breakfast made to order was delicious and a great option. My friends and I also were also able to book a spa appointment through the property and it was such a great experience. Highly recommend this property!

It was the best decision that I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. All staff was really sweet and helpful. They are the best staff I've ever met on all my trip. They really did their best to make my stay great. The place is surrounded by trees and it was beautiful and quite. It was located slightly away from the tourist attractions, but there is no problem because easily to grab a taxi. Traditional Lanna style room was also beautiful and and cozy. Their cleaning service was also good and I never found any ants or lizards in the room. If I visit Chiang Mai again, I will choose this hotel again.

If you value location from attractions, this place may not be the best option.

What a lovely stay! We loved everything about this property! The staff were all so welcoming and helpful! The bed was the most comfortable we had in Thailand and the room had beautiful teak accents throughout. The elephant jungle sanctuary tour and Akha cooking class we booked picked us up at the property. It's about a 10 minute convenient ride to the Night Bazaar. We hope to get a chance to visit this property again someday soon! 100% recommend!

It feels so welcoming from the moment you arrive, probably the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at and for the price was incredible. We slept so well, they have really comfy large beds and the sounds of the wildlife at night made it so peaceful. Breakfast was amazing and is freshly cooked in front of you (mango sticky rice was my favourite!) It was like a little oasis in the city, so calm and peaceful. Staff are really friendly and always smiling. It's also in a really nice location just far enough away to be peaceful but very cheap taxi to the centre and various night markets. We would definitely come back and highly recommend anyone to book.
