We have found that the owner's husband doesnt speak to his guests. On numerous occasions we have said Good Morning right in front of his face and we dont get any reaction from him. He must always communicate with his guests.

Great accommodation in a central location in Chiang Mai. Arrived here on the 2/03/2024 from Bangkok & our duration of stay was four nights. Checked out on the 6/03/2024. Check in was smooth (made with Booking.com) & all requests made in correspondence to hotel were completed upon arrival. Our room #was 105 on the ground floor. The room uses a standard key with power activation card so if you go out & want to keep the power on, you will have to take key off the activation card. Room was large enough for the both of us (two people) with ample area to store bags. Bed was big & linen clean on it. Ample power points for charging electronic devises. Bathroom used an instant water heater so there was always hot water on the go. Normal toilet (western) with toilet/bidet water gun. Small amenities provided (body wash/shampoo/earbuds) . 2 x 600ml bottles of water provided everyday & room cleaned in the mornings. Instant Coffee & tea provided in room with kettle. A/C is COLD & powers on day/night. Breakfast purchases when I booked accommodation, but you can buy breakfast for 160THB=AUD$6.80. The breakfast is a buffet style with coffee machine (latte, expresso) cereal, bacon, several style of eggs to your liking, cold fruit & yoghurt, other hot meats, bread & toaster & a very nice cake. There is no elevator here so if you have mobility issues, please request a bottom floor. There are toilets in the reception area, an active google maps computer screen to locate any places you want to go, ample seating. There is an activities book of what is going on each day in Chiang Mai. There are drinks (soft drink, water, beers) for sale in fridge at reception at same price as 7-Eleven. We had our washing done here & for 2KG it cost 270THB=AUD$11.50. You can hire a scooter or use the bicycles as well. There is a gym. WiFi is good & fast.

Very clean and comfortable hotel! They have a laundry service and a hotel breakfast (for small fees) which was very helpful for us. It is a short walk to the old city of Chiang Mai but you do have to walk down a red light strip. We had a comfortable stay here :)

To get to the old city of Chiang Mai and most of the biggest sights you have to walk down a red light strip which may make some people uncomfortable.

* Close to the old town and night markets. * Option of dishes from the fresh eggs for the breakfast. * Friendly people.

* It is worth knowing that the hotel is located in the red light district, so getting to the hotel always involves walking through a crowd of people trying to trick you into offering their services. * We had ants in the room. * Not all of the staff speaks English, so if you want to get something done, you may have to wait a few shifts.

The location is unbeatable. You're right in the thick of Loi Kroh Rd and everything you could possibly want is within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the hotel breakfast was amazing value and so delicious. I will be back! I recommend this hotel for your trip to Chiang Mai. They also help you book tours and activities (I didn't use this service but could see the advertisements). I even had a little balcony to sit outside!

Honestly not much! If anything the shower and bathroom were a bit dated but that is me being extremely pedantic. It is an excellent hotel and exceptional value for money.

This is the fourth time I've stayed at this hotel, that in its self speaks volumes... Its a great location, in easy walking distance of most points of interest. I am a lone traveller so it definitely suits my needs. I hope to back again in October 2025!

Very difficult to find fault with this hotel, if I was being really picky, I'd suggest in rainy season especially for the rooms that have their own patio, that an extra bath mat is left for use at door, so you don't tread water into your room. I actually used a hand towel which worked but a mat would have been better.

My favorite place to stay! I travel to Chiang Mai every month and stay at the Montha Hotel, if available. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. All the amenities you need. The optional breakfast buffet is well-stocked with fresh food, fruits, and vegetables. Eggs can be prepared to order. Free secure parking is available across the street. The hotel is less than 150 m from the boxing stadium. It is a 500 m walk from the Bella Goose, with fantastic biscuits and gravy! The photo is of a quiet first-floor room.

We loved Everything about our stay! This is by far one of my favorite properties in Asia but my favorite in Chiang Mai! From the minute you walk in, you can tell EVERYTHING has been expertly and meticulously chosen to make sure you will not be missing anything during your stay. The owners have definitely placed themselves in the shoes of the guest and know what you will be missing or needing. From the minute we walked in we felt welcomed and part of their family! We enjoyed our stay so much we booked it again on our return stay in Chiang Mai, and we miss it! Out room came with: toothbrushes and a mini toothpaste, body soap and shampoo, two large and two smaller towels, hand soap, safe for your valuables, tea pot with choice of instant coffee or tea, sugar and creamer are also provided. It has a small refrigerator, beer/wine opener, ash tray, balcony, a small table with two chairs, chargers by your bed, hangers for your clothing, flip flops, etc. They also offer: excellent WiFi connectivity, free of charge bike rental (you do leave a refundable deposit for any incidentals), gym facilities, mini souvenir shop, refreshments for purchase by the Main counter, express and next day laundry services, assistance booking your excursions, help finding you a well priced/comfortable/safe driver, and one of the BEST breakfasts we’ve had thus far! You can also access their breakfast area (after hours) for coffee, snacks, use of microwave, and they also offer (for an additional fee) cup of noodles for those nights you want to stay in and not eat out. The area was also very quiet! Nim; one of the owners; is there every morning and day; greeting you with a smile and making sure things are running efficiently and well! Like I said; the place is impeccable and the level of Customer Service one of a kind!

Staff was nice, room clean, and the bathroom was great (it did not smell as opposed to many other hotels). The bed was big, and the mattress was quite hard. The balcony was nice, one could let the air circulate without a need for air conditioning. As in every hotel, one could easily join a day trip from the hotel. The lounge bar was great - from 11 am to 8 pm, one could use it with free snacks and drinks. Free bike rental as well.

There we some loud guests... And water was turned off for several hours (even more than that) due to some repairs that the government did not inform about. But there was no info on how long it would take.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and refreshed daily with fresh towels. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the ladies at reception, who spoke fluent and clear English, making communication very easy. Also, the guy who was at reception at night was very friendly The location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the area. The laundry service was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast had a limited selection, but the quality was excellent—fresh and tasty. We prefer a smaller selection with high quality, which was exactly what we got.

One thing to note is that there is no elevator, but the staff were kind enough to help us carry our luggage to the third floor during check-in. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this hotel!
