I LOVED my stay here so much, if I had more time I probably would have stayed for a week or more! This was exactly what I needed after being on the slow boat for two nights - somewhere calm and comfy. The hostel is so clean including the rooms, the toilets, the showers and the communal area. The beds are sooo comfy and you have a little pod so it feels very private. The showers are hot and have such good pressure! The free breakfast is delicious too. The owner Mat is genuinely so lovely and helped me with booking my buses to the next place. If you are coming to Chiang rai you have to stay here!! Such a good price for what you are getting as well!

The guy working at the front desk was SO incredibly helpful in planning things to do during my stay. Most staff will give you a few touristy things to do in a city. He sat down with me and helped me plan a whole itinerary and showed me maps with a good route to take. I spent my time in Chiang Rai having many adventures out of the city, which I probably wouldn't have found or known about if it wasn't for him. I'm really grateful for his help! During my stay, I booked a private room. It was a comfortable place to come back and rest after a long day. The common area downstairs was also a good place to meet other travelers.

As soon I arrived in Chiang Rai started feeling unwell, getting to Stay In Hostel my health situation got worse, understanding that I was feeling sick, barely finished the check in process, the owner offered to take me to the hospital which was such a great help since I had just got in town. Not only that, after long hours of bus ride, having not eating, the owner took my wife with his car, searching for rice porridge (the only thing I could eat, since I was hospitalized for that night). That was, over past 23:00 p.m. on Sunday!!! If it wasn’t for him, everything thing would be very stressful. During all time, my wife felt his concern and kindness towards our situation. No enough words to express gratitude for the owner, considering that it was quite late in the evening.

I booked for 2 nights, but extended my stay for more nights. Super clean and comfortable place to stay. Matt the owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice, free tea and coffee all day. Very good location too. I cycled to the White temple and the blue temple is very close by to walk to. Chiang Rai is a lovely place to chill out for a week to 10 days, not as hectic as Chiang Mai. Sunday night market is nearby and it's fantastic to visit.

The owner is very accommodating and bakes something different every morning to include in the breakfast (I specially liked the banana bread). Our room was perfect for 2 people and the beds were comfortable as well as the pillow, we got towels and a hairdryer if needed. The toilets have shampoo and bodywash. The clock tower and market are walking distance (15 minutes).
Unfortunately we didn’t sleep very well, there’s a church or something near by and at 7am you can hear someone on the microphone giving mass, the doors are also kind of old or people don’t know how to open them and close them gently (we could hear every person coming in and out of the room next to us). The bathroom and shower doors are also very noisy to open and shut.

Stayed in 6 bedded female dorm for 5 nights. It's my first time staying in dorm in Chiang Rai and I am quite impressed with the cleanliness. There is no shoe policy which helped. Basic breakfast provided such as bread, buns, margarine (if it's butter it would be way better), jam, coffee, hard boiled eggs and bananas. The mattress and quilt cover is so soft and comfy, I like the blackout curtain as it gives privacy at the same time provides convenience to everyone as the room light or bed light wouldn't affect myself or others - I chose this hostel over two other hostels with better location because they don't have blackout curtains (I think every hostel should have blackout curtains 😂). The bunk bed design is spacious, I requested for lower bunk and the upper bunk isn't too lower that gives suppressed feeling. There is individual light and socket beside each bed, best part is there is a bar in front of every bed to hang your towel/clothings. Air con is strong (it gets in your space with curtain closed), 23-25degree is cold enough for majority. If you are a light sleeper like me, remember to get ear plugs or if you are comfortable with your ear piece to block out noises, I slept through the night soundly with them. There are 2 shower rooms at each floor (shampoo and shower gel provided), water heater and pressure are working well. There is proper area to hang my washed clothings on the top floor balcony. The common space on 2nd floor level has sofa, dining table and a coffee table, tv with different apps including Netflix, fridge and little pantry. Owner (Matt) is staying on ground floor and he is easily reachable over Whatsapp.
Would be great it the margarine is changed to butter 😂

It's the best hostel I had in Thailand. Like the very best hostel you can imagine, and I'm usually very critical. The owner is amazing, so lovely and helpful about what to do here. You can book tours with him, they're very fair priced! Thanks again for such an amazing stay. We extended up to 5 nights! Btw I'm german, so if I say it's clean, IT IS CLEAN.
Nothing! Sweet clean hostel.

The bunk beds were comfortable and not connected so you didn't feel people moving around, they are also made of wood so not squeaky. Hot water in showers, plus shampoo and shower gel. Toilet rolls replenished everyday in the dorms. Water and coffee available all day. Nice little communal area where you could watch TV. Quiet hostel close to restaurant and 711 is 5 mins away. No mosquitoes during my stay. 24 hour self laundry next door (90 baht for wash and dry).
Not a social hostel, there were no organised evenings and everyone was in bed by 10pm. Everyone I shared with was going on the slow boat to laos so a good spot to meet up with people going that way.
