The location is great, on the sandy beach, not too deep, with small areas where one can snorkel and watch flocks of fish feeding on plankton. The hotel staff is very nice and friendly, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, there is a kettle and fridge in the room

The room was clean at our arrival, though nobody came to clean it during our stay. They changed out towels and brought us fresh bottles of water, so it was ok!

Manager upgraded our room without additional charge. He, along with the rest of the staff, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an infinity pool! We often swam in the pool in the evening after dinner. The hotel provides towels for both the beach and pool. Great location on a quiet street directly on Kai Bae Beach. It’s within walking distance to 7-Eleven, restaurants, shops, etc. We rented a scooter so we could visit other parts of Koh Chang. Breakfast buffet with both Thai and western dishes.

The Wi-Fi was a bit unpredictable, but we found this to be the case throughout most of Southeast Asia.

An amazing place recommended to us by travellers we met in Bangkok. The beachfront is one of the best I've seen and the infinity pool was lovely. The hotel is a little older than some but the location is stunning and the room was huge and comfortable. Enormous bed. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Reception person was kind and welcoming. Staff efficient and kind. Lots of free parking. Glorious sunsets.

That I had to leave. Only downside was that local taxis and golfcarts pass by on the lane between the hotel and the beach but traffic is infrequent and you just need to be aware. Also I guess, the usual self-centred people who drape a towel over a prime sun lounger at 7 am and leave it there all day whether they are there or not. Not the hotel's fault but geez that irks me.

I love this hotel! We come here each winter. Everything is great as always, will come back next winter.

The hotel was in a lovely location, right next to a sandy beach with shallow water. A nice large room with a comfortable bed, good wifi and air con. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

No food at the hotel after breakfast and a fair walk to any other restaurants. The breakfast was OK but geared towards asians with few offering for westerners. There was however a small cafe open during the day for snacks and drinks. The shower was feeble and often not hot. A little expensive for the facilities.

Loved our stay here at Mam Kaibae hotel. The staff are incredible, super welcoming, friendly and helpful. The staff at reception helped us arrange a boat for our next stop in Koh Mak and even helped us rent a moped for the day for 200 baht. The room while basic is incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The breakfast had a mix of Thai and western options and the freshly fried eggs and fresh fruit were delicious. The hotel is set in a great location, right on the beach and about a 5 minute walk leisurely into the town where there lots of restaurants, a 7/11 and shops to peruse. The rooftop infinity pool is stunning and a great place to cool off and watch the sunset!

We did have a few ants and a little gecko in our room in the evening time even though we kept our doors and windows shut, but I think this is only to be expected when you're surrounded by nature! We didn't mind it really, it all added to the experience.

We randomly chose this place from several others we had shortlisted as possibilities, so,so glad we did. Loved 😍 this place. Extended our stay and considering going back. It was super clean and quiet. ...and the pool..so awesome yet never busy likely due to the great beach basically at your doorstep. Ample lounge chairs and seating. Full on breakfast, no chance of going hungry. Close to walk to restaurants and sunset bars . Definitely in my top 10 of places I have stayed in multiple countries over the last 25 years. Staff were great as well. Elephants on the beach some afternoons, lots of watersport equipment available near by too.

I probably shouldn't give this place raves because I'm concerned about it being super popular and unavailable next time I go back but honestly I can't think of a single negative thing except beer was sorta pricey, fortunately there is a 7-11 15 minutes walk away

Great location. Nice pool. Rooms were spacious and had required amenities. Clean and comfy. Near bars, restaurants, 7-11. Near main road for transport but far enough away that couldn't hear any traffic. Beautiful beach right there.

Nothing. Only things, if you really want them, no laundry or hotel bar and reception closes at 7pm but as near the town its only a 5-10min walk to 24hr 7-11 and 24hr laundry 2 minutes past the 7-11.

Good location right on the beach with a lovely roof top pool. Rooms were clean if a little basic but had everything we needed. Good options for breakfast but no lunch or dinner available at the hotel. Not a problem with the Main Street in Kaibae only 5 to 10 minutes away.

Needs a little updating and though reception were helpful concerning our onward travel arrangements, staff could have been more welcoming and approachable.
