Just had a great stay at Lapaya..large bungalow overlooking garden and pool...staff great and always cheerful..we rented a scooter which really transformed our stay as the hotel is centrally located so with the scooter it was easy to reach everywhere..same price renting direct from hotel as everywhere else but you don't need to worry about leaving passports or money security..Breakfast good and they will make pretty much what you ask..Pool area excellent. Some superb restaurants within a 100yds from the hotel..Overall great value for money and would definitely stay again.

I never quite seemed to get the hang of the shower although the wife seemed to manage it..Be careful not to leave food or sweet drinks lying around or you could invite micro ants in. A couple more sunbeds around the pool would be good too.

The little bungalows offer a large space with a sitting room and veranda area with seating. Comfortable beds, good shower pressure, small fridge. Breakfast was a choice of 7 set meals. Staff very friendly. Pool very clean and refreshing Beach 5 min walk. Lots of small authentic Thai restaurants a few minutes away.

Location - the beach although rocky when tide out..in evening the chilled bars ..really the best

The rooms were big and clean. The location is good, there are a lot of food options close by and you can walk to the beach. Though to explore more of the island we always rent a bike in Thailand as this is the best and most cost-effective way to get around.

The pool was nice and clean but the pool chairs are well past the time of getting them replaced. If they'd just get new ones, it would transform the whole pool experience. Also the breakfast is passable, but don't expect any culinary experience there, but this is quite usual in hotels like this.

This is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at in Thailand, seriously immaculate. The bungalows are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The property provides beach towels as well. The included breakfast has several options cooked to order and the wait staff are amazing and very attentive. The owner is very sweet and helpful. I was very impressed overall. The shower is the first truly hot shower I have had in over a month of traveling here. We also enjoyed and appreciated that the property is quiet...very few hotels are truly quiet at night in Thailand, coming from Canada where it is easy to find quiet, its something I really miss and it was so nice to just listen to the crickets and wind at night and not have to endure a loud bar or restaurant with pounding music.

I do wish we had a second full size pillow in each bed, not juat the decorative pillows that never get the pillow case washed or changed....the shower floors are also quite slippery on bare feet and we had a couple close calls with slipping. These are both very minor.

The breakfast was very good. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were fabulous especially kor and neme.

Some if the pool lounges were in need of repair and more umbrellas would be good. Also a garbage can at the pool would be helpful with consistent monitoring of the pool area for garbage left behind. The pool was a bit murky and not too clear. This should also be addressed.

GREAT PLACE! GREAT STAFF! Great beds, atmosphere, food, WIFI, location, near 7-11 and great places to eat at night and in the afternoon! The pool was FANTASTIC also!

NOTHING. I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE. GREAT PLACE TO STAY while in Koh Lanta. More chill and quiet then Koh Phi Phi. Beach water isn't as great as PHI PHI but still a nice place to relax.

Pool was large , clean and well situated. Breakfast was a set menu , but more than adequate. Everyone serves instant coffee , I guess that’s there thing. Centrally located , so having a scooter was made it easy to get around the island.

Really no negatives , the resort is not a five star hotel, but it is certainly a well maintained 3 star. I would recommend staying there.

The bungalows are in a great little resort in Koh Lanta with a few bars and restaurants. The bungalow was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Big living area, outside area and bedroom. Water, coffee and toilet roll replenished daily and the room was cleaned every other day.

Breakfast was included in the booking. It was ok but a lot of the food is left uncovered, and open to the flies etc that are around.

The room was spacious, clean and comfy. We had a separate lounge to the bedroom which was nice. Bathroom was massive with a powerful shower. Wi-Fi was good and the staff were lovely. We hired a moped with them and they were a great help when we had some trouble.

The pool was under construction (due to it being low season) but there was no warning of this. They allowed us to use a pool of another hotel a 2 minute walk away which was very considerate. However that pool was filthy and had ALOT of dead creatures in it. That was hotel also looked empty. Not a fault of Lapaya’s. If the pool was in use it would have been a 10/10
